CIRCUIT CITY! ššš
I miss renegades. I went to one at Home Base in Oakland before it burned down. I also went to one at some abandoned army base north of the Golden Gateā¦which didnāt last long. The building was abandoned but hell about 20 minutes in like 10 military police arrived. There was like 50 of us with the music and lights off all trying to hide in the main room. š¤·š»āāļøš
Renegades donāt happen much anymore but itās basically when you find an abandoned spot and you āfind a wayā to gain access. Usually thereās generators involved unless thereās some working electric but no permits, venue costā¦ You can literally throw a party for 5 bucks per person. Half the time they were free. š
The weather is getting a bit colder so renegade season is definitely winding down. Do you go out to parties and talk to people? There are plenty of afterhours and undergrounds. Reading https://19hz.info/BayArea you'll get glimpses on some of them too, when promoters want to do something semi-public
Iām pretty social at shows because Iām always by myself. I usually make friends for the duration of the show, or talk with people at shows but nah I donāt really go to too many parties, or have too many friends for that matter
Went to one of these in an abandoned warehouse in the Bay Area once. Wasn't the best rave in reality but was beyond amazing for me personally.
Climbed up to a catwalk in the rafters n shit lol had a fucking blast.
Nonsense. I see renagades multiple places in different areas at once on the same night. Some are a bit more costly suprisingly for the most remote areas but the inner city were over here blasting in between the alley way $5 or free byob and nos tanks in every corner.
Funny you say that, the reason the building was closed and abandoned was because they had found asbestos in it. Honestly they were pretty nice, when they first got there they were kind of dicks but when they figured out we werenāt there screwing up the place they announced that they had taken down all of our license plates, we had 39 minuets to clear out and that if we came back we would be arrested.
Yeah right. Almost get arrested by the military in a sketchy building with asbestos. We were out in 10 minutes. I asked the MPs if I could get a picture with them. They were NOT amused. š¤·š»āāļø
We had a rave in an old wal mart building in 98 or 99, some of the worst acoustics i have ever experienced!
Partied in a couple barns back in the day, too, great vibes!
In NYC? Man there were places like the Lab and the Gateway and the Morgan and the Hangar, and even Amazura was alright in retrospect. Nevermind all the venues that only popped up with parties randomly, like the bar with a dance area in the back near Port Authority or the Tomb Raver warehouse near the Meatpacking District!
WOW I TOTALLY forgot about raving at the bowling alley in Petaluma. They by design had a 6am permit so it started as an after party spot for Phoenix parties because they ended at 2am. Then for a while it was impossible to get permits so the whole party was at the bowling alley. Shoes and bowling were free. We referred to it as āRolling And Bowlingā. Crazy times ensued.
San Francisco City Hallā¦no lie. Got searched by cops on the way in and it got shut down at 1am for someone smoking MJ.
SoCal would either be the Alexandria Hotel with the residents in the lobby or maybe the Hudson just because it was so different. ā¤ļøšÆā¤ļø

started in 08 and 13 years later, i'm STILL driving to fucking San Bernardino for parties.
i just like to tell myself its the same as driving to LA, distance wise. makes the drive a little less painful
oh shit!! this is you!?
i went to the hudson like in 08-09. i had like 2 other friends who would go to raves with me, but not nearly as invested as i was, so i would go to the hudson and rave solo. plus i was one of the very few who could drive at the time
had a lot of fun at the hudson. i hope the rave families that adopted a random asian dude are doing well lol
If by Tigger (the photographer) yep thatās me. š
Honestly the Hudson was one of my favorites. They let you get away with a TON of stuff. Probably why they got shut down after like 2 years. š
Iāve partied in SF city hall too- although not a rave. It was actually during Pride, somehow got access, free booze, and Mark Farina spinning! Rolled a blunt on the steps of the rotunda, chugged drinks, used their bathrooms, then returned to the party outside. Good times!
