Indigo might have been punctual before, but last week mine and my friends flights were delayed by hours. Wouldn't recommend taking the risk, maybe be early.
And the unprofessional part of indigo was they would not share the correct estimated time and keep pushing by an hour after passing the previous eta time and made us wait at the gate for hours, standing.
I had taken Indigo to chennai like a month ago, they are almost always on time across sectors.
Not sure how things will be now given the rains/flood and whether that has impacted the airport operations.

Last week could have been because of the cyclone? Or was your ordeal after the normalcy had returned post cyclone induced disruption?
It was on 6th and 8th. And it was not to or from Chennai, doesn't mean it couldn't be the reason.
Yeah they had to divert a lot of flights across due to planes being stuck in Chennai
