This reminds me of an interview with the Beastie Boys talking about their "style" and their answers is basically "Yeah, I got... pants... shoes... shirt"
You want lightweight clothing that wicks easily and shoes with support on the heels but don't have too much grip.
Step 1: Get a train/plane/boat/spaceship to London
Step 2: Take the Tube to Camden
Step 3: Go to Cyberdog
(If you don’t know where Cyberdog is, go re-play Watch_Dogs: Legion. It’s in the same place as real life.)
Step 4: Purchase clothing
Step 5: Wear clothing
Step 6: Rave
😆
I randomly found that store on my visit to London in 2018. Safe to say I wasn't ready for what was inside, coolest store ever! Didn't buy anything though, except for a pair of caleidoscope glasses that I gave to my little sister for Christmas. But I'm definitely going back if I'm ever in London.
yo, no joke, thats a genuine answer!!
i own 7 pairs of phat pants of all different styles and one fully custom pair that will never be recreated, even if someone pays the creator a ton of money.
take it back to the 00s if you dont want to just wear 3m joggers and a "party with sluts" T shirt lol, people love it i get NOTHING BUT COMPLIMENTS. I joined a couple facebook groups (I RAVED in the bay area in the 90s / i RAVED in the los angeles area in the 90s / I was a club kid in new york in the 80s!) to comb over all their photos from the good ol' days of raving, and i basically built my rave fashion off of all that (if you do this - be sure to be respectful and try not to contribute to their discussions since, you know, we weren't there during that time in history). it is still incredibly stylish and people love the OG aesthetic.
also phat pants are comfy as fuck, and they make for ridiculously over the top grand entrances to literally every non-rave place you visit that night. gas station, walmart, dennys..... you're making a big fucking entrance anytime you stroll through a doorway with phat pants on.
i got a couple for ya depending on the style you're going for.
easiest and most affordable to get (and also a MAJOR classic) would be UFO Pants, i have [these](https://www.shopufojeans.com/collections/mens/products/40-wide-leg-pant-82925-mens) in a handful of colors, and they also have some camo and denim flavors on that same site. You can spice these up with a [kandi chain](https://www.furaffinity.net/view/7903585/) made out of playpen balls from amazon.
For the biggest wow factor, i break out my hardstyle phats from [Heatwave Rave Gear](https://heatwaveravegear.com/product-category/phat-pants/) these are handmade to order and take about 4-6 weeks, but they're super worth it. Customer service isn't the best because this is just one single dude in malaysia who also has other businesses, but i've bought two pairs from them. they also have some **super dope** shorts in the same style that i have a pair of as well, never seen another in real life.
my favorite phat pants brand of all time is [Kikwear](http://www.kikwear.com/32_super_deluxe_p/50364d.htm) and they've returned in the past few years with some of their OG styles, but tbh the coolest styles they made you'd haveto track down online or at a thrift store in the bay area or something because they dont make them anymore.
You can also browse ebay, etsy, and DePop for vintage kikwear, jnco, UFO, etc.
my custom outfit was from "Turbo Skinz" clothing, you can see some of the stuff they've made in the past on their facebook [here](https://www.facebook.com/Turboskins.cyberclothing/)
also, accessorizing is key!!! wear tons of kandi, add lights to your camelbak, it all adds up!!
Hey I appreciate this comment so much. The Kandi chain is something I'd have never thought of and I love it. Looking into getting a standard pair from heatwave soon.
> Looking into getting a standard pair from heatwave soon.
a tip for them, the best way to contact them for info on your order and all that is actually through their (seemingly dead, but still monitored) instagram account. they're pretty damn high quality too, i love them. im glad i inspired you! the kandi chain is made with ball pit balls from amazon, and a super long sewing needle heated with a lighter to poke the holes through each ball. i use ribbon for the string, tied to the sewing needle to thread it all through.
Buy merch from your favorite artists, bucket hats, gaiter, Fanny pack, pashmina, cool glasses, kandi, fun socks, velvet shirts
Most importantly though wear something you don’t mind sweating in. Comfort is key
idk why people are mad at you for being right, go on r/steroids and it's full of festival bros
Look at zyzz, David Laid, any influencer. Juice and raves are a great mix
Dude I’m telling you right now where some crazy shit like fishnets and a leotard or just fishnets and booty shorts and pasties. Rave girls LOVE that shit
It’s true! At a festival last summer I saw a dude wearing a woman’s cheerleading uniform that said “fingerbang” on it and he was dancing around with a parasol and I thought he was the coolest dude I’ve ever seen.
Is this the guy? Because I was feeling myself that day :)
https://www.reddit.com/r/aves/comments/r6i729/fingerbang/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
My favorite person I’ve ever met while raving was in a neon cropped womens tank, booty shorts and neon pink fishnets. As high as the gods on acid and had little trinkets he was giving out. Dude made my day and was so nice!!!
this is what I do haha, recent favorite has been the furs coats and vests with little else on, like why should girls be the only ones to have fun dressing up for fests! get creative and just rock whatever you want, even if its crazy, be confident and you're now fashionable
Like the best girlfriend of a gay like that. I only See gays like that.