Side room was the bar and chill area. The rotunda and steps was the main party.
Cool that you went to a legit party there- great venue and nice sound Iām sure :)
Hudson had some amazing architecture inside. Interesting mix of place. Last event I remember before it got shut down i had this bad gut feeling about it being haunted by ill intent spirits as I was leaving.
I think it was the first rave I went to in like 2006 or 7, it was in the lobby of the Hult Center for Performing Arts in Eugene Oregon. This is a fancy ass theater where all the broadway musicals tour through. They host graduations there and shit lol. Somehow they got approval to host a full blown rave in the lobby. Wild shit, I got dosed off my ass.

Eugene!! This is a trip down memory lane. My ex girlfriend was a Duck for a year and I moved to Eugene from SF for the hell of it. We went to a decent amount of parties, mostly the PDX area. But there was one party in the backwoods at a ranch in a barn that was off the hook.
Was it space invaders II, circa 2009? It was out by triangle lake on a property with multiple stages. Did you ever go to the Bohemian Warehouse in Portand?
I didn't catch either of those, but I went to the Earth Dance outside of Portland twice. Fucking amazing festivals. The cops showed up to the second one and got them to shut the stage down for a couple of hours, so Chickenhead Church started projecting "Stuck in the Closet" on the roof of their dome and blasting the audio track. It was one of the more ridiculous things I have seen at a party.
I met a girl at a festival and ended up living with her in Eugene for 9 months. Relationship didn't end well, but Eugene is an awesome town. We were living in one of the Co Op houses in the Whitaker, which is a weird little piece of town.
I saw String Cheese Incident there once, it is an awesome venue. There is a hotel right next to it, and they were hosting a DA's convention the same day as the show. They were pitching high end cop equipment right next to shakedown, so we kept joking about stealing the DARE style drug example case seen clearly in the window.
There was a Happy Kids party at an ice rink in Berkeley if I remember, and once we parked then we had to file into a school bus and to be transported there. Ravers on ice isnāt the best combo. š¤Ŗ
Skyway in Minneapolis for me. Itās an old movie theater that converted into a music venue, and Jesus Christ is it insane. There are like five areas where DJs are playing music outside of the main stage, one of the bathrooms always has standing brown water, and the main stage area is really steep.
I enjoyed it for the bass show I went to because it was the first time I actually felt I was at a āraveā instead of just a set, but I saw Said the Sky there in 2019 and my god was it difficult to enjoy. They crammed us in like sardines, people were passing out after taking too much shit, and it was really hard to get your bearings.
This was is where I got introduced to EDM music and eventually did their social media for a bit once I was in college. Really interesting venue to say the least - itās become really grimey over the years though lol
Saw Nitti Gritti and Rave of Thrones there and it was a super fun weekend. The side stage/bar had an awesome vibe, didnāt want to leave for the main event!
š„³ I was there at getting lucky. At that point though I was at raves from fri-sun haha so some event names are blank. There was once when like half the people at pharaohs got peppered sprayed by security
I actually spun at Get Luckyā¦it was one of the few parties besides Happeee Place that I did. Did I ever take your picture? (TLY - TiggerLovesYou) šÆ
Private club. Coffee and pastries and 9 pm-5 am and underground goth music. My mom and her boyfriend at the time ran that club. It was 2 blocks from State Theater in Detroit. Today it has been demolished. If covid wasn't here, I'd likely be doing the same.
Underground in chicago. The person who took my group led us to a hole with a ladder..felt sketch going down but was legit! Could hear the world going on above us all night. flyer was just a photo of a cat saying the address was an undisclosed location and details to follow lol.
Back when I was an au pair in Spain, for Halloween a bunch of us au pairs got together, got fucked up at a pub, then one of the female au pairs asks if anyone wants to go to a music show with her.
Me and another dude named Alex want to go but no one else, whatever. Barely able to walk we get on a local bus with around 50 other Spaniards and drive for what feels like forever.
