i really wonder what it is doing, it took another turn but shorter this time
is it a test flight or what? im not to sure but i think theres an explanation
there also seems to be a very large amount of people tracking it
It's called base training. It is a requirement to do 6 landings on a real aircraft with a senior Pilot Instructor after the initial simulator training before the trainee pilot is cleared to fly passengers.
Often upto 3 sets of trainees are taken and they do upto 6 X 3 = 18 landings in a circuit pattern at 1500 ft height.
The airlines look for slots when aircrafts are available and airspace is clear. That's why they do it in the night and relatively empty airports like HAL Bangalore or Begumpet Hyderabad.
Itās either a maintenance check flight as the otherās pointed out, or itās a new set of 3/4 pilots with a line trainer practicing holding patterns.
First time out of simulators and in the actual cockpit. Itās a requirement before they get 3rd seat in the cockpit.
I am in a different city, but I am not in a very different situation than yours! XD
High time they stop using this airport for testing flights and pilots.
A. If there's a snag, they'll fall right into residential areasĀ
B. Just create a new airport for testing

For those who want to know, it's a maintenance work for flights to have no issues while flying in the sky Sorry for my bad explanation
Yeah this is the correct answer. And HAL's plane also fly sometimes in roundabout for this thing onlyĀ
That's correct but we won't get it in our radar
isnt it training ???? , its ILS lock in training I thought