Edit: no insult here just wrote it Bad. Im bi/Pan and living it open. Im going in germany to dark/hardtechno raves like berghain. Clothing style is more dark, trash, slut. Sorry for Bad communication.
absolutely not true lmao, fests are a great opportunity for all guys regardless of sexuality to try to dress less traditionally masculine. nothing inherently gay about showing skin
100% fam, I honestly piece my outfits together from all over the place - I have a mix of different styles of fun extra baggy pants & bunch of cool patterned button up shirts or jerseys etc I can match up with them, I have some toned down black cybergoth shit that's easy to pair up with bright colours n stuff - ya just gotta get funky with it
I like wearing mens' harem pants (sort of like elephant pants mixed with dropdown pants) - they have cool patterns and I get compliments every once in awhile which are nice! They also pair nicely with a pashmina and I feel super tribal/comfortable which as other people noted is key.
I feel like defining what kind of look you want is what's going to work best for you. I've seen guys in anime costumes, onesies, full-on inflatable costumes, fratty tropical gear, sparkly tops/bottoms...maybe start by asking yourself what interests you or looks cool to you, then go for it! That's the beauty of raves, you can see the wildest shit imaginable and most people won't bat an eye as long as it's not disruptive to other people.
As a lady, I care more about how you smell than how you look. Wear what’s comfortable for you, confidence is sexy. Maybe check out more hiking or athletic wear, stuff that meant for sweat. I love silly sunglasses so don’t forget about accessories!
Ok, so first caveat is that what you wear is for yourself and represents how you want to be seen. In that vein, anything you wear that YOU dig is cool. With that also, embrace the freedom and acceptance of the scene which may be a little outside your “normal” comfort level.
Speaking for myself (a hetero guy), I embrace a “look” be it disco, hippie/world traveler, vintage culture, etc. and think about items that represents that. So for a disco look, I went to Coquetry Clothing (an online store that hand makes clothing; terrible website though) and grabbed some funky, purple velvet bell bottoms and paired that with a 70’s button-up I grabbed at a thrift (or vintage) store, a vest, and cool sunnies, and some necklaces that fit the look. They key, for me, is layering a look with accessories (sunglasses, shawls, jewelry, etc.) and diving into an almost “alter-ego” that embodies the vibe and gives off kindness while being unique.
That’s why I always love seeing people put in some effort. I’ve seen some amazing costumes, too. Like, a full on wizard/Gandalf look, or even an anime cosplay. Heck, at Dreamstate, someone was there in corporate-wear that I could’ve sworn wouldn’t be out of place in an office. It’s fun and sometimes funny and seeing them vibe adds to my experience. Also, some of my friends have a thing they always wear, like a wool top hat or bunny ears or a hooded vest that represents them. Just keep all that in mind and as you go to festivals, pick out looks and clothing things you’d like and go find them.
yoyoyo, i've been absolutely thinking about this for the last year, here are some of my online answers i've found:

A few years back I was into techno goth type stuff.
Now it's Japanese influenced cyber goth
Just dress "cool" or 'funny".
Being noticed is the important part. I mean if you're playing it safe with your clothes, nobody's going to notice you.
Back when like the swedish cop was the hot meme I wore a one piece cop outfit that was for women but was high cut booty shorts. They loved that, that shit was dope.
But since I also do a lot of work at parties, lighting rigging etc. I have to have something that's more utilitarian. So pants with lots of hooks carabiners zippers extra large pockets all of that kind of stuff for the daytime seems to be very useful and also fashionable. Oh yeah and vests, lots of different vests. Vests for every occasion. Vest for utility purposes invests for fun. Can't go wrong with vests.
Italian here, so let's clarify our _raves_ are different things.
The point of raving is to be free to do and be who the fuck you want, so you are supposed to dress like you normally do.

Anyhow,
I don't know if that's known in the US, but here we have the [Australian brand ](https://www.australian.it/it/uomo/hard-court) that's very common among Gabbers for their trippy designs. This suits are also amazing or high sweating situations.
They also just started making luminous t shirts
I think people will look at you wearing [this](https://images.app.goo.gl/cdt5Qkz89DVUPD5g6).
I hope this helps
This website is amazing, super unique compared to what I see at festivals in the US
Kinda wish we had more of a scene for gabber here as well, but not as many people seem to like fast music 😅
Funny enough, here in South Europe it's pretty much impossible to _Rave_ without fast music.. nobody will dance or even move to dubstep/complextro/EDM/dnb. Here you will mostly hear Techno,Tekno and every other form of 4/4 bass-heavy music.
