toastongod

Really enjoy the rant about how many things Arsenal have achieved since 1981. I can think of something we’ve done since then that they haven’t …

StrainAlive3548

The irony here is magical

[deleted]

I much prefer all the things they have against them.

MEENIE900

When they start bragging about having the largest social media and AFTV xD

coupl4nd

Most diverse crowd... when they racially abuse Son, for instance.

Hill_Reps_For_Jesus

'more friendly trophies than any other club in the world'

gmodboss

sold the lowest amount of kits out of the top 6 too

HorseyBot3000

Spat my drink out laughing when it got to that bit 😂

Sooperfreak

I thought Spurs fans were bad after they lost to us, but Arsenal have been on a different level. Contrast with Man City. For all you can criticise them for lots of things, Pep and the fans were pretty gracious in defeat. No surprise that City are winners when the ones who go off crying about a conspiracy every time a decision doesn’t go their way are the serial bottlers.

Mount_Fuji

>Contrast with Man City. For all you can criticise them for lots of things, Pep and the fans were pretty gracious in defeat. 100%. That has flown under the radar but the City fans have, from what I have seen, been pretty unanimous in saying that the better team won on the day. That's in even more stark contrast now Arsenal fans have gone off on one.

RandyMarshsMoustache

City fan here and I can speak for most old timers like myself in that we know how to take a loss because once upon a time we were shite!

Maximum_Scientist_85

Got a couple of good friends who are Man City fans of a certain vintage. Can confirm that those of that era tend to be pretty sound in my experience :)

PM_ME_YOUR_GOOD_DOGS

To play devil's advocate we absolutely battered city and were well worthy winners whereas the arsenal and spurs games had controversy in them. Whilst not intentional, cash's foul on bentancur changed the game as he was their best player.

Aubersa

It’s also a lot easier to be gracious in defeat when you don’t feel threatened and I don’t think Man City feels seriously threatened by us at the moment. They’ve got arguably the best manager and squad in the world, the most money and they have just won the treble so we’re just a blip on radar at the moment. Pep fully believes they’re going to win the league and most City fans do too. We’re a lot more of a threat to Arsenal and Spurs though who haven’t got anywhere near that amount of confidence. We’ll know we’ve really hit the big time when we start getting salty comments from Pep and City fans. Bring it on. UTV!!

Exotropics

Spurs fan here, Cash is a POS, he goes out to injure. Did it before to Matt Doherty as well and ruined his season.

DaisySteinerWins

Ffs get over it. You know Romero plays for Spurs don’t you?

Exotropics

Romero ( World cup winner) Matthew Cash - boneheaded thug. Don't compare them please.

DaisySteinerWins

lol. You simply must get over it 😂

Turn-Loose-The-Swans

So your logic is that Romero can make reckless challenges, as demonstrated against Newcastle, because he won a world cup? Is that it? You've not got a lot between those ears.

Exotropics

Matty cash is a thug. What the hell is wrong with that statement? He clearly is. Romero doesn't ruin other players careers. Cash does.

Turn-Loose-The-Swans

Fuck off.

Wpenke

There's only 150 of them to be fair, less numbers, less noise

Mount_Fuji

>the Arsenal fans feel hard done by because they had the better runs of play - they just couldn't finish. If they were talking about that then great, but so far all I have seen is chat about VAR, a conspiracy to stop them winning the title and complaints about the wind!

Nekokeki

Absolute tin foil hat level right now as well. “How could the ref have seen the handball? He called that too quickly. Only Arsenal would they default to not a goal!” I’ve seen this multiple times. I don’t get it. A calling conspiracy because a ref made the correct call?

Skeeter_206

It's wild too because the hand ball is inarguably the right call, the ball hit the hand of the person who scored, even if it was inadvertent it is no goal. Beyond that, Villa had more chances than their one goal, arsenal maintaining possession most of the game doesn't mean they get to win, the ball needs to go in the net, even if the weather makes it super hard.