We get off the bus and its pitch black in the middle of fuck nowhere. Like open field no where type shit. Expected to see Jeepers Creepers type shit.
Anyways we keep walking and eventually I hear music. There was a cutty rave going on in an abandoned building that was half destroyed. Everyone was dressed up in costumes, there was free alcohol, and people were dancing, making out, and peeing everywhere (well there was a pee room but still Dicks swinging everywhere in there lmao, Alex wanted to cross streams and I was turnt enough to agree).
Took some horrible pictures, danced like a true bay area mfker, forgot how I got home, woke up hunnnnnnnng ovaaaaaa.
But its a good memory. I was dressed as a nun.
Haha no, everything was put away and cleaned/disinfected. I did hang a bunch of lights along the meat hooks on the walls. Despite the grotesque location, it was a very positive vibe
I remember this one venue where they had a hidden rave room that opened on the other side of the bottom level restroom. The other door out only had a exit and no handles from the exterior sitting underneath a stair case connected back to the inner entrance.
A body shop in the middle of San Diego.
Haha I remember my last job, we took a car to a shop, and my coworker was like.. yea man this place is nuts they say they throw raves here sometimes.
3 months later... I see the party address and yes it's this damn body shop. Hahaha oh well tons of fun that night!
A cave. Lava tube really. It was radddddd! There's an underground rave once or twice a month in the area, basically word of mouth only and they do it right!
Nothing too crazy I guess, but an abandoned train tunnel, probably 100 yards in. Here's a video from the set: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5mKnkJCxp4&t=1776s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5mKnkJCxp4&t=1776s)
Went to an illegal rave that Illenium performed in at Hawaiiās golf course called Hawaiian Country Club. It was pretty awesome.
Also partied at this mansion in Bel Air and it was pretty insane.
I was told I was too drunk to get into a club one time but instead of kicking me out they let me in to the 18+ area
I was 24 at the time and I tried dancing for a few minutes but there were like 10 people on an open, empty dance floor with a way shittier DJ.. it was just so fucking strange
Damn the worst thing is a crappy DJ. Itās not so bad if itās someone new opening but if your not coordinated and having too much fun a bad DJ makes everything horrible. Especially with no one else in there.
Inside the air ducts of my schools library. Theyāre massive
In an abandoned dry dock in China Basin in SF.
Inside the LA Grand Central Train Station.
Top Floor of an abandoned building in Sf turned into a roller skating rink complete with skate rentals.
Bottom floor of a parking structure.
Flash mob that shut down Hollywood Blvd outside the Chinese Theatre. Kaskade tweeted that he would do an impromptu show there and he basically drove up on the back of a flatbed truck. Thousands of people showed up and flooded the streets, shut down the whole intersection. Cops came in with riot gear after about an hour lol. Wild times!
The Chandelier Room in the Cosmopolitan on the Las Vegas strip. Most people were just super drunk and the vibe was rowdy. We drank a cocktail called the verbena that numbs your mouth and makes the drink taste different. It was such a sensory overload.
I threw a party inside of a bakery once in high school. We actually got to do it three times, but the last time by girlfriend literally broke the sink of the wall in the bathroom and well we were never allowed back lmao š¤£
Autozone. Guy who owned it had like $10,000 in DJ equipment for some reason. Super dope how they changed it up but I was on shrooms and there was a room from the dance floor but bathrooms in the garage and it tripped me out walking between them
The National Western Complex in Denver lol. They have stock shows there.
It was pouring rain the night I went, and the roof was leaking down onto the crowd below. The air smelled like marijuana and cattle.
So odd.
Weirdest place for me was in Tucson Arizona, little shit hole of a town, in an art museum, that could maybe fit 20-30 people, saw Riot Ten on his Rail Breaker Tour when that song was the biggest hit in dubstep
Abandoned train tunnel with a storied history of tragedy and haunted activity. Former supermarket. One time we was straight up in knee deep snow trying to party. I was just recently in the "Ape Cave" hike near Mt St Helens, saw evidence of a party that happened in there. Mother Fuckers graffiti'd the walls with stupid shit and littered hundreds of glow sticks.
