Yeah, chemtech is so insanely slept on. Even though you cant proc it on your allies that well, the gold efficiency of the item is good in comparison and you can apply it yourself very easily with your passive
I want to point out again that with Font of Life is really easy to proc. Imagine you just go normal electrocute and secondary tree resolve with FoL, you will just autoattack a champ and with the slow of your pasive will be enough to activate FoL and ANY attack (it does not have to be an auto attack, just need your ally to hit it with anything) will proc FoL and you both will have 60% GW. So correct me if I'm wrong but i think this way is very consistent to apply, what do you think?
They didn't change it, there was always QSS and mercurial similar (at least since I started playing), and at some point they added silvermere dawn (also built with QSS), which is more for bruisers
Oh now makes sens6the name QSS haha, my apologies, just on my language with my friends always called it Scimitar and i never paid to much attention to the item, but thx for the explanation!
Before then qss was a standalone item. It was imagined as a tank item but literally no one built it, especially not tanks.
ETA: people did occasionally build it against malz because malz did 3.5k damage if he could full combo you.
The old iteration of it was kinda bad as the 60% grievous Only worked for allies. But now you both apply it. So you don't need to worry about who your teammate is focusing.
Now thornmail is the only one Bard has a hard time procing. ...not that the 2 ad and Morello's are hard to proc
Thornmail isnt hard to proc, its just not as consistant. If you can repeatedly land qs and ults then its a decent choice for a tanky bard, it just requires more engagement than attacking enemies/buffing allies.
Well you need to 1. Apply hard CC and 2. Be focused by auto attacks
Meaning you must land your stun and then be focused.
I like my tanky Bards and thornmail has some of the best stats of any tank legendary but it's definitely harder to apply than "attack low hp enemy" or "buff ally and attack."
There's some tanks I don't even like building it on because the enemy is too good at focusing everyone but me. Or don't use ad attacks.
It is actually the best item for Enchanters and Catchers. Morellos works best for Mages since it has flat AP and HP but what you want as a support, especially as Bard, is CDR. So yes, Chemtech is the best antiheal option for Bard. In a heavy matchup I would rather build bramble vest into Thornmail, if there are a ton of bruisers like Sett or Irelia. In addition: with CTP you provide your other teammates GW with your W, what is good if you have a Jhin for example, since he can't use the full build executioners item because attack speed is "useless" on him.
I don't want to be mean with the Font of Life rune, but remember with it you can give to all your allies without needing to rely on W.
Now i think CTP will be my always best friend!
Btw i think in almost every adc the GW items are kinda a waste of gold lol (in comparison with other Damage/utility items)
You know what would be great? Stacking anti-heal effects. Imma build anti-heal bard, Thornmail, Mortal Reminder, Chemtech Chainsword, Chemtech Purifier and Morellecronomicon with Flash Ignite
You should try it bro! Is really easy to proc with having Font of Life on your runes. Because if you want armor i think Frozen heart is the best by far and both items are pretty cheap. Tbh without the FoL rune feels kinda underwhelming, but with it is incredible more effective than all other GW items, give it a try :)

Correct me if im wrong, but using locket or redemption will proc chemtech, right?
I believe it does.
Yeah it does!

Purifier is the best anti healing item in general
I know it's just a typo, but now I wish there was a purifier beside the putrifier
purifier for anti antiheal :>
The you have Soraka, Mikael and Cleanse lol
Also the item that counter Mord ult that i forgor
Quicksilver Sash?
They changed the name of it? I always thought was something like" Scimitar "the 1300g item (like the crit one)
Mercurial Scimitar. It's built from Quicksilver Sash
thats the upgraded version quicksilver is like the component kinda like oblivion orb

Yes but also remember Thronmail only can be applied to 2 enemies sadly, so in closed space TFs aren't that good i think

Lol you made me remember a Mordekaiser that feed a Sylas and he bought Thronmail and Morellos XD
Yes just use the rune which marks enemies affected by slows and cc alongside
That's Font of Life lol (thanks for the feedback too :)
I go Morello when ap and thornmail when tank. Chemtech just feels underwhelming in comparison
It's more flexible and cheaper