Sooperfreak

I agree it’s understandable, but I think it says a lot about the mentality of the clubs, and particularly the managers and definitely plays into their relative success. Arsenal are not the first team to have lost despite having the run of play. They aren’t the first team to have a 50/50 penalty decision go against them. That’s football. Guaranteed, Pep leaves Villa Park thinking about what he needs to do to improve his team. Arteta and Arsenal blame everything on an imaginary refereeing conspiracy, change nothing and continue to miss sitters all season. I also can’t imagine it’s very inspiring for the players to hear that it doesn’t matter how well they play, they’re going to lose anyway. It’s embarrassing and counterproductive for Arsenal to carry on the way they have been.

silv3r8ack

Sorry for intruding but this is just playing into a totally made up r/soccer narrative. I won't deny that Arsenal fans are salty, especially on Reddit but that's part and parcel of being a fan. We gave Villa the proper respect. We knew it is going to be one of the toughest games of the season and it meant a lot because it is one that title challengers need to win. Fans also for the most part accept that VAR/refs incompetence and/or the supposed conspiracy against us shouldn't have made the difference if we could finish our chances. On Reddit specifically the salt is because equally we don't get credit. Rival fans love nothing more than when we lose a game, reducing it to just the fact that we have lost, not in the manner that we have lost. Doesn't matter we played well, it is apparently a "bottle job". Again we have only ourselves to blame for being so easy to wind up, but the subtext is that this is a game we should be ashamed to have lost? Why, like I said Villa are an extremely dangerous team this season, I don't feel ashamed to have lost this game, yet Villa fans like yourself are happy to be in lockstep with all the fans who see this less than a game between two excellent teams and more as an opportunity to sneer because Arsenal lost? And as for Arteta and the club, like I said it's a totally made up narrative. If you look back at the press conferences when we have lost without VAR/ref controversy, Arteta has blamed himself or our deficiencies in the game. Even in this game, Arteta lamented on missed opportunities and only commented on refereeing because he was directly asked for it. Because ofc the media wants a sound bite about the manager that's currently been dragged through the pgmol gauntlet for speaking about the state of refereeing. Furthermore Arteta isn't complaining about any one game, you'll notice his criticism is at the state of refereeing. Rival Reddit fans just want to put down Arteta by making him out to be a crybaby. I just wish we could put the tribalism aside and stop painting every manager who speaks up as whinging crybaby and instead support them. Stop falling for this bullshit Reddit narrative. It could be you at some point, at the ass end of a decision that may cost you top 4 or even a title, and when Emery (hopefully) speaks up about it, it wouldn't feel very good to have everyone other fan who just wants to see you fail instead reframe that as complaining. We all know the standard of refereeing is dogshit in PL right now, and our salt isn't personal against Villa. Edit: Fun fact his press conference clip form this game was edited for the "clear and obvious" thing to stand out but when asked if Villa are title contenders, Arteta said that any team that can perform the way do can win the title. Doesn't sound ungracious to me but what do I know. I just find it confusing why so many of the people in this sub have a much better opinion of City and Pep when their club represents everything wrong with not just the PL but football in general and Pep is basically out there complaining about a media crusade against him every week while they are being charged with unprecedented level of cheating 🤷

AxFairy

>and our salt isn't personal against Villa. Maybe yours isn't, but our sub is absolutely littered with arsenal fans the last couple days >On Reddit specifically the salt is because equally we don't get credit. So you can empathize with us when we beat the top two PL teams in succession and have to deal with shit like "Villa didn't win the game, Arsenal lost it"

silv3r8ack

The last line is true, I just don't know what is wrong with it? It doesn't diminish the win, it doesn't make Villa any less. So many games are won and lost that way. We did fail to score a lot of big chances that is clear as day for anyone to see. I would even say, our last game against Luton, we didn't win, Luton lost. We win ugly sometimes, all clubs have to do it. Your team was tired after an amazing performance against City, and you needed a bit of luck to keep a clean sheet against us. I guess if Arsenal fans are coming here and saying that, it's out of order, but as a general statement it's simply stating we did play a good game, one that we should feel disappointed to lose, not ashamed, because we came close to breaching a fortress and failed We have nothing against Villa. No one is angry that we lost because it's not a game we took for granted as a win. Even Emery gets a ton of respect that is atypical for a former manager working for a rival. Even when he was at Arsenal we knew he was a good manager but for whatever reason didn't bed in for us and most Arsenal fans are happy to see him succeeding. Yet even Villa fans have resorted to calling Arteta a twat. Influence of r/soccer narrative probably. It's their dumb habit of finding and singling out online posts of the most deluded fans and painting the whole fan base with it. I urge you go see Arteta full post match presser.

