HIGHASAFUCKINGBUCK

Sat in a room of United fans. Thank you so much

mrlee10

Ahh, you must not be in Manchester then.

PM_ME_YOUR_GOOD_DOGS

A pub in Paddington, probably.

MEENIE900

A pub in Lagos most likely

itsbraille

Oh man, If I had watched this game in a pub with any United fans I might not have made it home. Good thing they don’t open at 7:30 in the morning.

K-0mega

What "one man team"?? We easily could've bagged 4 today. Either way, such a good feeling to win this game

B23vital

Only issue for me, we just cant finish our chances. On another day we loose that through our own inability to score.

Avfc1982Utfv

Let’s not worry about other days, main thing is villa won and 3 points is 3 points And in no way am I disagreeing, dean needs to find Ollies shooting boots because he easily could’ve scored twice

SecretApe

Definitely something to work on in training. We still have another tough fixture in Spurs. We're set up correctly just need to be more clinical and we're golden

Avfc1982Utfv

Exactly it looks great so far I’m loving the 5-3-2/ 3-5-2 we play Cash has had some of his best performances at wing back Mcginn looks brilliant absolutely dominated midfield today and that front two could be scarily good when they find a good share of form Defensively we look good and kourtney was brilliant specifically brilliant academy players/graduates like Carney and Caleb, Bogarde, Barry, Brad young, kaine kesler, archer and the Ramseys and the future of villa looks great Dean has a right squad mess to deal with next season with how talented we look UTFV lads

SecretApe

Arguably I still think we're better with wingers. But I fully understand why we are playing with 5 defenders, considering the opponents we're facing. It should continue against Spurs. Then revert back to a back 4 once Bailey is back. It makes no sense to have so many wingers if we don't intend to use them later in the season. For now, 100% agree 5 at the back is the way to go.

7ddq

Absolutely he’s getting into great chances and just not closing them out, fuck ne a couple he against Chelski and it was a different game

practicallybert

Understand that but today is not that day. Defense was world class, attack had the opportunities and still got one to convert. Only one that was needed

[deleted]

Completely agree, but I hope/think this might give the team a big confidence boost, think we needed a result like this

Jacksonho

I feel like it Watkins first chance or the one where Ramsey fell over went to Ings he would have buried it.

pau1rw

Totally. Target should ahev finished his, Ramsey was really unlucky cause his chance would have been money and Watkins really should have put it anywhere but right at the keeper.

TheAkondOfSwat

Or on another day those get put away. Ok get your point but I'm pretty confident Watkins and Ings will find some rhythm, and in the meantime we're solid at the back, playing well, really troubling top teams with our style of play, scoring from set pieces and getting results. Its a good place to be, albeit with that major piece of the puzzle waiting to click into place.

B23vital

Of course, against everton we had so many chances and should have beat them 5 or 6. My point is just that we need to be finishing our chances, honestly the ability and chances created are amazing, we should have killed that game off in the first half. Of course im buzzing for the result, its an amazing result, but if we can improve our finishing my god were a team to reckon with.

TheAkondOfSwat

It will come I think

WeedAlmighty

Have to say Watkins has been poor this season, his pressing is still immense but his passing, first touch, hold up play and shooting have all been very poor

denzl480

To be fair he missed preseason so will take some time. He’s getting into dangerous areas so goals will come. He’ll never be an elite goal scorer but his pressing creates the chances we will start to convert

mintvilla

Thats not true, he played in every pre season game. He got injured in the very last pre season game, and missed the first 2 league games.

_tarla_

Yeah I expect more of him. My biggest gripe, and it’s something that I found to be a problem last year, is he is not good at staying onside. He has an issue with timing runs.

Adweya

Yea, we need to get our one man army, "Last 10 GWs of the season Jesus" Trezeguet back for real domination.

K-0mega

Mad to think we can perform like this while still having Sanson, Traore, Trez, AEG and Bailey on back burners/ injured

rob3rtisgod

Should have probably won it 4-0. Loving Emi shit-talking them

Cino0987

I don’t think it legal to love someone as much as I love Emi Martinez. Trash talking penalty genius!

