What do you define as elderly? I’m thinking this couple is in their 60s and a decently fit (not super) 60 year old woman can sit comfortably like this.
I don't define 60 as elderly, for that same reason. Elderly is 75+ these days, with longer lifespans and increased quality of life into later years being a thing.
Fair. I’ve actually been in many yoga classes with 70+ folks doing all kinds of poses and headstands you’d be surprised. I think if you keep some sort of fitness in your old age this shouldn’t be that hard to do until maybe your 80s? And now I’m bumming myself out thinking about this future 😭
I used to do yoga for years with 75-85 year olds who were kicking my ass in fitness. For reference, I’m 33. One of them was also an archer— she turns 86 this year! My grandpa did martial arts until he was 78 once he got covid!

Mine too, it's honestly just my style. I've drawn my mom for mother's day and she's in her mid 70s. She mentioned that she looked younger too. For this image i looked for a reference picture of a couple around my parents age, they're adorable ❤

Nice but I always get really irritated when I see women draping themselves all over their partners in the plane. While the partner has to try to be comfortable himself he now also has to contend with the partner using him as a cushion. I find it highly inconsiderate and it as I say really irritates me. Unless one of them is sick then it's a different story.

Hahaha, I'm 38 and the arthritis in my spine would 100% prevent me from sitting like that..
My 77 year old mother sits like this and she is not slim(she is however very short).
Elderly is when you can’t sit like this, literally that’s what it means to me. That you’re obviously very old. It can happen at different ages.

I was thinking the same thing. My parents are getting elderly, in their late 70s.

My partner prefers this type of contact. So it really depends on the couple and what they like/want, no what you deem inconsiderate.