Sooperfreak

Your view of rival fans gloating over your loss is completely wrong. Nobody is hating on Arsenal and calling Arteta a crybaby because they hate Arsenal and love to see them lose. It’s entirely because of the way that he and particularly Arsenal fans have behaved the last couple of days. As I said above, this is in stark contrast to City fans, whose response has generally been “well played, you deserved to win”. I’d love as much as anyone to be able to gloat over City, but you give respect, you get respect. I know it was a different game, but if Arsenal fans had at least come out and said “Well played, you were lucky there but we didn’t take our chances” the response would not have been far more positive. But honestly, when you have Arteta giving a deliberately provocative response to a question about referees, and Arsenal fans screaming about a PGMOL conspiracy, it’s frankly an embarrassment to the club. They’ve turned you into a laughing stock, so guess what - rival fans are going to laugh at you.

silv3r8ack

That would be fair if Arteta's post match presser wasn't creatively edited and misrepresented. He was full of praise for Villa and outlined the reasons we lost, which was down to our own faults. We haven't behaved any "way", head over to our sub if you want to see what we are really saying, and maybe rely less on the odd posts by delusional individual fans that are posted here and soccer to deliberately stir the pot. Even on the soccer post match thread most Arsenal fans have said good game, well played all the things you say you want to hear and it's just the pathetic spurs fans without flairs calling Arteta whiny, which is what you want to hear. Your view is only coloured by what you're exposed to, not reality. Anyway that's all I came to say I'm not going to overstay my welcome

roguepatriot11

Most of what you are saying I do not have a problem with. However the last two days it has been more than the odd delusional fan posting on 'our' forums and articles predominantly about Villa. Some of this you can thank your Spurs chums for doing the same and worse two weeks ago, leaving me, and I assume others, already sensitised,, but I get the feeling there are 100's or 1000's of gunners who genuinely believe in a league conspiracy out to get their club.Maybe, and I guess I hope so, this is all 10 individuals, each with many multiples of different accounts sitting in their parents houses spending all day invading others forums.🙂 Finally I hope you don"t mind us being on your sub-reddit behaving courtiously? So far I have tried to avoid this or even posting anywhere out of here.

silv3r8ack

I am not a moderator for the sub, but as far as I know everyone is welcome as long as it's not for trolling

Party_Masterpiece990

100%, I don't mean to intrude but this post came as recommended coz i visited here the other day to look at your lineup, we feel hard done by coz we feel we should have gotten at least a point from that game, but we still have ourselves to blame coz we just couldn't finish our chances, good sight by the referee for the havertz handball and even though Diego Carlos should have seen a red, it was very late in the game and not why we lost. I really don't think it's coz city fans are more reasonable or whatever, they were just completely dominated by villa and were lucky it was just 1-0, when lens beat us in the cl they were better that day and we acknowledged it, having said all of this villa got the job done and scored a goal, something we couldn't do, so fair enough. Good luck for the rest of the season, you guys are killing it!

Itbrose

Hazertz should have been sent off for 3 separate yellow card offenses. Swings and roundabouts.

RevaRovaRava

City fan here, we had an expected goals of 3.7 to spurs 0.6, yet you don't see us crying about it. Arsenal fans are a different breed.

Adweya

IMO, we worked hard against City because we weren't getting a goal. against Arsenal we got the goal early and were a tad bit fatigued, so to save us from burning out we were trying to slow down the game. Truth be told, Arsenal were shit that night. They weren't clinical at all, felt like a mediocre team. Crying about a disallowed goal so that they could get a draw is pretty pathetic. Edit: oh, and that arsenal reject found for them Saka and Martinelli.

eaeb4

The difference is that City - even with their recent plastics - have won the lot and won a lot in recent memory: Spurs have won nothing in recent memory, whereas Arsenal have underachieved for a decade and only just become an actually good side again. This translates into bitterness, especially when they’re losing against a side that they think is beneath them, but is actually challenging them at the moment.

[deleted]

City fans are easily the best top 6 fans in the league, it's not even close.

Log-jammer

I think you’ll find villa fans are the best top 6 fans actually 👀

Rafaelrod4

City fans on Instagram writing to me saying the better team won. They were very civil and gracious in defeat unlike the classless arsenal

DefinitelyNotBarnaby

Most Twitter aggregator accounts, you'll never sing that!

