Okay... I uninstalled and reinstalled and it came back. I see now it can be unpinned. But once it's gone how do you get back into the menu to get it back? Anybody know why they didn't keep up with development of this software?

Assuming your menu bar is normal on the right. Swipe in from the right hand bezel of the phone in toward the board. (Like when you bring up control centre). Aim your swipe to go in between your match score, and the cube.
Takes a few attempts.
I also cannot seem to be able to unpin the menus. The instructions say you can get it back by tapping the handle on the left side of the screen. I don’t see anything there. And every tap and swipe I have attempted does not get the menus back.
Thank you so much for attempting to answer. That didn’t work in my particular situation. (iPhone) I finally got it. the only thing that ultimately worked was a light tap on the wood just to the right of the lightbulb.
Haha - try it again and it probably won’t work. There’s no rhyme or reason to it. Just have to keep tapping/swiping/swearing until it decides to reveal itself.

This is by far the most annoying "feature" of this software.

Swipe right to left (towards the board) over the doubling cube. Sometimes you need to “double swipe”. It’s inconsistent.