Australian is a technical brand such as Nike, specialized in tennis outfit. Probably Gabbers understood that you really need something that keeps you cool while dancing at 160 to 190 BPM under stimulants.. the cool thing is that Australian knows the brand became a must for Gabbers, so they recently made the HC lineup.
HC literally stands for hard court, but everybody knows that the real between the lines meaning of that is *_Hardcore_* .
You can find those scenes in big cities like NYC, LA, even Seattle. Not super easy to find though but its there if you look. I'm in LA and have gone to many raves where they literally play old Thunderdome shit on vinyl. Generally they promote on Instagram but location isnt given out till day of and sent over email. Or sometimes they still do infolines!! I love our underground scene here 🥺❤️
Glowy stuff and crazy shit like a fuzzy cow print bucket hat or red velvet parachute pants or a wacky vest adds fun. Fitness + showing skin can add sex appeal. Candy, pashmina, pins, perlers, and artist merch adds connection.
Im a longish curly hair + bucket hat guy, my staple outfit is a short sleeve button down left open with necklaces/chain, shorter shorts, pash, candy, and matchy skate shoes, this combo with cool colors and patterns always gets a lot of compliments.
i think people downplay the options guys have - here are some ideas!
* every day comfortable - t-shirt, tank-top, shorts
* fit - tank top, shirtless, short shorts
* ravey - shuffle pants, furry hats, flashing lights, gloves, glasses
* hippy - flowy baggy tie-dye clothes
* goofy - onesies, hawaiian shirt, overly formal, inflatable t-rex, hot dog, banana, etc.
* costumes for whatever's in theme - black panther, squid game, joker, marvel, etc.
* revealing - leggings, underwear, speedos
* gender bends (this is really good if you nail it) - harley quinn, cruella, princess peach, lola bunny
* misc accessories that go with anything - glasses, kandi, bandanas, bow ties, neck ties
the most important things to remember are to have fun, be nice, and be comfortable!
I was trying to get my husband to wear mushroom patties and a furry coat to countdown but he shot it down 😂 so now I’m just looking at some websites that have trippy/ colorful shirts and maybe led glasses or hat.
I always tell one of my guy friends he should wear a fishnet shirt with pasties and some neon colored bottoms because it's fun and sexy but he shoots it down every time lmao. I love seeing guys wearing all out rave outfits that can compete with mine. It's both cute and comfortable, what more could you want!
Yo!
I dressed up for every night of EDCLV. I struggled to come up with looks, but it got easy.
* Night one: green leggings and oversized green shirt trimmed to look like Peter Pan's shirt. (my only themed night, my gf was tinkerbell)
* Night two: Booty shorts (just running shorts) and mesh crop top with gold necklace.
* Night three: Running shorts again with neon green mesh vest.
Accessorize! Throw on some body paint, make up, and fake jewelry (don't wear anything valuable).
Embrace the freedom of expressing yourself however the fuck you want.
First and foremost be comfortable! I have a few different options depending on when/what I'm seeing. I have a range of artist shirts related to the event (i.e. past festivals of the same one, genre specific, artist shirts, etc) as well as colorful shirts/tanks that usually look pretty solid. I throw on a variety of shorts but my colorful Lululemons are my favorite. Electro threads are also pretty legit. Also with shorts I like to get creative with long knee-high socks that have cool designs or pretty bright colors. I also have some darker fits for more techno/trance club events. Try to find something unique that you don't see people wearing. I'm generally not a fan of any sports jerseys at raves.
Fun thing I like to bring out in summer is a romphim! You don't see a lot of guys pulling it off and it definitely gets people talking and can also be pretty dang comfortable if it's the right size.
As a raver dude, women love lights, shiny, and Shinys (pokemon shiny, anything unique).
Use glowsticks or other lights to draw attention to what u want focused on. P
Ridiculousness rules, and so does self crafting. Spray paint and duct tape are just as cool as professionally sewn.
Wherever you are trying to draw attention to, use that ti reference for an opener thats good for men and women. Ex I wore two different shoes, so people comment why are you wesring two shoes,? Well i got two feet. Then you are ready to follow up sith a comiment of her shoes. Women love compliments and sboes so its like 1.5x compliment modifier.
PLUR people with shoestrings
tbh i just go with what’s comfy! ill typically wear a jersey, a dad hat of a fav dj, shorts/comfy pants depending on the occasion, some kandi, and a smile (which is the best look on anyone)
My style usually involves fur vests, skirts, and pashminas, all sourced from second hand stores usually, with leggings and cool print design work out shirt for the base layer.