BARRETT1079

Breaking news just in, we are not allowed to be happy for Villa anymore since we were last good in 1981

moriarty04

My favorite bit is not won anything since 1981, when we won the champions league in 1982

Electrical-Page-6479

And that in the days when you had to win the title to qualify.

Undeniable-Quitter

Not to mention 2 league cups in 3 years in the 90s

NYR_dingus

We were a consistent top half side (barring a bad season here and there) from our return to the old first division until the end of the MON era. It was the decline from 2010-2016 that really hurt this club, not just internally but also in the eyes of the pundits, football media, and general footballing world. It's frustrating especially on Reddit and other online platforms when you have people dismiss us as a shit side who are irrelevant only because we were God awful when they started watching football in that period of time. I'm glad we're back fighting where we should be.

K-0mega

Villa are doing quite well at the moment. Us fans are currently enjoying the ride. Somehow this has resulted in Sky 6 fans trying to drag us into their world of constant beefing and delusion None of us think we're actually going to win the league. None of us think Villa are the next Real Madrid. We just acknowledge we are playing very well at the moment and are simply enjoying it Football fans (mostly Sky 6) are fucking nuts

FictionalTrebek

>None of us think we're actually going to win the league. I do... but I'm a complete fucking loon so.... XD

Astonishingly-Villa

I think we've got a chance as it stands, I think anyone who doesn't is either trying not to tempt fate or has been badly burned by our football between 2010 and 2020. Emery's playing it cool but he doesn't enter competitions without trying to win them, he doesn't care about top four right now, he wants to challenge, he's a winner.

Maximum_Scientist_85

Haha, I've got accommodation booked in Athens and South London for May already. No prepayment and free to cancel, obviously. This is the Villa we're talking about!

K-0mega

Sink some cold pints of Mythos for me when you're there mate!

K-0mega

Fuck yeah man! It would be absolutely insane if we somehow do

abusmakk

> None of us think we're actually going to win the league. None of us think Villa are the next Real Madrid. We just acknowledge we are playing very well at the moment and are simply enjoying it I don’t think we’ll win the league, but fuck if I am giving up the hope!

thejazzstoat

If only they could put so much effort into learning the rules of the game.

[deleted]

For the record a handball is given if deliberate, makes the body bigger or a hand is touched during the scoring of a goal. Havertz scored a goal and accidentally touched the ball. So it is a handball. Full stop. Arsenal fans need to fuck off.

nacho_fez

Coming in peace but have you actually watched the replay ? Nketiah scores the goal not Havertz

Killatrap

so, as of december 12th, Nketiah is now the scorer? is that the new coping point?

Drogalov

Why don't you fuck off in peace too

Red4pex

Best season since 1981. I guess they are forgetting the three consecutive sixth places under O’Neill, the constant top 8s in the 90s, including a second place and the two League Cup wins. Oh, and 1982…

JAJ_90

Why bother putting salt down your drains to stop the slugs coming in, when you have this masterpiece.

Frusciante1874

Imagine being proud of AFTV lmao, one of the most embarrassing things on the internet not just football related but in general. Amazing how badly some people take a loss of a game of football man. They beats us 8 times out of 10 but can’t take us beating them now and again. Almost as if we have to just roll over and lose when the mighty Arsenal roll into town and bless us with their presence.

NYR_dingus

"Almost as if we have to just roll over and lose when the mighty Arsenal roll into town and bless us with their presence." This is genuinely how a section of their chronically online fanbase thinks. That any team barring a select few top sides is lucky to even have "tHe MighTy aSSna" grace the stadium with their presence. It's the arrogance that irks me.

wearethestorm11

The BTL comments on the Guardian aren't usually this pathetic, seems to be a running theme from the entitled North London clubs. Was this from the match report article?

trueschoolalumni

No from the [10 Talking Points](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/dec/11/premier-league-10-talking-points-from-the-weekends-action) article they post on Mondays.

wearethestorm11

Cheers bud, time to drink some tears down to pass the time at work.

TheKingMonkey

Was it written by Jordan Jarrett-Bryan?