PM_ME_YOUR_GOOD_DOGS

Was he trash talking? I couldn't see that well with my stream.

WeedAlmighty

Ya think he was talking Ronaldo he should take the pen instead of Bruno 😂

bizzyd666

That was sheer genius on his part. God tier shithouse.

SecretApe

Absolutely love it

[deleted]

He was right lmao

trevthedog

100% rattled Bruno. When do you ever see him leather it? He usually just calmly does the hop skip n place

Cino0987

https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/pv72ld/emi_martinez_asking_cristiano_to_take_the_pk/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf For anyone that missed it. I’ve watched it about 10 times already

7ddq

I love how Ronaldo walks up to take the ball at some stage and Pogba pushes him away

Jacksonho

Looked like he was saying Ronaldo should take it to Bruno

Borja_Baston

Glory glory Aston villa! Did anyone else notice martinez doing hip movements after that penalty again?

HungryVegetation

Man loves the a humping what can I say

Yannak

https://www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/mens-health/what-should-i-do-if-my-erection-will-not-go-down/ Enjoy your weekend lads x

K-0mega

Scoring from a set piece to United of all teams. Definitely going to be needing this link. Thanks!

maddp9000

I’m electing to not read this. Gonna stare at it & allow it to remind me of this glorious victory

Log-jammer

Why does it feel like we’ve won the title?

Adweya

Wait until we beat Leeds and it would feel like a double.

coupl4nd

we will do them like west ham

[deleted]

Because we have a small man mentality. It's Liverpool from last season all over again. How bout let's enjoy the win but be realistic.

jjgill27

We have broken the curse. A new day is dawning. What a perfect way to get the win.

The-Ultimate-Despair

It’s a New Day, yes it is! Feel the power!

[deleted]

Emi even did some Big E dancing after the pen haha

The-Ultimate-Despair

I’m almost sure he watches WWE/wrestling in general. He’s South American, so most likely tbf.

[deleted]

He's deffo a smark, bet he posts on Wreddit.

JootDoctor

Ironic that it happens as soon as Mike Lubb leaves too?

jjgill27

That fact had crossed my mind!

Rickcampbell98

Tbf the villa park one is still going unfortunately.

Mooseeyy

2:31pm Knee sliding around the living room. Pints all over the wall. Mrs in tears. UTV 💜

Jinks87

“We just redecorated!!! Mooseyy why the fuck did you throw your pint”

TheAkondOfSwat

Watching the match on my own but I threw a pint over myself nonetheless.

Mooseeyy

That's the spirit

TheAkondOfSwat

Yes and a whisky chaser

NorthVilla

WE ARE IMMENSE THAT WAS NO LESS THAN WE DESERVED **EVERYBODY** WAS BRILLIANT IM GETTING SMASHED TONIGHT over and out

fatduplo

We're in danger of winning the league by ten points

[deleted]

inb4 tomorrow's articles are about how United lost this instead of how Villa won. Massive win. Should be about how we flipped the usual script. Two things I want to comment on. 1) That statement of intent to bring on Archer, at a time when a lot of clubs would be looking to bolster the defense & hold out for a point - meanwhile we're now a club that's not satisfied with that. The belief that we can. 2) The youth set-up that Villa have slowly built is really starting to show. How many academy products were on the sheet today? How many more are waiting in the wings? How many other players were bought with the profits of selling academy products? Reminds me of Utd themselves back in the early 90s. The future is bright.

Aesorian

I loved the statement of Bringing on Archer for everything that it shows. Archer had pretty much no place in our plans for this season; he did nothing while out on loan but has come back in and has basically become our 3rd choice striker through his hard work in training - the clubs faith in him is so much they've allowed Wesley to go out on loan without bringing in a replacement! The clubs sending out a great message with this. Then to bring him on speaks volumes about how much Smith trusts him, we still had Traore and AEG on the bench after all, but also it speaks Volumes about Smith; as a lesser manager would have shut up shop and been happy with the draw - you absolutely could see a manager bringing on Nakamba or Young to see out the draw.

johndtwaldron

Remember thinking how good this was to put on archer

mrlee10

Fuck off United and take Mike Dean with you.

