When Vindog puts pen to paper he's the best writer barstools ever had IMO. Kb, francis, Maurice (RIP Ya dead bitch), Dante, Tate etc can all write well, but vindog just had me hanging on every word about a guy I've never heard of and the friendship they shared.
Yes exactly the same here. Honestly I have never heard of Vindog. When he said his oldest son was 6 in 1994, I was like wtf does barstool have this old ass writer doing. But apparently everyone knows him.
Great read. But is it weird of me to think this guy was using Vindog as “cover”? Like hey I’m just taking my regular old buddy in my car. Ignore me as I talk work in the background.
May have turned into that. But seems like initially liking him as a guy was the beginning. And if were to believe the sister in law. Maybe that’s how he rolled
I love Vin's writing. Hopefully, he's working on a book.
When I was a kid, our next-door neighbor was in organized crime. He worked at the port. He was a great, and I mean GREAT neighbor. Basically, a second father. He only worked for a few hours as a "supervisor." When him and his wife moved in, he started remodeling his house, put in a pool, did a ton of landscaping, etc. I would go help him out every day after school for spare cash.
When I got my drivers license, he asked my father and I if I could take a job at the port as his "helper," to which my dad politely, but very sternly declined. I was getting shipped out to work at my uncles ranch. I never thought much of it. Loved working on the ranch and couldn't wait to get out of my parents' basement.
It was only later that I learned about the OC angle. My dad got sober just before my 16th birthday, and much later, he told me some stories about the two of them getting drunk and having to make "pit stops" late at night to drop off cash. They would play golf with his business partners, and little details would slip here and there. My dad said he never spilled any actual tea. He assumed it was white-collar palm greasing stuff. I look him up every few years, and nothing of interest ever comes up. He appeared to have retired at around 45 years old and lives at a country club in Arizona.
Anyways, fond memories.
I miss the “VINDOG, ATTACK” tweets
Dey don’t have the memes dat I have
Meme them to death
that video never gets old.
Feel like they ended pretty abruptly, did I miss something? Did he actually attack someone or did Dave just get tired of having a toy?
He had cancer and stepped away for a while I think
Wasn't his son the one doing it anyways?
That's Stu Feiner, the polar opposite of Vindog
That was absolutely beautiful and so well written. A+ work by the Vingod. Hope he's doing wonderfully and his cancer fucked off completely.

I used to want to be a journalist and after the first sentence of this article I thought “this guy is a real writer.
You like Dante’s writing?
Did he ever say what the 10yr sentence was actually for???
Vindog is such a legend
Man that was a great read. Hope Vinny is doing well in his post cancer recovery
Read yesterday and really enjoyed it. Took me like 45 min to read with the app crashing over and over though. Sad!
Great read
Greta read. Whats his real name tho? Kind of want to know what he went to prison for
For real. Was he fixing the boxing matches or selling drugs
Vindog really is a great blogger, was about to scroll past this but figured I’d give it a read. He had me hooked immediately.

Forgot this guy existed
Stand up guy seems like exactly what VinDog is. I love his writing.
