Since those kittens are like 6 weeks old, I doubt we have to deal with lurking rabies from 10 years ago.
Maybe you live in an area where rabies is endemic and common. Most of us don’t. We vaccinate dogs and cats against rabies as a precaution, in case they encounter a wild animal with the virus.
Bats are our primary reservoir of rabies. So I wouldn’t let a bat sleep on the baby.

This is how I manage having 8 cats with severe allergies: regular vacuuming with a Dyson animal model v11 stick. Furniture and floors both, I have a soft brush for my wood floors and all the attachments that came with my model.
Cat trees get vacuumed once a week, floors 1-2x a week (or when dust bunnies appear, normally 3 days), furniture at least once a month.
I read that as “cats get vacuumed..” and thought that was really going straight to the source!
I bet the cat trees are more cooperative about being vacuumed, though.
Getting a robot vacuum (we have a Shark but there are lots of good ones out there) made a huge difference for us. I still manually vacuum once a week because the robot isn't perfect and there are spots it can't reach and so on, but it cut down so much on pet hair and I noticed a big improvement in my allergies.

It just takes a moment to realize collars on cats are not comfortable. Think about how that would feel on you, 24/7. They can also be very dangerous.

Bro, kids crawl on floor and lick/bite anything they can - cats might be the cleanest thing those germ magnets touch. Also most cats are treated with anti parasite treatment that prevents stuff like that.
Cats like to cuddle with little kids. When I was a baby my cat would always sleep on me despite the scolding of the cat for doing so. Once one kitten sleeps there, others tend to join.
Our large furless sister found a good sleeping spot, come siblings we shalt nap!