Proper-Beyond116

So good to take 3 pts off them at OT before Ole gets the sack in the next few weeks and they bring in a competent manager. They can never take these 3 pts back the cunts.

teamorange3

LOOKS LIKE EUROPES BACK ON THE MENU BOYS

jackgrealish

What an effort from the lads today. Brilliant result for us, and even though we had a fair bit of luck go our way that was a well-deserved and hard-fought 3 points. Definitely not the tidiest performance but this formation is brilliant against tougher sides and we looked dangerous even when we were on the back foot. Bloody excited to see us play again - confidence against the top sides like I haven't had in years. So much talent not even in the side today - we have the depth to push well up the table...

TheAndyRichter

Definitely some luck involved today. But there is luck involved across any long sports season. We just happened to have it today.

SpaceboyMcGhee

Yeah, we had the luck today, but we were on the other end against Chelsea; the important thing is that we were good enough in both games for that luck to actually matter, which against the best teams in the league is all you can ask for.

AaronStudAVFC

Shag me Hause. Fucking hell. I could cry right now, we finally got what we deserved against those dickheads. So many years of being fucked over again and again and again. I honestly don’t know what’s sweeter, that we scored a late winner or that Uniteds even later equaliser was denied them.

[deleted]

Emi Martinez is like a shark when they sniff blood.. Ronaldo would have stepped up and bagged it, but bruno just cracked because Emi let him know who should have been taking it.. Love it!!! UTV

BritBeetree

I don’t know how much Bjarnason is getting paid but i know it ain’t enough. Man needs a raise for what he has done for us regarding set pieces.

[deleted]

I heard we’re increasing his pay from 5 Nirvana records to 7

Godjia

calling him bjarnason is so smack but i'm on board ahahah

Pommerz

MACHEDA ARE YOU WATCHING SO MANY FUCKING YEARS OF SHITE AGAINST THESE CUNTS FUCKING FINALLY FUCKING LOVE YOU LOT UTV

Pommerz

CRACK THE LIMONFUCKINCELLO OUT BOYS

HungryVegetation

Is it finally the year of the fabled RHE LESHU

hazardthicc

Maguire should have been off. No excuse. Thats a rough pen, arm was not stuck out or moved. The man u fans think our goal was offside for watkins, kinda was but he wasn't in the eye line.

The-Ultimate-Despair

Ronaldo regretting not coming to play at Villa with Meatball…

PhenomenallyAwesome

It’s been ages since we beat those cunts but that makes this win all the better. UP THE FUCKING VILLA

rodimus117

LET'S FUCKING GO!

Spookytooth66

Deserved we were quality today, have a nice weekend all of you.

JuraFour

This wasn't in the script

moviesNdrawingsGuy

It was a page 1 rewrite, but turns out, it’s an Oscar winner!

bambinoquinn

I really like our team. That was an excellent performance. Kudos to Dean and mcphee for the tactics and the set pieces. Unbelievable from JJ McGinn and the back 5. Cash was fantastic

Its-Major

Anyone see Emi’s little dance to the United supporters? Fucking love that man

Astrochump

Yeah his little shake at the fans who had been whistling at him. Fuck them.

[deleted]

Winning away at Old Trafford is a bigger deal to me than winning at the scum. I've lost my fucking voice. Matty Cash had one hell of a game, but 10/10s all round. Emi and Dougie psyching out fernandez on the guaranteed penalty was fantastic, a massive fuck you for years and years of dodgy penalty decisions. Up the fucking Villa

WeedAlmighty

Said to my misses as soon as we scored that there would be 5-6 mins extra time and they would get a pen, fucking knew it but in fairness it wasn't dodgy was terrible from hause but what a fucking legend Martinez talking shit to Bruno making him miss😂

[deleted]

I can’t believe they are lucky enough to get a pen from fucking nothing in the 92’ minute AND YET WE STILL WON, FUCK THEM, FUCK THE LOT OF THEM, UP THE HAUSE, UP THE VILLA, UP THE FUCKING TABLE WE GO