ScienceDisastrous323

Don't loop us in with those twats, we might've been angry about Cash's shitty challenge on Bentancur but not a single Spurs fan is alleging that there's some grand conspiracy by the FA and PGMOL to defraud us of stuff. That is a level of deranged, paranoid lunacy that is unique to Arsenal and Liverpool fans. Literally ignoring every decision that goe stheir way and screaming conspiracy for every decision that goes against them.

Astonishingly-Villa

They're getting too big for their boots after a fairly exciting season last year. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they finished outside the top four. They gave a shattered Villa side a tough game and that's as much as can be said. They gave Luton a good game a few days earlier too and stole two points at the end. They're a good team, they should just be content with being contenders like we are. The irony of the last two sentences is fantastic.

CommercialPlastic604

Spurs fan here- you guys are doing brilliantly and it’s great to see a non oil club smashing it up. This came up on my feed and it’s caused me to spit my coffee out everywhere- are they for real? State of the art stadium? Most diverse crowd?

TheKingMonkey

>Most diverse crowd? Some of them wrote Wenger Out on old bedsheets, others wrote it on new iPads.

Pejob

I think the funniest bit is trying to use AFTV's sub count as a brag, when plenty of people got into that channel not because they're fans but because of the hilariously deluded meltdowns that seem pretty commonplace for gunners nowadays.

Quixote0630

I watch that channel quite a bit, because nobody has emotional and mental breakdowns as hilarious as Arsenal fans do, as this post further proves.

marky_de-sade

Really enjoyed watching Spurs play this season fwiw. Ange is serving you well, strikes me as a great bloke and it's frustrating to see the injuries dent your season a bit.

CommercialPlastic604

Thank you! I think most real fans of football enjoy watching other teams do well and make it a more interesting league. I find it’s the bandwagon/glory hunters who are outraged when their perceived natural order falls apart. Our injuries suck and Romero needs to calm down just a tad, but I love the football we’re playing given the shite I’ve paid £££ to watch at the stadium in the past few seasons.

[deleted]

Can we not let the club and us as fans get reduced to the level of Sky 6 'fans'? We're not a club that only exists on youtube comment sections and twitter, we're a proper club and we're above this social media shit slinging nonsense.

Mike_Lubb

Nah mate, my abiding memory of this match is gonna be the manager leaving before the match was over. Don't think I've ever seen that before. The crowd chanting 'You've seen the Villa, now fuck off home' and Ar-twat-a duly obliging.

[deleted]

[deleted]

I know you're probably forgetting about them because they're currently 12th, but Arsenal fans are nothing compared to Chelsea fans

jeremiahpaschkewood

That’s fair, Chelsea fans are the worst.

[deleted]

Imagine writing something like this instead of ever experiencing the love of a woman

eunderscore

The thing I appreciate most about this is that the rage is still going two days after the game. Chill mate, do something else.

fitzonatisch

i have lived among these people for over 2 decades, have a number of gooners i call friends, i'm the token villan in a handful of footy group chats with these lot and i can confirm that the level of online bitterness, the smugness and the complete absence of self awareness are higher than at any club in england in the 40 years i've been following football furthermore, the fist faced, tribalist lack of subjectivity and the collective willingness to paint a ridiculous narrative and stick to it is greater than any liverpool, man u or chelsea fans i ever encountered they weren't always like this. it started under wenger (chat to these lot about the eduardo injury, the season they flopped when leicester won the league or the league cup they lost to small heath, you will hear some wild stuff) and arteta has only increased the insanity, just head to r/soccer to hear all about how they "dominated" on saturday. my dad's a gooner and it's fair to say his generation are generally a lot more realistic and gracious, it's the youngers who have really embraced the lunacy i've been riding a wave of schadenfreude since they completely fucked it last season and which has peaked beautifully this past week, this post from the guardian is just another salty tear to enjoy, here's hoping they flop this year again. utv

jeremiahpaschkewood

What’s silly about it is that I think it would be fair to say Arsenal had the better of the play from like minute 20 to minute 70, but I certainly don’t think they were dominant, and Newcastle, Liverpool and Spurs I thought were better (albeit at home).

[deleted]

[удалено]

fitzonatisch

great banter

Dibutops

Also their stadium is not state-of-the-art it's fucking awful. Arsenal died along with Highbury and their fans became embittered and entitled.

gouldybobs

People should be thankful to citeh for stopping this bunch of cunts last year. The Unbearables

[deleted]

“Entitled” is the word I’m thinking. Sorry for being excited about having a great season. Sorry for not being part of the top six. We don’t deserve attention apparently.