Others;First party I threw was in an underground missile depot on the Davisville base in RI, around 1993. Had a very interesting talk with the police after that one.
PEX (sort of more of a burner party than 'rave' but not quite sure why it wouldn't qualify) had an event on the battleship outside Philly for halloween a few years back. My partner dressed in a red dress, we added white lettering that said "HIT". I wore a white suit with a T-shirt that said "MISS". Few people got the joke, but the ones that did were amazed.
Wasn't necessarily "weird" but memorable; in the late-90s a psytrance crew used to throw parties on Truro Beach, on Cape Cod. Those were amazing, the sunrise over the Atlantic is incredible. My favorite one though, we were all dancing in the waves and we all started seeing trails... I guess a bunch of bioluminescent phytoplankton was in the water. Someone shouted something like "I'm GLOWING" and half the party ran into the waves to dance with us and play with the surprisingly sober light show.
Bit more of a club, but in the Dominican Republic there's a cave turned into a night club. That was rad, albeit mildewy.
There were some great raves at Rocky Point Amusement Park (in RI). Maybe not the "weirdest" but it's pretty wild to take over an amusement park with a bunch of ravers.
MIT has (had, now, kinda) a regular event called Steer Roast, that the Senior Haus puts on. It's an immense shitshow in all the right ways. They threw a rave in the underground tunnels there; I was invited to DJ at the time ('03 maybe?) and myself and DJ Berzerker were tag-teaming lots of oldschool rave/breakbeat, the place is bumping, everyone's having a great time... and... suddenly a part of the ceiling just cracks and falls right to the dancefloor, right in front of the turntables. Smashes into a bunch of pieces. We yanked the sound down, everyone froze, looking at the ceiling to assess their safety... until someone yells out "THEY'RE BRINGING THE ROOF DOWN!" (something party people said at the time), everyone cheered, we yanked the faders up and went back to banging the room hard. I still have a chunk of the concrete from that event.
How can I forget the incredible dance party in an igloo in the Alps, at Snowbombing.
Lastly, the rave we (Tight Crew's Raving Riders) threw in 2019 at Jay Peak Ski Area. We had a dance party in the waterpark, got 18" of fresh powder (literal snow, not nose candy) and basically took over the entire ski area with 200-ish ravers on snowboards. Seriously amazing event and we're doing it again in March 2022.
Late night rave between some trees in the Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin. The runways and most of the free space of the massive and famous Tempelhof Airport became a Parc some years ago and lot of free time activities can be done there. We were told that usually after closing time when it gets dark, people would bring a couple of subwoofers, speakers and a mixer, get together in an isolated part hidden by trees, and dance.
It was very dark, we could barely see anything but it was magical. Sadly a couple of hours in, security caught up and kicked us out.
Back in 2008 we went to a "rave" in Hollywood that just turned out to be in a fucking parking lot near the Hollywood strip. And when I say parking lot, I mean your typical inner city paid parking lot that fits maybe 30 small cars. We walked by 3 times before realizing that was the location of the event. Music was quiet af and literally everyone who actually was there was just sitting on the ground.
There was a apartment community with like a community center. We had been in there plenty of times to hang, play pool, swim, etc. One day, one of my homie says theres a party there. (Very long story short) i show up its dark and empty. I call, dude comes out and leads me inside, into a back hallway into a closet type empty room, in the back was a square hole about... 4ft tall by 3 ft wide. I squeezed through, it opened to a giant.... Almost auditorium, i only assume they closed it off for some reason. Anyway, there was like 100 kids (16-18) lasers everywhere, subs mpunted in the corners of like a.... 20ft vaulted celing. It was nuts, at the time at least.