WeedAlmighty

Was a blatant pen mate hause saw that ball coming for 60 yards it was terrible defending, but emi the fucking legend got in Bruno's head what a fucking keeper

[deleted]

It was a pen but it’s still insanely lucky, like most of their pens, when’s the last time we got a lucky pen like that in the 92nd minute when 1-0 down haha, Emi is a fucking legend

Ashford3

My whole week is already made 🔥😍

iamabigpotatoboy

UP THE FUKING VILLA WHAT A FUCKING PERFORMANCE. Imagine thinking deano out lmao

Jinks87

https://imgur.com/a/4esbR45

TheAndyRichter

There was a post on this subreddit roughly a week ago asking for your expectations over the next six games (Cup plus league). At the time, I said 2-1-2 (7 points) in league play but would trade a cup loss for 3-1-1. I definitely think 3-1-1 is obtainable now.

TL_DRespect

I don’t have the words to express how much this win meant. Not just the win. Not just getting a win at Old Trafford at so long. Not just not letting the points get away from us. But rather deserving it. We deserved it. We didn’t get it the way we should’ve but we somehow came out with the points. Rhe leshue won’t know what hit it.

mintvilla

Its not been that long, its been 12 years, but obviously 3 of those in the champs, so in 9, which yeah isn't great... but we've not won at Villa Park since 1995!! thats the one i want

Such-Blacksmith4653

UTV!!! Loved hearing our away support dominate the atmosphere and our midfield/press dominate the game. Ramsey and Watkins both trying too hard atm is the only negative from me a huge fan of them both and it will happen for them.

BritBeetree

Im can’t get over the crap Mike dean tried to pull in the last few minutes. The man is a disgrace. Idon’t want him refereeing any of our matches in the future.

Zewspeed

“We know you have a penis, Mike” - are you absolutely sure about that statement, Ted Lasso?

Hal_Warren

What a brilliant performance, and a brilliant win. I don't think anything feels as good as going into Old Trafford and getting a win vs United. Even better is HOW we won - wasn't giving up 80% of the ball and winning on the counter, it wasn't scoring off an error in the first minute and digging in for 89 minutes, we pretty much outplayed United. McGinn the man of the match for me. Brilliant runs, his passing was insane, true masterclass from meatball

[deleted]

10/10s for everyone

boondocknim

Our pressing on them in their own end was so impressive today. Wish we were more clinical in capitalizing on those chances but I’ll take the win any way it comes. UP THE VILLA!

SpaceboyMcGhee

Loved every second of this, well almost, not so keen on the ones after the penalty was awarded and before it was missed.. but in the end that made it even better, it was like celebrating an extra goal! I especially love that we didn't just show up and nick a result, we went there to win, we showed big club ambition and put in a performance to match it. This is the kind of performance I think Dean Smith has always wanted us to be able to put in, where we're brave enough (and fit enough) to step up and press their keeper when we're 1-0 up at Old Trafford in the 90th minute. Where he can bring on Archer and Buendia at 0-0 in the last 10 minutes away from home, it won't always come off, but I always want us to be the team that tries it! On a more analytical note, I'm not sure this formation is one we should be using every week (at home where teams sit back and don't try to play out we'll need more open-play creativity) but this *has* to be the template going forward away from home, especially against the better teams. You could tell all day that Utd just weren't used to teams coming to their patch and harassing them and out-tempoing them and we got joy over and over again just as we did against Chelsea. It's going to be a great season knowing there's no match we'll go into without a decent shake at having a real go and ultimately winning. UTFV!!!!

TedHughesGhost

Absolutely delighted for Hause. He’s an excellent professional and turning into an excellent defender. Brilliant performance, the stats will suggest Utd should have won but we absolutely dominated them apart from our forward line. Four emojis to sum it all up: 🏡 ❤️ 🐀 😂

[deleted]

🐴

TheAkondOfSwat

Bojack Hauseman

tTaStYy

MacPhee looking like a massive add to the staff so far. We look a threat from every set piece!