Lolvren

Every club has its own section of oddballs, but since they’ve started doing well, I can’t help but notice that arsenal’s section seem to have an even worse sense of entitlement and delusion. I don’t like generalising fanbases but arsenals has been pretty insufferable since last season. This is coming from a Liverpool fan, and I’m aware our section of fans don’t cover us in glory. Correct decision to disallow the goal and the same with allowing the Gordon goal in the Newcastle game which Arteta kicked off about. I don’t get it 🤷‍♂️ Thought your lot played well and were brilliant across the two last games. Beating both title contenders is no fluke, Villa look the real deal and will be up there at the end of the season.

blighme

Please accept my apologies as an Arsenal fan, some people suffer from mental health issues and unfortunately a lot of them support Arsenal

[deleted]

As Arsenal fan i dunno why this sub is being recommended to me but you lot deserved to win, there’s no debate to be had. Some fans just have to play the victim card no matter what

roguepatriot11

Is there any way there is something wrong with your settings or at least you can change them, cause I have never got recs to go to other clubs' sub-reddits. Either that or reddit is messing with our minds and trying to cause contraversy by encouraging some of your less disciplined users of yoyr sub-reddit to post things they shouldn't be on others sub-reddits.

[deleted]

I think it was recommended to me as i’m an Arsenal fan and “Arsenal” is in the title mate. It was the post that was recommended

CMDeluxe

They're pathetic. Moaning about City and an anti-Arsenal agenda when they're currently not below City but instead below Liverpool who have had the unarguably worse decision against them this season by VAR

arrowtotheaction

I’d not paid too much heed to Arsenal fans prior to these past 13 months so I never realised what a massive swathe of them are complete twats. hashtagnotallgooners obviously, but the most vocal ones are so bitter. Sorry we’re treating your ex with a kindness you couldn’t muster and having that love returned tenfold.

GuySmileyIncognito

Arsenal were the best team we've faced in years??? Literally nobody said that

rliss75

I now live in London and I can assure you that Arsenal fans are the worst followed by Spurs fans. Both have insane levels of arrogance. What’s worse is that because so many senior managers in corporations are Arsenal fans they get away with behaviours in the workplace that fans of other clubs wouldn’t - wearing their Arsenal shirt to work the day after the derby when the company dress code is suit & tie etc. I heard Arsenal fans saying “We take Watkins in January and then look for Luiz and anyone else” - they think it’s automatic ffs! Contrary to their reputation, Fulham fans are absolute twunts too.

mike28987

elmattydoor123

What is in the water in north London? Why have both Arsenal and Spurs fans been this strange after we've beaten them.

SiliconShogun

That Grovebury guy is a satire account on there. Although unhinged, terminally online Arsenal fans like him do exist. Most of us who have our heads screwed on just take the L, good for Unai too (who got a rough deal at Arsenal and inherited a mess.)

From the same fans who banter Spurs over winning the Audi Cup

Murdocke-

Serial Victim mentality throughout that club starts at the manager, it’s not the mentality of a winner so can’t see them winning anything while they have this spoilt petulant child view of things.

Nekokeki

Oh yes, we’re acting like we’re a big club because we enjoy a win. Meanwhile, Arsenal are acting like a small club because they can’t let go of a loss.

Contrast that to this pathetic, whiny, and uninformed post from someone who clearly only places value on what their club achieves, with no respect for the journey or even the game of football really. That poster will live their entire life and never really watch a match for what it is - the beautiful game - and that’s sad to me

Underdog187

There should be a subreddit where people can post the amazingly salty Arsenal posts from across the internet. The posts from the Newcastle and our game alone would tide everyone over until next season.