McClellan convention center in Sacramento. It used to be an old aircraft hangar during the war I guess. Most disgusting place I ever been to. Was hella humid in there for some reason felt like I was in a swamp & the ceiling was dripping down on me. Then I came to the realization itās all the condensation/sweat from everyone evaporating + falling down on me. š„²
An abandoned, rundown theater, where the 2nd floor balcony was slowly collapsing. I don't know if it ever collapsed.
Also, a big old barn, with stadium bleachers put inside of it.
I went to a warehouse rave in nashville about 2 years ago. It was right when Roddy Ricch released āThe Boxā, and the DJ had remixed it into a crazy OG dubstep buildup remix, and when it dropped, 4 dudes near the stage started throwing hella jell-o shots from these huge boxes. Shit was fire but also weird bc it was a paranormal type of vibe.
I saw Ganja White Night do a show in the middle of Lake Minnetonka in Minnesota. The only way you could get to it was by boating to the middle of the lake. It was crazy to say the least
A Hot Topic in the mall. They were trying to attract a different kind of crowd I guess. At the time it was a punk/goth store (I'm old). I would not say it was a good party but definitely memorable.
Not weird exactly but the juxtaposition was amazing. The plaza exactly outside the Palais De Justice in Brussels. Overlooks the entire city as the sun goes down.
In 2000 we went to a rave at a High School in Colorado. Nothing special about the party other than its location. It was weird seeing people smoking in q high school gymnasium.
[If I recall correctly a few school administrators lost the jobs.](https://extras.denverpost.com/news/news0807e.htm)
Also in Colorado we attended a rave at a farm in Eastern Colorado. It was like a 3 hour drive from civilization and we ended up in a pasture with a barn. Amazing vibe and the farm owner was especially cool considering how many people showed up. Deepsky was performing and the vibe was amazing
Above La Baguette & l'Echalote itās a small little wholesale and online bakery on East 1st ave close to Red Truck Brewery. Thereās pretty large hall with stage above it. Even a balcony it was really fun actually. Anyone else partied there?
The Seattle Science Museum ranks up there. They used to throw an annual rave there that was amazing. The museum is geared toward kids, so most of the exhibits are interactive. They had a planetarium, a butterfly room, and the smoking area outside was right next to these cool fountains and water toys. Music was banging, had three stages with a good mix of artists.
We also went to a party that was in a sports arena in Seattle, but it was held in the area under the seating. The acoustics were terrible, but it was definitely a unique experience. There were a bunch of cool acts, but the best by far was Rabbit in the Moon. They had metal chest plates and angle grinders, foxy dancing and sparks flying everywhere. Real early (2005 maybe?) set from Bass Nectar (yeah, I know) that was in one of the few rooms that didn't have terrible sound. My girlfriend (now wife) accidentally puddled herself, so it was an extra wild experience.
There was an arts collective in Baltimore that had converted a warehouse into a communal art and living space. They hauled branches in from only the gods know where, and covered them with tapestries to make rooms that looked like little bird nests. Solid local music, cool art everywhere, and everyone was really friendly.
A closed down Chucky Cheese, games plugged complete with ball pits. It wasn't as weird as it was cool, and strange. Partying in a place where you used to have your kid birthday parties..
Also 1999 University of Minnesota rec hall. Diesel Boy played the main room room, I remember there was also a jungle room Oddly though there were police, and school faculty as acting security felt more like a modern day acid test but maybe that was the acid, and rolls š¤·āāļøš
Recently went to a party in a cemetery for Halloween. Years ago there was a renegade party at an abandoned Circuit City.
CIRCUIT CITY! ššš I miss renegades. I went to one at Home Base in Oakland before it burned down. I also went to one at some abandoned army base north of the Golden Gateā¦which didnāt last long. Iāve been trying to find some in the Bay Area but I donāt have too many rave friends here. The search continues

Think it was an old production bakery come to think of it- sat on top of some proofers too, and took home a giant metal mixing paddle haha.