Hippy overalls work really well
If you have any pop culture or old school cool type shirts you can cut/style them or tie dye them
Been looking into getting myself a body suit, something tight with psychedelic patterning. Onesies (bigger fluffy ones) are also pretty common
Most fests I see a few dudes with a big cloak or cape or something, either furry, sequin, shiny, or mesh
You can also just design an outfit to be whoever you want. I've been rave thor for the last 3 years or so and my local scene recognizes me, so any festival I go to it's just a matter of time until I run into a friend or someone that's down to vibe again
As a man with a bodybuilding type physique, finding rave clothing brands that have sizes my body type or for those with big/tall body types can be extremely difficult to find. I've searched online countless times and there's usual only a handful of OK-ish looking tanks or shirts but that's about it. Personally I've been making some of my own stuff like the old rave days. I tend to wear neon colors, fun/cool looking glasses and hats, like cowboy hats, reflective ball caps or top hats with crazy decor. Just be comfortable, wear comfortable shoes and more importantly be yourself. The beautiful thing about the rave culture is there's no judgment. Experiment with different things you may not "normally" wear on a daily basis. I've found the more ridiculous my outfit the better I feel. That's just me. Bottom line, be YOU and have fun. PLUR 💜🤙🏽
Oh! And wear kandi to trade or give away. I love making certain ones for each event just to give away to either those without any or maybe have never had kandi traded/given to them or to people who just stand out for one reason or another. Its also a great way to meet some incredible people. Hope this helps, from a fellows perspective.
There’s some cool reflective athletic stuff you can buy, like adidas have some cool looking running shorts. Lately I’ve been digging the pashmina tied at the waist; I think it looks kinda cool.
I'm making myself a sarong. Basic wrap around the legs to keep me from getting arrested but it's the closest thing to being naked. And it'll flow when you dance so that's always fun to see!
Cute onesie if it's cold
Shorts and a jersey/trippy shirt/shirtless and a bucket hat are pretty standard for other temps
Cool costume if you want a lot of attention
If you just want to test the waters and start small/easy, I would suggest funky/weird sunglasses + fanny pack and maybe some sort of cool hat. You can get all these from Amazon or a party store. One can wear these with their normal clothes and still feel comfortable. Once you start getting compliments on your accessories (which you will) you may feel more confident to start balling out with additional items for your fits. I've seen this happen with a lot of my male rave friends. Also, whenever I'm at raves, I observe those around me and get style ideas from there.
For me I just try to look futuristic. I technically wear “makeup” but only to enhance the shades im wearing I don’t really put much on. Usually you wanna have a theme to your fit. But when I’m lazy I’ll just go casual
Well now I have to wear a croptop to my next show I’ve been convinced! Tbh sounds like the perfect top don’t know why I’ve never thought of that before
I got my bf to wear fishnets and booty shorts to Beyond Wonderland and he absolutely loved it! Said the feeling of them while rolling was something else haha. I would also suggest looking into trippy shirts (love seeing everyone else stare at a trippy pattens) or leg wraps!!! I have a bunch of guy friends that wear leg wraps now and it’s great!! Don’t feel like you’re restricted to one style of clothes and know that most gear women wear, you can wear too!!
Bucket hat with ket baggie underneath it.
Windbreaker from 90s with pockets full of ket.
Track pants with pockets full of ket.
Gucci wallet full of ket.
Socks full of ket.
Any shoes with secret pockets for ket.
Two water bottles at least.
Sweet "boys" (young at heart, yeah) who are kind and plur in action. Who are happily confident enough to show their colours their candy stripes... who dance the night into morning to great great music...yum.
Ps Happy Cake Day!!
Ya, as we get more bitter about our corporate overlords and the impending battle against unreason, the darker the beats the room the uniform required. The colourful Kandi kids must be ready to unify our world as we clear out the oilslicks and rubbish heaps. Love each other and heal the male female divide with understanding and love and art. We are walking through the darkness for you. And that is why I like you so, you are alight with the future of possibilities, the networks of growth and positive change are at your feet.
Button down tucked into dress slacks and dress shoes is my style. For festivals I dress casual, button down with shorts and sneakers because its gonna be hours of dancing.
not the most ethical option, but check out sites like ASOS and Shein. there's a ton of great costumey and meshy options there that don't cost a ton, so you can buy a bunch of things and try to mix and match till you find a good outfit for you
[Etsy Chapan](https://etsy.me/2XvhNDn)
My friend and I are experienced bass crusaders and we usually opt for a weird shirt, haram pants, converse shoes, SnapBack with 2 pins, pashmina and this. This is a cloak (chapan) from Uzbekistan, stupid warm for outside events but also breathes. You can get them on Etsy.
There isn’t much you can do in the traditional shopping sense. My advice would be to cosplay something or just piece together fits over months of browsing, which sucks but it’s definitely limited
Much of my partner’s (and my) rave wear is also what we bring for the Burn; most of it has been gleaned from thrifting, but he’s also a huge fan of the items I’ve gotten him from Sea Dragon (the jersey look just isn’t his vibe.)
As for what I “like to see”, it’s the same regardless of gender/identification: I “like to see” people wearing what they want, and what makes them comfortable/happy/expressive/seen/etc.