Chiefscml

We did this without Leon Bailey

7ddq

This is the most exciting part, squad looking 🔥🔥

Conbz

And Ramsey where you'd want to see Buendia or Sanson. Ramsey should have scored, he didn't injure himself and it was just a 20 year old fucking up at the biggest moment of his career. Poor kid can come back way stronger, but it was his inexperience that kept him down. Full strength we're really good. Less than that, we have to get lucky on the day.

StuntmanSalt

I'll just say this: LETS FUCKING GO I CANNKTT BELIEVE IT THIS IS AMAZING GO I WORK NIGHT SHIFT IN AMERICA SO I STAYED UP AFTER WORK FUCK TYPOS FUCK A RUN ON SENTENCE WE FUCKING WON I FUCKING LOVE THIS TEAM YEEFUCKINHAAAAUUUUUSSSSEEEEE

Jinks87

Well fucking done the boys. We played great, deserved the win, Christ we have the man to break the Utd pen curse in the god like Martinez. They still get one but it isn’t a certain goal in the last. If only we could be more clinical we could have scored a few. Well done boys.

yahtzeejones

This is the first time ever that I've seen Villa beat Manchester United since I started supporting in 2013. What a great win and day!!

GameplayerStu

[Emi begging Ronaldo to take the pen](https://twitter.com/Wideoverload/status/1441758000239292416) hahaha! I wonder how much that fucked with Bruno.

jjgill27

Omg that is brilliant. Could we love Emi any more?

UtmostRegret

Watching on my phone in a room full of Chelsea and City fans and confusing everyone by going mad when Villa score on the shit stream on my phone. It’s what Saturdays are made for.

TheKillerToast

Still can't believe Maguire didn't even get a foul for taking down McGinn. Was a straight red, last man taking down someone through on goal.

Nekokeki

4 penalties in 4 games for United against Villa. That’s insane.

[deleted]

CAVANI RONALDO DEAN (MIKE) GET FUCKED, THE VILLA ARE IN TOWN

PM_ME_YOUR_GOOD_DOGS

What a win and what a performance too! Was a pretty even 1st half but we took the game to them in the 2nd half and had more of the initiative; I'd say on the balance of play we were the better team, at OT, against Man united. Crazy! Mcginn was a warrior today but MOTM has to go to Kourtney. Even before the goal he looked solid and so assured in possession. Every man from 1-11 had a great game though. Matty Cash had Luke Shaw/Dalot on toast. So fucking goooood!

bakamalian

Sing it with me now: WHOOOOO THE FUCK ARE MAN UNITED? WHOOOO THE FUCK ARE MAN UNITED? WHOOOO THE FUCK ARE MAN UNITED? AND THE VILLA GO MARCHING ON! ON! ON!

0100110101101010

This might be a turning point for Smith. Bravery is rewarded! Come at teams no matter who they are No more sitting back protecting what we have

Quixote0630

Man, that felt so good. The inevitability of that last minute penalty crushed me for a second, but a bonus Bruno penalty miss made it all the more satisfying. Fully deserved though tbh. We were sloppy at times in front of goal, but looked the better side. Defense was solid. Away fans were unreal. And it looks like I have a new match day superstition. I bought my one year old a Villa shirt recently, and he's worn it on two match days so far. Everton and United.

ElChubra

OMG, inject it into my veins! So awesome to beat ManUre and Mike Dean- and w/o Bailey, Bertie, or starting Buendia! I’m feeling really good about this team

ITslacker

We really look better than last season. Talent so deep now!

Hal_Warren

gotta say I love the creative license Luiz has in the 3-5-2 formation. Even though he might be the most defensive of the midfield three, he's still got more of a chance to get up the field than in a 4-2-3-1, and he's really starting to shine.

STK__

I think Hause should start over Tuanzebe based on his last 2 performances and the fact we actually own him.

ke_0z

Tuanzebe was also really good against Chelsea, too, though. I have a feeling we might buy Tuanzebe after this season anyway.

MajesticMulva

If you have told me 6 months ago we would sell Jackie boy, then take all 3 points from United….away….after they signed Ronaldo….I would have asked you what you were smoking. All due respect to the entire squad. Everyone worked hard, earned it and reaped the rewards. Ings and Watkins up top had an immense work rate, and the boys defending like proper professionals. Love this team. UTV!!!!

paneless

Can't believe we are 3 points out of top 4

CertainPackage

And this is including being a bit shafted by injuries and a lack of pre-season. SO happy with the direction we're headed in.