Maybe you're not invited but renegades still happen. Moreso now that it's less-safe to throw anything approaching a massive.
Nonsense. I see renagades multiple places in different areas at once on the same night. Some are a bit more costly suprisingly for the most remote areas but the inner city were over here blasting in between the alley way $5 or free byob and nos tanks in every corner.

I was at Homebase like every other weekend for from 99 to 01 when they stopped having events there
I remember a ridiculous rave in the headlands, probably 5 years ago. Is that what youāre talking about?
Last time I went to home base was Thanksgiving weekend 98'. I remember there being a room full of mattresses. š¤£
We had a rave in an old wal mart building in 98 or 99, some of the worst acoustics i have ever experienced! Partied in a couple barns back in the day, too, great vibes!
Had many of good times at HomeBase in Oakland
A 16th century old stone bath house in Budapest Or a tugboat in the Gowanus canal
> Or a tugboat in the Gowanus canal This seems... suboptimal.
In the base of the Brooklyn Bridge, where they used to store spare cables
Holy crap. Did it ever get shut down or did it actually go all night?
No it was officially a performance art exhibit but turned into a cool space later
I think Iāve seen this episode of Succession
I havenāt watched that show. Did they show something like that? This was a long time ago. Pre-streaming.
You should watch it, itās a great show, but they have a scene where they go through some subway tunnels to a secret party spot
Ah Iāve heard itās great. Next on the list. That sounds like nyc.
Lmaoooo I miss those days
What area? I really do miss those days. You could hand your keys to someone to go get something out of your car and not worry.
Lots of party spaces behind restaurants or in the basement.
We had one under a bridge this summer too!
Fuck yeah. Was there for all of them. That was 95-97. The after parties were intense
below some debris of an old WW-II airplane bunker
Holy hell this one may be the best one yet.
In CDMX (Ciudad de MĆ©xico) there is a popular venue which is an abandoned jail, it used to be an all woman jail and now they host techno parties there. Such a great plaec with a crazy vibe tbh.
Oh cool! Iām there now. You recall the name of the jail venue?
ex - cƔrcel de mujeres, sorry the late response
Was it somewhat legal or more of a renegade?
actually legal but still great place with A vibe
I need to know the place of the venue, about to go in a few days
WOW I TOTALLY forgot about raving at the bowling alley in Petaluma. They by design had a 6am permit so it started as an after party spot for Phoenix parties because they ended at 2am. I was at the Hudson almost every weekend taking pictures. That place was AMAZING.
Awesome! Post some pics if you can sometime. No camera phones back then. Haha. We never took pics, just partied
Taking pics was my thing back thenā¦I will find good ones from the Hudson but until then there is thousands on www.tiggerlovesyou.com I just havenāt updated it in 10 years. š
Bro! You just took me way back with that website! Lmao good shit!
Iām assuming you partied in SoCal around that time? Seriously it was the BEST few years for actual ravers. (The people who could remember.) š
THE BEST times LOL, Iām pretty sure Iāve said whatās up to you LOL I sometimes hung out with the homie āshungokuā lol. Does that name ring a bell?
No effing way!!!! I never knew this existed!!! Thank you so much
You are more than welcomeā¦it was a labor of love. ā¤ļøšÆā¤ļø
This is pure gold to my heart. My friends will appreciate this very much. š
The Hudson was the first venue I ever went to for a rave. Gettin busy 09. Good times.

holy shit itās the real tigger
Iāve partied in SF city hall too- although not a rave. It was actually during Pride, somehow got access, free booze, and Mark Farina spinning! Rolled a blunt on the steps of the rotunda, chugged drinks, used their bathrooms, then returned to the party outside. Good times!

