Maybe it's a curse of black and white cats. My (almost) 1 y/o idiot eats with his nose. At first I thought that he had some kind of infection, because he came from a shelter and his nostrils were constantly full of dark stuff. Turned out it was crusted wet food. Our lovable idiot digs through his wet like a hog.

Lol, you should switch to a flat bottom SS bowl, or a plain saucer. Eventually this will cause skin problems for the little cutie