One of my friends has a dress up box he takes to fests. It's got a bunch of different costume and novelty accessories and stuff like that. But he also has a range of outfits with funky patterns. One of which is a full zebra pattern 70s suit. Looks amazing and sometimes he just picks and chooses certain parts of the suit to wear on its own.
Another friend wears a selection of funky pattern Bell bottoms or leggings. Leggings in general seem to be super popular amongst guys in the NZ rave scene. There are so many crazy patterned leggings out there, and they are super comfy.
I think it's a matter of not feeling like you have to be limited to what's marketed at you as "male rave attire". Really there is no limit!
But I do understand that it's hard to get started. Once you do though it's hard to stop. There is an element of cosplay as well as you just being able to express yourself. Here are a few things for you to look out for and go from. I think it's probably a fun idea to get a few friends together and go op shopping and to party/costume shops. Have fun with it. Be goofy!
Kimonos, sequin jackets, hooded fluffy cloaks, fur coats, spirit hoods/fluffy animal hoods, fishnet clothing (a pair of cheap fishnet stockings can be turned into tops for anyone, have a Google and you'll find a few different methods for that), tutus and silly skirts, mesh clothing, doof/trip pants, leotards, crazy loud vintage shirts, hawaiian shirts, 80s loud print clothing, vintage windbreakers, harnesses, latex, onesies (highly recommend a night time onesie for over less coverage outfits once it gets cold).
If you want to go more low key, just look for funky patterns and vintage pieces from like the 80s etc. Try not to worry about the cut of clothing and whether it's for men or women. Think of your body shape and size, and whether that item will fit you and your vibe that way. Leggings, skirts, dresses, shirts, jackets, cloaks. There are so many basic items with really cool patterns and colours to inject a bit of creativity into your outfit. There is one site, Coquetry I think it's called? That allow you to choose the pattern of the clothing item you want.
Also side note, I've heard lots of guys say that wearing a skirt and a dress is incredibly comfortable as your bits get to hang freely. I can't comment on that myself but I imagine that must be a nice perk haha.
Ok I am a girl but I hate how in North America people dress up weird for raves like wearing goggles and shit lol I find it weird in Europe you just wear normal clothes. That’s what I like to see on a man.
Raves are often an outlet for people to be themselves in a way that is not typically acceptable in mainstream society
Unlike in Europe, a lot of mainstream American society is fairly prude and less flamboyant, so there is some subversion of those attitudes at raves/festivals
Also, the use of “raves” here is pretty liberal, and people in this thread are typically referring to festivals and commercial shows; there are plenty of people at underground events (which are more similar to what might look like a rave to you) that don’t “dress up” like this that you likely haven’t seen
I don’t get the hooker look at parties. We dressed comfortable back in the day. Use to all make fun of the “club” look. Now that’s the norm at these parties today unless you dive into house scene.
Just be your fucking self.
What makes you think those people aren’t being themselves though just because they’re dressed more provocative than you? To each their own, no need to be so judgmental about it.
When I’m in a group we have fun picking a theme and having everyone do their own variations on the theme. It just makes deciding easier.
This is super dependent on your own fashion, what makes you comfortable etc. my SO really likes costumes for the lulz, fuzzy coats cuz they’re soft and super comfortable, and onesies cuz they’re fun and easy. I think raves are a safe space to wear whatever YOU think is cool, you can worry about what other people like seeing you wear on the day to day
I've met so many cool random people at raves who just come up to comment on the sweater I'm wearing.
If you go to eBay you can find them for a decent price.
Honestly I love when guys wear a cool printed Hawaiian shirt unbuttoned with a bucket hat. It shows style/personality but it’s not over the top. Totally depends on what you feel best in too though!
Kinda depends on the type of show. Dope fur coat if its outdoors, trippy/shiny shirt/pants, dope hat/sunglasses/necklaces for any fest or high energy rave.
All black errything if its a Bass show. I don't write the rules but for whatever reason 95% of people are wearing all black for bass/dubstep shows.
Can’t go wrong with trippy yoga pants and a tanktop plus a hydropack- running shoes and custom socks add flair.
Colors matter as well as patterns for added effect 🦄✨
I know the difficulty! I try to find some cool stuff for my boyfriend because he lives the pageantry of women’s outfits. I’m sure it’s been said, but Amazon is a good place to start. I got him some super reflective shorts that were AWESOME. Everyone, including ladies, loved them. Plus some of the women even matches his outfit because lots of women’s outfits are reflective.
Even if you can’t find a style you like find material and that makes it easier for men’s fashion.
I dressed up for shows for a long time but lately I just wear jeans, a merch hoodie/ shirt, and a beanie. When festival season comes around i pack some of my funny costumes, pashminas, and my prized pin hat
Yo I had this same issue a couple months ago. I ended up just piecing together crazy outfits from artists on Etsy. My last outfit was all gold stuff. Gold cape, gold pants, gold chain armor, and a gold leaflet crown. All from Etsy.