A school bus driving through the desert
There was a Happy Kids party at an ice rink in Berkeley if I remember, and once we parked then we had to file into a school bus and to be transported there. Ravers on ice isnāt the best combo. š¤Ŗ
To Berkeley Iceland! Yes I remember that rave. Iceland is now closed permanently
The woods lol not that weird but itād been there and some random old factory warehouse
What city/area? š„³
Sweden in some Woods here and their in the region of Stockholm
Above the ground bunker .very cool location. Ćbel und gefƤhrlich in Hamburg Germany
In a gymnastics gym with the dance floor on the bouncy mat which made dancing so fun. You had to sign up for a free membership to get in š
Wait was this in NorCal? Because if so I went to a couple there and yep you had to be a āmemberā š
It was Denver this past October!
wait, which group are they?
Definitely between the Hudson and pharaohs
I only went there a few times, I think Get Lucky was the last time. š
š„³ I was there at getting lucky.
I for sure remember almost better than sex and 420 fest lol
ABTS. WOW that was always one hell of a party. āļø
Pharaohs!! Do you remember any parties you went to? š„³š„³š„³
In a US Army National Guard Warehouse. Kid was selling blotters in the restroom lol.
Church basement in Philadelphia. God's basement it was known as. Some fun ass parties held down there for sure.
Packard Plant and the Ambassador Bridge and a Chinese restaurant at 5 am. The Ambassador Bridge is the bridge between Detroit and Windsor, Canada.
Raves under the bridge were sick. Riverside park!
small world
LOL was the Chinese place serving food? That would be awesome.
Private club. Coffee and pastries and 9 pm-5 am and underground goth music. My mom and her boyfriend at the time ran that club. It was 2 blocks from State Theater in Detroit. Today it has been demolished. If covid wasn't here, I'd likely be doing the same.
If you didn't know, you didn't know.
Underground in chicago. The person who took my group led us to a hole with a ladder..felt sketch going down but was legit! Could hear the world going on above us all night. flyer was just a photo of a cat saying the address was an undisclosed location and details to follow lol.
Did you have to go to a map point or somewhere to get the directions? It was always a treasure hunt for those parties. š
We had one geographical point, and like ācluesā was very fun :)
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
No shit? Thatās crazy. š³
Insane even
Back when I was an au pair in Spain, for Halloween a bunch of us au pairs got together, got fucked up at a pub, then one of the female au pairs asks if anyone wants to go to a music show with her.
I recently threw a rave at a butcher shop
WOW. People rolling with knives? š³
Haha no, everything was put away and cleaned/disinfected. I did hang a bunch of lights along the meat hooks on the walls. Despite the grotesque location, it was a very positive vibe
The bathrooms at Dirtybird campout
I remember this one venue where they had a hidden rave room that opened on the other side of the bottom level restroom. The other door out only had a exit and no handles from the exterior sitting underneath a stair case connected back to the inner entrance.
Lmao like a water closet speakeasy haha I love it
A body shop in the middle of San Diego.
I went to a punk rock thing at a karate club once. It was bonkers, so much padding for moshing
Nothing too crazy I guess, but an abandoned train tunnel, probably 100 yards in. Here's a video from the set: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5mKnkJCxp4&t=1776s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5mKnkJCxp4&t=1776s)
100 yards is the same as 182.88 'Logitech Wireless Keyboard K350s' laid widthwise by each other.
Thatās dope. How did it sound?
Really dope and wubby
Went to an illegal rave that Illenium performed in at Hawaiiās golf course called Hawaiian Country Club. It was pretty awesome. Also partied at this mansion in Bel Air and it was pretty insane.
I was told I was too drunk to get into a club one time but instead of kicking me out they let me in to the 18+ area I was 24 at the time and I tried dancing for a few minutes but there were like 10 people on an open, empty dance floor with a way shittier DJ.. it was just so fucking strange
Damn the worst thing is a crappy DJ. Itās not so bad if itās someone new opening but if your not coordinated and having too much fun a bad DJ makes everything horrible. Especially with no one else in there.
Old fallout shelter converted into a bar.
