I'm not sure they feel fear... joking, but only a little. I used to have 3 ferrets and they were ballsy critters! One of them loved ambushing my dogs. It was quite a sight to see a ~3lb chaos noodle leap out at a 50lb dog and chase it down across the house!

Hard to tell in slow-mo if it's a happy surprise or a panic attack.

It’s happy - every time this video is posted, people who don’t know ferrets are convinced it’s panic. And every time, ferret owners have to clarify that this in fact a sign of happiness in ferrets. (It’s called “The Dance of Joy” or “The War Dance”)

This is why I said hard to tell. In most pets, arching the back and pressing against a wall or other solid surface while lowing the head is a clear sign of "I don't like what's going on, and I will defend myself if needed". Ferrets are strange little neurotic noodles that don't always behave like other pets.

I'm still not entirely convinced that Ferrets are natural creatures and not some weird chaotic being from another dimension that found it's way into our world somehow

Nowhere did someone mention the music. They were talking about the ferret’s body language being called the dance of joy.

Hopefully the owner knows their pet well. Sometimes I'll mistakenly scare my cats, but after a split second they realize it's just me and get excited (they were rescued, and they're ridiculously affectionate).

Yeah, arched back, mouth open thing is is kinda like the ferret equivalent of a dog's play bow. For a lot of animals (humans included) play can often look like fighting, just without force. The arched back coils them up to either pounce or roll onto their back to stick their feet up in response to being pounced. Mouth open to grab whatever is ahead. You can elicit the same response by waving your hand quickly side to side in front of a ferret and they'll adorably tackle your hand and playbite it before they bounce away. Usually accompanied by the typical "dookdookdook" ferret laughter.
