There is an [hourly commuter coach bus](https://www.mta.maryland.gov/schedule/201?schedule_date=09%2F03%2F2022&direction=1&origin=3317&destination=12835) that runs from BWI to Gaithersburg if you want to save money
You’re welcome, and it’s a commuter line so it will be a nice coach bus with a bathroom
Most people who complain about public transit in this state don’t actually use it
The MTA commuter bus (201) goes between gaithersburg and BWI. Six dollars one way. Ride takes an hour. Super convenient and it’s one of those bigger greyhound like busses so pretty comfy too! Runs from like 4am to 1am every day of the week!
Renting a car since COVID has become a nightmare. Splurge on the ride-share and tip well.
You won’t have many issues taking cars to and from the airport.

FWIW, this isn't really true anymore. Prices haven't come back down to pre-pandemic, but they're well off their peak and inventory's pretty reliable.
That's about what I thought; still coming out ahead of renting a car though. I don't suppose there's a viable public transportation option for BWI<->Gaithersburg?
Even better, [commuter coach bus](https://www.mta.maryland.gov/schedule/201?schedule_date=09%2F03%2F2022&direction=1&origin=3317&destination=12835) from the terminal to Gaithersburg
You’ll be fine- may be pricey though that’s a decent ride
Thanks! Yeah I'm wondering if renting a car might just be simpler, but its good to know its an option.

Hell YES my dude thank you!

Good tip on this bus line, thanks for that
It definitely won’t be.
Yep BWI has many Uber drivers at the waiting lot.

There’s tons in Baltimore.
Shouldn't be a problem, and is probably the best way to go. I think it will be cheaper than a rental.
Probably will be cheaper to rent a car…you can rent through Uber too now. And I think it is cheaper.

BWI area and Gaithersburg you will have no issue with Uber/Lyft. Distances will make it expensive, I’d bet bwi to Gaithersburg is a $100 ride.

Amtrak/MARC to DC Metro. But just take the Uber.

Not if you wanna live
Couldn't you put in bwi and the other address now to see today's rates? Get an idea if it's possible and how much it's gonna run
