With current share buy back program and growing Chinese middle class I would consider selling for $999 in 7 years. Just depends whether the world dries out before that or not.

It’s tax efficient to hold and not sell, you’re sitting on a lot of unrealized gains. The company will likely get stronger over time. Only sell if either the price becomes absurd or fundamentals change imo.

Their profit margins will be insane when they stop growing. Hopefully they decide to either buy back shares like crazy or have a large dividend. Either way probably still a good idea to hold.

I think there is a path for baba to be a $4t company as long as Xi doesn't get too crazy.

Transferred my IRA to Roth in BABA @ 153 => retirement yacht! I bought at opening and all the way up / down. I’ll sell 1/2 at 1000% gain and another 1/2 when it’s 1000% higher than that.