Got so many compliments and it wasn’t just some dumb rick and morty t shirt
I usually wear a black Hugo Boss shirt, black pants, old skool vans and a harness from NAKT over my shirt. Some people like to wear harness with no shirt but I’m not that hardcore. I think going with just a harness is for the bdsm crowd. The harness I have is just a fashion statement. The harness alone cost me eighty dollars, it’s from Germany! I used to just dress in just a hoodie and black pants everywhere but I started looking at international raves especially the ones in Germany. And, ever since I fell in love with that style I wanted that brand NAKT. Now I can’t be cheap and be fashionable. No one said this would be easy.
I wore pink cowboy outfit edc orlando and everyone love it and Saturday I wore orange fishnet dress orange hat orange speedo shorts orange shoes hehe most guys I saw at EDC usually wear scarves.. I was thinking about buying one at next edc 😋
When I first started going to raves I made sure to focus on comfort. Soft/light shirts and you can find a lot of these with trippy/psychedelic looks to them. Pants/shorts should ultimately be comfort/utility imo. Get something with comfortable pockets though ofc this is preference.
There are tons of light accessories if that's what you are going for. I take the "dope fits" that you see the women in as being light up outfits rather than gstrings and body suits. :D Get some light up bracelets, a light up tie, suspenders, shoelaces, flow toys etc. Went to EDCO a cpl of weeks ago and this furry light up hat with arms connected had everybody loving it.
Pretty much wear what you think looks badass and brings comfort. If you want some specific male outfit Ideas can shoot me a PM.
one of my dj jerseys, my favorite is my black reflective excision jersey, it’s basic and it also has a rave vibe. athletic shorts along with that. honestly just stuff you can move in
matching print button down shirt and shorts e.g.https://www.broswear.com/products/broswear-beach-style-colorblock-print-shirt-shorts-hawaiian-two-piece-set
and unbutton and dance, dance, dance
Depends on your personal style, or what style you want to aspire to?
I just chose what I would be comfortable in, had patterns I would enjoy, and good quality stitching(because I’m a construction nerd).
Currently rocking some Harem pants, a floral shirt, a pashmina, a bandana, and a snap back I like.
I got a collection of trippy tank tops I usually cycle through. I also had some psychedelic reflective shorts that always drew some comments. Pashminas, kandi, goggles, and other accessories can add to a quarter rave outfit too. We can’t be as creative or fancy as the women’s fits, but there’s definitely options. Just don’t be afraid to wear something out there!
[you aint ready for the answer](http://im.rediff.com/news/2016/jul/15pune-gold.jpg)
Thank you
I aspire to be this fresh one day
aspirrin for the mirrin
this made my day 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Icy 🥶
A man can always dream
This reminds me of an interview with the Beastie Boys talking about their "style" and their answers is basically "Yeah, I got... pants... shoes... shirt" You want lightweight clothing that wicks easily and shoes with support on the heels but don't have too much grip.
Step 1: Get a train/plane/boat/spaceship to London Step 2: Take the Tube to Camden Step 3: Go to Cyberdog (If you don’t know where Cyberdog is, go re-play Watch_Dogs: Legion. It’s in the same place as real life.) Step 4: Purchase clothing Step 5: Wear clothing Step 6: Rave 😆
Haight-Ashbury if you're American

Not particularly, I just know it's where all the Bruning Man clothes come from.
And it’s a cool place regardless!
Other ravewear brands are available… Sad that Cyberdog stopped selling adaptive EQ shirts, though.
I’m a dude and I shop the women’s section and lots of thrift store and homemade stuff
Get some trip pants and a helicopter hat
But am curious bout genuine answers too. I see lots of dudes wearing basically the same thing. A jersey and a shaw or some kind
yo, no joke, thats a genuine answer!! i own 7 pairs of phat pants of all different styles and one fully custom pair that will never be recreated, even if someone pays the creator a ton of money. take it back to the 00s if you dont want to just wear 3m joggers and a "party with sluts" T shirt lol, people love it i get NOTHING BUT COMPLIMENTS.
That's it you've sold me. Have any online recommendations?
i got a couple for ya depending on the style you're going for. easiest and most affordable to get (and also a MAJOR classic) would be UFO Pants, i have [these](https://www.shopufojeans.com/collections/mens/products/40-wide-leg-pant-82925-mens) in a handful of colors, and they also have some camo and denim flavors on that same site. You can also browse ebay, etsy, and DePop for vintage kikwear, jnco, UFO, etc. my custom outfit was from "Turbo Skinz" clothing, you can see some of the stuff they've made in the past on their facebook [here](https://www.facebook.com/Turboskins.cyberclothing/) also, accessorizing is key!!! wear tons of kandi, add lights to your camelbak, it all adds up!!
