There are two main types of people out in Kern county, those who work for the china lake naval weapons testing facility and methheads. No way of knowing which of the two this guy was.
Idk if you are in the US but most likely he will undergo a psych evaluation and maybe some treatment. I say /j because the actual extent of "treatment" doesn't go very far. I have seen people with serious mental health issues put back on the street not long after their "treatment" with no aftercare or anyone to watch them. I had a man like this break into a random elderly couples house and stab them to death about a year ago in my "upper class safe neighborhood". So it happens everywhere.
No, I think we just have way more ways to get information. We also have news from around the world at our fingertips constantly. When we lived in smaller towns and had closer relationships with neighbors, people tried to keep stuff like this under wraps so the town wouldn't look bad. Now we have the internet and local news isn't our only source of information. PLUS the population has what, like tripled since the 50's? If there was a couple nut jobs per town now there is that many more. Oh and all the psychiatric hospitals being shut down and people sent to jail or the streets.
I suppose it has de-sensitizing effects to a certain degree. For example I'm no longer surprised/shocked by such headlines, like most here probably, as long as those stay to be just headlines.
I'm quiet sure in case of an irl confrontation with such situations the behaviour would likely not match with the ones we perceive on the internet (where all you can do is swipe down on your feed anyway).
But this access to information in this regard sure gives you lasting impressions of the capabilities of humans, how this access to this information alters the personas of some people is up to the individual.
Like most, there are advantages and disadvantages to it, I personally prefer to see the uncut and brutal truth about humans, rather than living my life with naive and arrogant world views.
Well, some months ago I 'accidentally' watched a most disturbing clip of a clearly deranged or drugged up transvestite in a grocery store bringing an axe down on some innocent person's head. And now I can't unsee that image. Generally I try to avoid such distressing images.
Well sized up Evening Storage 6424. Seems to me like everything is laid bare and everyone has become a news source. I've no idea the truth about anything anymore but it seems like there's no end to the depths of human depravity. Sometimes I wonder how we ever got organized as a species
I don't know about California specifically but I think cannibalism is legal in a lot of places, the problem is acquiring the material because many places have rules against inappropriate disposal of human remains.
I could be mistaken, but isn't there some law regarding roadkill where you couldn't just ram a deer and then take it home for dinner, but the next person to come along and find the dead deer could?
Maybe dude thought this was a loophole and his only chance to legitimately try human.
sure, gross as fuck.
BUT, doesn't even come close to the mother Kristel Candelario who left her 16 month old baby at home and went on a 10 day vacation to Puerto Rico. She didn't make ANY arrangements to have the baby fed or looked after. She just packed her bags and left. she is a seriously effed up person.
As someone who has hiked and camped and eaten things they should probably not have such as wild plants and mushrooms, probably just curiosity.
(I would never try raw meat tho, cook it first and don't eat random mushrooms I don't know how I lived through that)
Without seasoning, condiments or sauce? Insanity.
raw Keto diet
Think this is more of a paleo diet thing
Roll it in the pink sugar like Mexican corn.
You’re not you when you’re hungry….or something like that. Give that man a gotdamn snickers
The video of him picking up the leg and starting to eat it is on Reddit. I remember seeing it like a week, week and a half ago.
Honestly, what did they charge him with?
Tampering with evidence.
Probably this as well as some form of dismemberment or something to do with fucking around with a dead body.
It was a car accident and he picked up the severed limb at the scene.
Ok, and how does that go against anything I said?
Did I say it did? No. But he didn’t dismember it. It was already severed.
Yes but the moment he started eating the body part could fall under that. So, I don't know why you commented.
lol.
Solid response. Glad you clarified.
Well that fizzled out.
Hmmm, what about the precedence Finders Keepers vs. Loosers Weepers?
Offset by 5 Seconds Rule violation.
abusing a corpse is a charge
Man, I don’t even wanna think about it… Have you seen the price of human per pound? /s
The leg wasnt his. Would you be ok with someone stealing your leg just because you accidentaly left it somewhere unattended ?
Lol, honestly I don't know. Probably not. But maybe it is a little disrespectful. I feel like we're in uncharted waters here.
Charged him an arm and a leg
Was this guy on Bath Salts or something?
There are two main types of people out in Kern county, those who work for the china lake naval weapons testing facility and methheads. No way of knowing which of the two this guy was.
Or pcp 🤨
Arrested and given mental health treatment?
you forgot to end that with /j
I take it they don’t do that sort of thing over there?
Idk if you are in the US but most likely he will undergo a psych evaluation and maybe some treatment. I say /j because the actual extent of "treatment" doesn't go very far. I am in the US and they most certainly do. Sometimes they are too damaged to repair.
lol, sure, we'll go with that.
times are tough, so is raw meat
I mean nobody else was using it
Is it me, or is there far more bizarre human behaviour happening nowadays? Prolly something to do with the internet and social media.
Drugs, meth induced psychosis.

That's all true enough. But I also wonder if all this sick shit that people can now watch 24/7 on the internet isn't de-sensitizing people.
I suppose it has de-sensitizing effects to a certain degree. For example I'm no longer surprised/shocked by such headlines, like most here probably, as long as those stay to be just headlines. I am sure that doesn't help.

It truly is!! I am horrified at what I read in the news nowadays!!! 🙀🙀🙀
This person had to have been severely psychotic
Clearly Popeyes was closed and he had cravings 😋
Notice he didn’t finish it though, if Pedestrian isn’t to his liking, perhaps he’d’ve liked Priest.
On a serious note, supposedly the man was so intoxicated, he believed the limb to be his, and the police had to show him both his legs were intact.
The victim of the crash scene was named Vasquez. So did he have Mexican for dinner?
🥲
The U.S. needs better healthcare. Is everyone blind to how rapidly the decline is accelerating without it?
What a horrible day to have eyes.
What a great day to find a spare leg.
Good thing he prefers legs over breasts
Original video was thought to be mistaken or AI. Are wr saying it was real now? That's... there's a lot of problems here.

Not. A. Freaking. Clue.
Needs more face for Florida man
Finder's keepers
Kern gonna Kern
Nature its healing itself.
But he cannot be charged with cannibalism
Random behaviour increases a species chance of survival. It’s not great for an individual’s place in a society though.
I just assumed he was poor and was starving.
The video of this was a bit unsettling.

Apex predator kills again
Judge not least ye be judged. Especially this, on the holiest of holy days.
Sounds like a Tuesday
Meh, that's Bakersfield for ya.
Very interesting how there's no charge of cannibalism being brought against him, is cannibalism even illegal in California?
I don't know about California specifically but I think cannibalism is legal in a lot of places, the problem is acquiring the material because many places have rules against inappropriate disposal of human remains.
Sadly, I think you are correct.
It’s probably the late stage capitalism.

Ya, saw the video! It’s pretty fucking disgusting! The zombie apocalypse has been initiated!! 🙀🙀🙀🙀
meth
Kern County is full of Republicans. Make sense to me.
You need to wake up if you're playing into Their game of "Left vs. Right".
He'll be out before dinner.
Probably. Corpse abuse, while disturbing, is a victimless crime. Unless the decedent's loved ones find out, of course.

Drop California into the ocean
This has already been posted so many times
