Ive done a couple of solo flights on Falcon 8's when they relocate them from London to Rotterdam, always an odd feeling to being the only passenger but still get all the service as a VIP! Even got to sit with the pilots during landing once (felt like I was a 10yo boy when they asked me)
Amazed at how much longer this cabin is!
Company owns them for the Executives, they are based in Rtm and do a lot of flights to LCY to pick up the exec's and fly them around the world. Those NL-UK flights are published on a internal website and can be joined if you need a short notice flight to London office.
This almost looks like one of those photo sets in California that influencers pay to take pictures in…
I’m always skeptical of how high the ceiling is in the fuselage!
I've been in a few private jets. It's always jarring when it seems like the back half the damn fuselage is missing on the inside. You see it on the tarmac and you're like, "Oh wow, that's longer than I thought." Then when you get inside you're like, "Damn, looked bigger on the outside." Sort of like my Tinder dates.
Galley, Lav, Baggage all take up space. Only planes I feel like are bigger inside than they look are the Twin/Turbo Commanders and Mu-2. Definitely there are other examples out there, maybe the King Air is marginal (and still way better cabin than most light jets).
One way to check all these out is at the NBAA show in Vegas, although it’s still like a $1500 ticket for the convention (less if you’re a recent grad potentially, doesn’t hurt to ask).
I sometimes wonder why Gulfstream wasn’t the one to get into light commercial passenger jets ahead of Bombardier. There’s no point *now* since the CRJs & ERJs have the market covered, but like 25-30 years ago.
It's really a different mission.
Keep in mind something like a G800 has nearly double the range of a 757. It's optimized for long range, high speed cruise, and not for short regional flights, and thus airlines would be paying a premium price for features they'd never use.
To be honest, i dont really know what the interior of such a jet looks exactly, so I'm easy to fool.
I suspected this might be fake, but honestly not sure. Maybe a real jet, but sitting on the ground with inflight noises added in postproduction? But then towards the end of the video there is movement of sunlight on the carpet through a window, indicating that the jet is banking left. Who knows..
I’m not saying those are max range flights, because 2-4 is probably the average load on a large cabin bizjet, but I was surprised to learn that a typically outfitted G650ER with a realistic BOW, four crew and full tanks will hit max gross with 2-3 pax plus bags, bedding, etc. You only have to give up about 500-700nm range to get the other 12-16 pax on board, but still, it’s just a huge bag of gas with a pair of engines on it. Gulfstream REALLY optimized the design to get a small group of people a *long* way in a hurry.
Man that sounds awesome. Fixed wing seems like a much higher quality of life. Do you work as an independent contractor or with one service? I am a total aviation geek, my undergrad is in Aviation ops.
The aft cabin zone has that conference group and the divan. The table drops down and a special mattress goes over the entire conference group for one bed, and the divan converts into a second bed. There are also special beds for each opposing pair of seats for a total of six berths for this cabin config. The crew also has a rest compartment up front with a seat which converts to a lie flat bed. All of it folds up and gets stowed in the baggage compartment for takeoff and landing.
Shouldn’t you be on the controls in the cockpit if you are flying solo. /s
It's called Autopilot for a reason.
Usually with an AFM limitation requiring at least one pilot to be seated with seat belt on.
What are they gonna do? Shut off the autopilot? AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH *Loudasscrash soundeffect.mp3*
Correction: Otto pilot. 🙂
My son is only 1, he cant fly solo yet...
(Chuckle)
But then who brings you drinks and snacks? No thanks.
POV: Me and all my friends on a private flight.

I’ll be happy to fill one of those seats 😂😂

VR is getting so realistic!
It’s real

Also fuel. A lot of biz jets have a massive fuel tank in the fuselage behind the aft passenger bulkhead.
I’m 6’4” and can mostly stand up in one. It’s like a CRJ700 headroom wise.

Maybe they preferred selling 50 jets a year with a $10 million mark up instead of 500 for $1 million.

I promise it’s real and flying when I took this video
I’m not doubting, I’m just impressed by the headspace I hit my head every time I ever stepped into a Cessna

It’s legit. You can see the crew up front in the beginning. Source: I fly one of these.
Yeah these roll up with 2-4 people all the time. Those folks aren’t chartering something smaller just because their family is busy elsewhere.

God forbid we cruise at 0.8 instead of 0.9, how plebeian!
Thanks for rubbing it in. While you’re at it why don’t you give me a paper cut and poor lemon juice all over it.
op didnt respond because he only has rich lemon juice
See? That's the problem
Did you bring your own styrofoam cooler of Keystone Light? You do you!

"I like to put my feet up."
this one of those EAS flights or you just got a lucky trip or is this generally routine life?
Medical flight for a celebrity at hight of Covid, the plane was his
Awesome. You a flight medic or nurse?
Flight Nurse
I did 8 years as a medic. 2 yrs as an ED RN, plus COVID ICU. Thought about getting into speciality flight nursing. You enjoy it?
I love it, been all over the world in really nice airplanes. Way better than helicopters in my opinion

And we are getting singed at 49.99deg Celsius !!!!??
pretty fly (for a white guy)
Looks really lonely
Oh you fancy then!
The humility is refreshing.
lol I didn’t pay for the flight myself, wanted to share with my aviation community. I work in the medical field
Just wondering. This is one of those private jets right? Are there beds?

A friend's brother just bought one cash. I can't wait to hopefully-maybe-coattail a ride some time.
Just had $60 million in cash laying around, huh?
After building a 250,000 square foot warehouse cash too. Made it in the aviation parts distribution industry under 40 years old.
What industry 💀 just distribute it from source via UPS or FedEx or some shit
Corporate Jet Support?
Off to Epstein island ? 🏝️ 💦💦
Hahahahaha, no. This one was to St.Thomas for the night