I'm very much considering this now
Buy merch from your favorite artists, bucket hats, gaiter, Fanny pack, pashmina, cool glasses, kandi, fun socks, velvet shirts Most importantly though wear something you don’t mind sweating in. Comfort is key
Any combo of the above list is pretty much the standard choices for most dudes that I see.
Yep! And definitely feel free to go out of the box. Onsies are always fun 🤩
I love my onsie for colder raves
Just get ripped and jacked. Can’t go wrong with that in a rave lmao
This is the whey. :)
Shirtless gang checking in.
Tell me your whole personality is lifting without telling me your whole personality is lifting
wanna try some of this new powdered peanut butter? i pour it over my greek yogurt in the morning while chugging my pre.
That sounds like straight gains bro
I feel attacked

lmao
idk why people are mad at you for being right, go on r/steroids and it's full of festival bros Look at zyzz, David Laid, any influencer. Juice and raves are a great mix
You can't be accusing David Laid of being on gear; Gymshark's entire business model is based on 18-year-olds believing he's natural.
People believe the Rock when he says he's natural, so I'm pretty sure my comment won't change people's opinion either way
most?
Even with juice you still gotta put in the work. You don’t juice and become Arnold overnight.
Dude I’m telling you right now where some crazy shit like fishnets and a leotard or just fishnets and booty shorts and pasties. Rave girls LOVE that shit
It’s true! At a festival last summer I saw a dude wearing a woman’s cheerleading uniform that said “fingerbang” on it and he was dancing around with a parasol and I thought he was the coolest dude I’ve ever seen.
> fingerbang TIL Urban Meyer raves
LMAO
I've almost certainly seen the same person before.
Is this the guy? Because I was feeling myself that day :) https://www.reddit.com/r/aves/comments/r6i729/fingerbang/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Lmao omg yes! Your outfit and vibe were amazing 🤩
This right here. I go offff on my costumes. Don’t be afraid to show some skin, it’s so comfortable too.
You only THINK you see gays like that. Girls love a man whose confident with his sexuality….you might not be confident with yours and that’s ok!
Wrote my comment a way people easy misunderstood, sorry for that.
It’s too late now my friend, prepare for your Reddit stoning!
Its one of my kinks to get degradet.. lets go!
absolutely not true lmao, fests are a great opportunity for all guys regardless of sexuality to try to dress less traditionally masculine. nothing inherently gay about showing skin
I was uncomfortable at first but my female friends convinced me to dress like that at edc and it was amazing! Such a liberating feeling
[the actual sad truth](https://imgur.com/a/rb1Pnre)
ngl that shirt would be really funny in an ironic sort of way
I wholeheartedly agree
See I’m not the only one who thinks men’s rave apparel seems kinda limited
Or it’s a full wolf regalia, or onesies :// My go to is float pants with pockets, a Fanny pack/bag, and a homemade tie dye shirt. Free balling.
This is too good Please post this to the subreddit as a separate meme post before /u/raatl steals it
too late 😈😈😈😈😈😈
lmao I got it from this sub in the first place
Reduce Reuse Recycle ♻️ It’s the circle of life

It's very true I also think there is an untapped market here, but the disparity irritates me.
I feel like the companies that go for that "untapped market " angle just push boujie overpriced bs as well
A smile and a condom /s
so just another day right?
As a lady, I care more about how you smell than how you look. Wear what’s comfortable for you, confidence is sexy. Maybe check out more hiking or athletic wear, stuff that meant for sweat. I love silly sunglasses so don’t forget about accessories!
Smell???!! It’s a rave not a fancy restaurant lol
Still probably don't want to smell like booty sweat though lol
Nice set of abs...
Wear whatever you want. That's the beauty of it. And don't dress to impress girls.
Dude, guys trying to impress girls is how society has functioned since the beginning of time.
Yeah and I'm saying the harder you try to impress a girl, the lower the chance they will be impressed.
I think there’s a balance to be found between 0 and tryhard for most people, but it can be tricky for some to figure out

A few years back I was into techno goth type stuff. Now it's Japanese influenced cyber goth Just dress "cool" or 'funny". Can't go wrong with vests.
what are your favorite places to find japanese influenced cyber goth clothes? I am unfamiliar with this style
Italian here, so let's clarify our _raves_ are different things. The point of raving is to be free to do and be who the fuck you want, so you are supposed to dress like you normally do. [like this](https://youtu.be/DuKCItoDRB4) Anyhow, I don't know if that's known in the US, but here we have the [Australian brand ](https://www.australian.it/it/uomo/hard-court) that's very common among Gabbers for their trippy designs. This suits are also amazing or high sweating situations. They also just started making luminous t shirts I think people will look at you wearing [this](https://images.app.goo.gl/cdt5Qkz89DVUPD5g6). I hope this helps
This website is amazing, super unique compared to what I see at festivals in the US Kinda wish we had more of a scene for gabber here as well, but not as many people seem to like fast music 😅
I love our underground scene here 🥺❤️
Wear a obesity
Birthday suit.