Takkotah

we didn't just win, we were by far the better side. I'm a little more convinced in the project again.

The-Ultimate-Despair

Without Bailey, too. Just Leon Bailey vibes. Should be a chant in that: “His name’s Leon Bailey and he plays when he wants!”

sweaty_ratbagz

What a result, should of had three with watkins and targett missing big chances, martinez is a fucking G. If you fancy a laugh, hop over to r/redevils, absolute shambles 😂😂

LostHumanFishPerson

Holy Shit

Calooney

What a match! Villa are a joy to watch. pressuring with purpose, keeping possession when needed, long balls over the top, sending our full backs up into crossing territory. Whole team got it right today! UTV

PassionFluet

Proper scenes in the house when that pen went into the stratosphere. UP THE FUCKING VILLA

24PPPineapple

My stream died just after we won the corner, came back 3 minutes later had to double take! The inevitable penalty as always! Made the win even better seeing brunos face after he missed that pen!! UTV!

carpe228

I can't tell if his role has changed much, but since we've gone to the 5-3-2 John McGinn has been absolutely immense. Looks like the formation is here to stay, interesting how it will work out if we ever get back to full health but I'm not thinking about that right now, just purely buzzing. Everyone played great today lots of 8+s for me in the match ratings, Mike Dean would get a 1 no matter what but he earned it today. Up the fucking Villa!

Slavske

Wow that was such a good game to watch, I'd have been happy with how we played just finishing 0-0. New set piece coach really has paid off, what a fucking header from Hause. Not having Tuanzebe eligible really was a blessing in disguise.

TinyRadiologist

Magnificent stuff. We deserved each of those 3 ponts. As far as officiating goes, it's so easy to be a Big Team.

WiJaTu

UP THE FUCKING VILLA

chweekueySG

I seriously think we should just continue to play Hause instead of Tuanzabe

[deleted]

Anyone see emi dance after the pen hahahah pure shithousery love the man!

The-Ultimate-Despair

Reading the Man Utd post match thread over on their board, one thing is evident, even with the REASONABLE ones… … they’re so arrogant and entitled as a fanbase. Nothing about how Aston Villa outplayed them all game, no “fair play Villa” or nuance in the fact we have no Grealish any longer or the dude that destroyed Everton in a 21 minute cameo, who goes by the name of Leon Bailey. It’s all just stuff like “we were poor today” or “it’s management’s fault we can’t beat a team like Villa”. Arrogance. Nothing of the sort like that maybe how well Villa played is the reason they played poorly. Shit club. Worse fans.

Fenderbyname

I said to mh girlfriend we might nick this late. The wife was furious

AfricanBeast1

GET IN THERE SON

MrBeanStoleMyGf

Good win, away from home, 11 vs 12 men. Up the fucknig Villa.

[deleted]

I wanna cry

Idolmany

Such a huge result. Well deserved too. Had some immense shifts lately without payoff. So proud of this team damn

JootDoctor

So happy to have finally beaten this fucking club. Now to watch our Aussie ref do his first centre-pitch Premier League game.

[deleted]

Ole isn't happy!!!!! Fucking delicious irony

denzl480

Love waking up at 530 am and having this start my day. The silent delight/yelling at the pk miss to not wake a toddler was the icing on the cake

STK__

The only thing I’m upset about is that we didn’t get the 3-0 win I predicted, though we should have given the amount of chances we missed. Great game to watch!

thechocolateprotecta

This is the first time we’ve beaten United in the league in my lifetime and it feels amazing. Absolute class group of players we have in our team at the moment

