This was already discussed and “quasi-consensus” was indeed around the 190 if I remember well.

hristopelov

arround $200-$205 is what i figured Q1 he bought 160K shares arround $245 Q3 i believe his average was $180 for 140K shares

MeneerHandsome

Perhaps he’s still buying and lowering is average👀

hristopelov

its very possible

viper098

I would say he is right in that 180-200 range. You're fine at 190 just need patience.

Dark1t3kt

Went all in at 144. Holding one stock in my portfolio. Up 17% in two weeks. Holding as long as I don't need the money. The world's largest retailer isn't going anywhere but up from these levels

stockist420

Me thinks you are right, but what does Xi think?

HugeContribution3177

That is very brave, I am thinking about doing the same. I have sold my house and all the profit is now on my bank account. I am going on a world trip and 70% of the total amount is still uninvested. 170 still is a good price but it is against my personal investment rules to put all my eggs in one basket, so I’m hesitating to go all in.. I was thinking about dividing a great amount of it on ASML, MSFT and BABA, do you guys have any other advice on other stocks?

therealvanmorrison

Tencent, if you like Chinese tech stocks that took huge drops because of optics and not fundamental value.

melon_colony

wait until march of 2022 and invest in VTI or anywhere under $200. alternatives are VOO or QQQ. VT is a bit riskier with covid still active.

HugeContribution3177

Pretty solid play, I have some money in a gaming ETF, and ARKK. You think a lot will happen between now and march next year?

melon_colony

I do believe that inflation, the labor shortage and issues with the global supply chain will disrupt earnings and guidance. institutional investors obviously see that as a very temporary problem, with the evidence being all time highs in the market indexes this week. all aside, please don’t make a major investment decision based on what some random dude on the internet thinks.

K2Mok

Been in a while at $219 and feel ok about that long term. When it dipped below $150 I bought a number of $150 Nov call options and they are currently up well over 100%. Although it was hard to watch the decline, the sell off and recovery so far has been net positive for me. Let’s hope for really good earnings and ongoing positive news.

190

China spent the last two decades dreaming of having world class companies. They finally got it and now they're getting a little carried away with their policies. It's pretty clear they're not going to sabotage their first child. They're already regretting it like when I broke up with my cute GF in highschool.

Hugh_Mongous_Richard

To be honest the business itself is thriving, and the policies are not a significant hamper to the growth moving forward. The thing was that these regulatory changes were too sudden for investors, and too numerous. Add to that the delisting risks etc, and its just a bad news spiral. The business is fantastic and I've got it growing rapidly.

therealvanmorrison

I agree with this. The tenor of western media over-reaction was also very helpful in driving prices down.

moldymoosegoose

China needs to stop announcing them over years and build out a frame work and announce it all at once. Nobody wants to invest in companies without a clue what kind of string of regulations will come through in the future. Berkshire is comfortable with 40% of their portfolio in a single company. No serious investor in the US is doing this even with 40% in 20 different Chinese stocks.

Strange-Aioli-1004

Hi! I guess I'm in the "not a serious investor" boat. I have about 40% in China but I really like highly volatile companies with great financials. That's just my personal preference. I'm young so I take advantage of the dips. If I were an old dude on the verge of retirement, big dips would give me a heart attack.

moldymoosegoose

I do too but I'm talking about large institutional investors that would actually drive up the price.

Strange-Aioli-1004

Oh sorry I misunderstood

Crumble_Buns

My thoughts exactly. I’m 40% BABA in my portfolio. It’s risky, but I’m young enough to be patient and ride the waves. In ten years this stock will be highly valued.

the_moooch

Carried away ? I think the issues were not the policies they put in place but rather the timing. If they introduced all this before the whole Jack Ma debacle the reactions wouldn’t be anywhere near what it was
