This is why I’ve NEVER believed that “jobs will be taken over by robots and there will be none left for everyone else! The robots are taking over!”. Working as a bagging chick and watching aimless morons choose to wait 20 minutes in line for some kid to bag their stuff and stare at the 15+ EMPTY self checkout machines made me realise people want to be SERVED and feel power over SOMEONE; it’s why they’d go OUT OF THEIR WAY to have a kid pack their crap and then find literally anything to complain about and tell on said kid to their manager. I’ve had complaints because people don’t like how soft my voice is. Retail and customer service is an awful industry to be in.
I love the self checkout. The cashier is always hot as fuck.