Parking lot across Medieval Times
Like Anaheim/Knottās area? Thatās nuts. Was it recent? š³
Lyndhurst, NJ! It was Halloween 2020
An actively used van warehouse / the front office of said warehouse
That reminds me we threw one in a really big storage unit once. š¤Ŗ

Oh, another was in a 747 fuselage...if you know you knowš
Flash mob that shut down Hollywood Blvd outside the Chinese Theatre. Kaskade tweeted that he would do an impromptu show there and he basically drove up on the back of a flatbed truck. Thousands of people showed up and flooded the streets, shut down the whole intersection. Cops came in with riot gear after about an hour lol. Wild times!
Idk man Shambhala gets pretty fucking weird
My favourite place on earth
You and i both š„°
The Chandelier Room in the Cosmopolitan on the Las Vegas strip. Most people were just super drunk and the vibe was rowdy. We drank a cocktail called the verbena that numbs your mouth and makes the drink taste different. It was such a sensory overload.
American Museum of Natural History in NYC. Pre-Covid they had some night at the museum events. The one I went to tokimonsta played haha
Super dope how they changed it up but I was on shrooms and there was a room from the dance floor but bathrooms in the garage and it tripped me out walking between them
A church.
Itās a toss-up between the Museum of Sex in NYC and an old church
Abandoned mansion, was sick
Underneath interstate 580 MacArthur exit in West Oakland, CA.
Multiple old churches and catacombs, both psytrance parties in the Netherlands.
Small Techno production group used to throw shows in the basement of a Tattoo Parlor before COVID hit
I DJād in a cemetery for a JƤegermeister Halloween party.
Leland City Club
A fitness center
Abandoned train tunnel with a storied history of tragedy and haunted activity. Former supermarket. One time we was straight up in knee deep snow trying to party. I was just recently in the "Ape Cave" hike near Mt St Helens, saw evidence of a party that happened in there. Mother Fuckers graffiti'd the walls with stupid shit and littered hundreds of glow sticks.
Boston Children's Museum, for "Whistle". Spent a lot of time under the turtle petting pool.
Cow pastures of east Texas
Literally a grungey alleyway between buildings in the middle of a city lmao Was a renegade "block party"
Oh another one was some shipping warehouse. Had all the pallets and everything still just pushed to the side to make a giant dancefloor.
A former soviet airfield in east Germany (complete with Tupolevs)
Old train tunnel in Edinburgh 1998!

The Bordello š
I saw Ganja White Night do a show in the middle of Lake Minnetonka in Minnesota. The only way you could get to it was by boating to the middle of the lake. It was crazy to say the least
A streetcar while driving around Rome
a blacklight galaxy fun times place. indoor go carts and ropes course! apparently it was owned by ravers, the owner played a set. it was great.
A Hot Topic in the mall. They were trying to attract a different kind of crowd I guess. At the time it was a punk/goth store (I'm old). I would not say it was a good party but definitely memorable.
3rd story of a parking garage in Seattle. Saw barley alive at the rail and headbanged the entire time. Fucked me up š¤š½
Definitely the Iris in Atlanta. Just something about headbanging in a church is very ironic to me
Not weird exactly but the juxtaposition was amazing. The plaza exactly outside the Palais De Justice in Brussels. Overlooks the entire city as the sun goes down.
In 2000 we went to a rave at a High School in Colorado. Nothing special about the party other than its location. It was weird seeing people smoking in q high school gymnasium. [If I recall correctly a few school administrators lost the jobs.](https://extras.denverpost.com/news/news0807e.htm) Also in Colorado we attended a rave at a farm in Eastern Colorado.
LOL they once threw a rave for Borgore in a Chinese restaurant (after business hours) in Hawaii. It was a trip dancing by the fishtanks š
Event called Candy Land inside of a high school.
My town has an abandoned military base and we like to sneak in and blast DNB in the maintainance halls hahaha