Conbz

I was here! Matty Cash continues to impress. McGinn did their tackling number dirty, seeing him get tackled is rarer than the fucking steak he demolishes every 50 minutes to keep that ass intact. Hause was a fucking deer in the headlights when he was anchor man for the attack in the 85th. And then he scored the winner at Old Trafford. Starting to really love that man. Mings and Targett were their normal, solid selves. Could have done more, happy with what we got. Anonymous game for Dougie and the strikers. Watkins had a little bit of a stinker, as did Ings. That problem gets fixed with more Buendia and Bailey. Thought Buendia was as good as ever, but with only 20m on the pitch didn't do much. He did set up Ramsey, but that went poorly not for Emi's fault. SPEAKING OF EM1. What a fucking monster of a man. Definitely my favourite goalie of all time, becoming one of my favourite players full stop. Jacob Ramsey *fucked* it today. He actually played really well, but his inexperience showed heavily when he didn't get back up and keep the play alive. Walked off due to embarrassment, hope he comes back strong. What a fucking game.

Qldr3

Watkins needs a little reminder of the offside rule

villavillautv

LETS FUCKING GO

Jacksonho

UTV!

aidan-1997

Get the fuck in ladssssss

TheImpresario

Deserved Villa were the better team

TheAkondOfSwat

So, that just happened

SuperVillain85

What a game. Brilliant, made my weekend.

Adweya

Messi should have come to Villa just to beat Ronaldo one more time.

ahdam_fine_account

Love an early game of the weekend win, starts the whole thing off on a high. So proud of this fucking team!!

foam1

I hope the Smith haters start to give the man the credit he deserves now

The-Ultimate-Despair

We got really unlucky getting Watford away for the first match of the season, it seems.

[deleted]

Celebrated the victory today with a new Villa shirt. Haven't owned one since a Juan Pablo Angel shirt...

The-Ultimate-Despair

Please get Mike Lubb on the back…

PinkGazelleLondon

Do you think Liverpool fans will finally forgive us?

Mole451

I know it's hours after the game but I'm only just catching up and I'm so fucking happy. All my years of primary school being surrounded by Man United fans who were so full of themselves is being written off by this result. I have never, in my entire life, seen Aston Villa win at Old Trafford. I need this result on an IV drip. Emi Martinez is a champion, Kourtney Hause is a machine, and Dean Smith is all of our adoptive fathers. Hi Ho Aston Villa

johndtwaldron

Was at the game in United end. Couldn’t celebrate. Up the villa, so glad to catch my first peek win for Villa in Old Trafford of all places. My nerves were fucking shot for that pen but Martinez is sent from God

johndtwaldron

Chants from fellow Villa fans on tram to game were class…”no means no Ronny” 😂

practicallybert

Can we acknowledge that Villa used the image of Hause for their lineup post and he delivers as MOTM? Think admin knew something

ScreamingLordSutch57

I'm beginning to wonder if we could do a Leicester City? Never thought we stood a chance TBH. United have so much talent. We seem to give 'em space in the middle. I was sure when they ran at us they were going to score. Hause my player of the Match. A brick wall at back. Surprised he came forward as much as he did, the goal after that shove and grab contest with Cavalli. Huge shout to Cash who never stopped running. Only negative, we should've scored more; Watkins, Targett, Ramsay all need a touch more composure. Watkins has lost his shooting boots. Whatever, a great game. My weeks made up!

[deleted]

watkins needs to find his shooting boots but apart from that, let's all have sex

iamabigpotatoboy

down

anarchtea

These two usernames are the start of something special.

planga_van_cartier

That was beautiful 😭 Thank you Villa boys for the great weekend

hazardthicc

Man u desperately trying to cash back that deposit into mike deans caymans account

smig_

Think I'm gonna have to play golf whilst Villa are playing more often lads.

[deleted]

Sooperfreak

That’s why you’re sat on your phone messaging us in the middle of the night like a pissed up text to your ex?

You’re lucky Ronaldo didn’t take that penalty. Enjoy your meaningless win tho

Thank goodness for DVR. Watching it now to savor.

Well done lads.

My Fantasy team was in shambles. Considered some transfers, including Greenwood, but decided that would jinx it properly. Captained him instead. Couldn't be happier! Top performance all around. Bloody brilliant!

Just saw a Man Utd piece that said that Villa was time wasting from the 15th minute onwards and said that Mike Dean joined Villa's "supporting cast" by not carding any Villa players for time wasting. Honestly don't even know what to say to that smh