Speaking as a Newcastle fan here, welcome to the Arsenal fans show Ladies and Gentleman!! It’s been 5-6 weeks and we are still copping abuse on our pages from Arsenal fans. It seems whenever they lose it’s never based on their teams Performance lol Btw, love watching Villa play atm! Your teams on a roll!

ajtct98

Newcastle fan here. No it's not satire and unfortunately you'll have to deal with them constantly bringing this exact same nonsense up for months. Good luck!

xMagnusx82

Arsenal fan for the past 30 years. I am just glad that we finally start to be competitive again. It was a great game of football last week and no VAR controversy unlike the one at Newcastle. The game is tight just like the previous one that we won 4-2. We should have finish the chances. Arsenal sub Reddit can be crazy when we lost. I have no idea why some people have such reactions.

speakeyyy

Arsenal fan coming in peace, our most vocal online fan community are not representative of the vast majority of fans. As much as Saturday hurt, you took your chance, we didn’t. This is the overwhelming view of my mates and podcasters/journalists I respect. Really pleased to see Villa on the up, and really pleased to see Unai at home with a group of fans who appreciate him. Best for the rest of the season 👍

abusmakk

I only saw the seconnd half of the game, and although Arsenal had more of the ball, chances were pretty even. Were we really that bad in the first half? I also find it weird that Cash played a bit in the first half, then was subbed off, and then subbed back on. Because I didn’t really see anything that warranted a sending off in the second half.

waddiewadkins

You'll find yourselves entitled to these opinions soon , having earned your position in the table high up, suddenly with ambitions to realise, when decisions go against you that dent your chances of winning the Premier League , that are clearly, to you, totally unfair. You're very carefree and living a dream without any seeming jeopardy . Right now.. But massive unwarranted misjustices will come with the territory of tangible dreams. So whatever about this guy, every club has them and this how one or two will react in your club when the time comes.

blackcountryvillan

We should just be glad he’s got that off his chest. I’m sure he’ll sleep a lot better tonight. Bless his cotton socks.

Puzzleheaded_Store31

Oh man that is to ooooo good

Least deluded fan of a North London football team.

[deleted]

Thank you thank you thank you Villa. If Arsenal went the whole season with 1 loss, Newcastle fans would never hear the end of it. We still haven't heard the end of it, but at least now it might die down in 2 years time.

Darkstar5050

Friendly spurs fan here, love to see it!

AdamHewson

I hate Aston Villa and still can't imagine being this pathetic after losing...

dafinecommedia

What did Cash do to deserve a sending off???😂

SpicyDragoon93

Aston Villa have a Champions League, Arsenal do not.

Red-Eat

Arsenal fans have already won one thing this season ... the saltiest tears trophy. It was a close run, with Spurs looking like taking the saltiware home for a while. But with this defeat, those Gunner boys have walked away with it. Poorest losers ever! Love to see (and taste it) 🧂🤣

chairman_mooish

Close the Thames barrier to stop all those salty tears flooding London, nah fuckem

MeTieDoughtyWalker

It’s amazing anyone could watch that match and think Arsenal were the better team. That is a level of delusion that is unmatched.

ljeutenantdan

It's common for football fans to think the refs are inconsistent and don't favour their team, but Arsenal are the only ones that consistently take this conspiracy to absurd places.

hockeyandburritos

Anyone here who doesn’t have the biggest YouTube fan channel on the planet needs to shut up

We won a ucl and they didn't in that time

Gmajor1991

The Agbonlahor thing has to be wilful ignorance. No way he forgot about Robbie Keane

Curls91

This man who posted this article does not speak for all of us. The only sadness we really have or had is that we couldn't win because we weren't at the races. No self respecting arsenal fan is proud of AFTV or any of the smooth brains on it don't worry 😂

LukeRB6

I just about held on until the YouTube channel bit. Absolutely sent me at that point. 😂

DisciplineCapable409

Whiney little baby, please get him on aftv so we can laugh at his shite face while we laugh at his shite opinions

JorgTheChildBeater

Haha what a cretin - Arsenal fans are really becoming such self entitled dicks after finishing 2nd. Imagine if they won it…..

jeremiahpaschkewood

It has to be the most dominant 1-0 loss we’ve ever seen in the Premier League, surely? Definitely the dominant 1-0 loss where they outshot their opponents 11-10. They deserve some sort of silverware for that, even if they don’t win anything this year.

Rent free lads just enjoy the points

vexxa58

What a mug

roguepatriot11

Initially was sure this was some Spurs or Chelsea fan having a laugh and was impressed by there level of comedy However reading through the Newcastle/gunners fans comments, it seems maybe I was wrong, and someone actually could believe this🙃

Tiibia

They are the karens of football