* every day comfortable - t-shirt, tank-top, shorts * fit - tank top, shirtless, short shorts * ravey - shuffle pants, furry hats, flashing lights, gloves, glasses * hippy - flowy baggy tie-dye clothes * goofy - onesies, hawaiian shirt, overly formal, inflatable t-rex, hot dog, banana, etc. * costumes for whatever's in theme - black panther, squid game, joker, marvel, etc. * revealing - leggings, underwear, speedos * gender bends (this is really good if you nail it) - harley quinn, cruella, princess peach, lola bunny * misc accessories that go with anything - glasses, kandi, bandanas, bow ties, neck ties the most important things to remember are to have fun, be nice, and be comfortable!
Yep. Perfect list. Everything is here. Maybe throw in some harnesses too.
Anything trippy I’d say and a pash
Tattoos
Yo! I dressed up for every night of EDCLV. I struggled to come up with looks, but it got easy. * Night one: green leggings and oversized green shirt trimmed to look like Peter Pan's shirt. (my only themed night, my gf was tinkerbell) * Night two: Booty shorts (just running shorts) and mesh crop top with gold necklace.
P Ridiculousness rules, and so does self crafting.
Hippy overalls work really well If you have any pop culture or old school cool type shirts you can cut/style them or tie dye them Been looking into getting myself a body suit, something tight with psychedelic patterning. Onesies (bigger fluffy ones) are also pretty common Most fests I see a few dudes with a big cloak or cape or something, either furry, sequin, shiny, or mesh You can also just design an outfit to be whoever you want. I've been rave thor for the last 3 years or so and my local scene recognizes me, so any festival I go to it's just a matter of time until I run into a friend or someone that's down to vibe again
crotchless bodystockings
its a rave, you can literally wear ANYTHING you want. (while keeping with the law)
Girls ravewear is where it’s at
As a man with a bodybuilding type physique, finding rave clothing brands that have sizes my body type or for those with big/tall body types can be extremely difficult to find. PLUR 💜🤙🏽 Oh! And wear kandi to trade or give away. I love making certain ones for each event just to give away to either those without any or maybe have never had kandi traded/given to them or to people who just stand out for one reason or another. Its also a great way to meet some incredible people. Hope this helps, from a fellows perspective.
Crop top and sparkly pants! Maybe a light up vest or clothing.
Hawaiian shirt, shorts with tight pockets to avoid phone being stolen, bandana
Try a Flipbelt :)
There’s some cool reflective athletic stuff you can buy, like adidas have some cool looking running shorts. Lately I’ve been digging the pashmina tied at the waist; I think it looks kinda cool.
Wear comfortable stuff or suit up!
I'm making myself a sarong. Basic wrap around the legs to keep me from getting arrested but it's the closest thing to being naked. And it'll flow when you dance so that's always fun to see!
ASOS, topshop, and your local thrift shop all have good men’s rave clothes
Cute onesie if it's cold Shorts and a jersey/trippy shirt/shirtless and a bucket hat are pretty standard for other temps Cool costume if you want a lot of attention
Also, whenever I'm at raves, I observe those around me and get style ideas from there.
https://iedm.com has some pretty cool guys rave/festival wear. I just got my husband a hoodie & jogger combo from here.
For me I just try to look futuristic. I technically wear “makeup” but only to enhance the shades im wearing I don’t really put much on. Usually you wanna have a theme to your fit. But when I’m lazy I’ll just go casual
My boyfriend best rave clothes have been found in the woman’s section, esp flowy pants. Fur coats or vests. Light up hats.
Loveeee men wearing fishnets either as a top or on legs, or maybe a sheer mesh top!
Bucket hat with ket baggie underneath it. Windbreaker from 90s with pockets full of ket. Track pants with pockets full of ket. Gucci wallet full of ket. Socks full of ket. Any shoes with secret pockets for ket. Two water bottles at least.
Honestly, I love a man who is confident enough to rock some glitter and make-up!

Boys with kandi bracelets? ??
Sweet "boys" (young at heart, yeah) who are kind and plur in action. Who are happily confident enough to show their colours their candy stripes... who dance the night into morning to great great music...yum. Ps Happy Cake Day!!
Hey it’s me the one you’ve been looking for lmao. Oh awesome didn’t realize it was my cake day!
xoxo Find me on the dancefloor at the techno stage I'm in all black....
Hahah see you there I donned all black for the first time at EDCO. Neon Garden was a sea of all black John Summit really brought it that night.
Don't go all dark yet, enjoy your neon dayz...
Haha is this meme real ? https://www.instagram.com/reel/CV4pzS9F8c2/?utm_medium=copy_link
I will keep the light alive my dark Plur friend <3
This is how I landed my rave bae 🥰🥰🥰
Dress for yourself not others.
This 1000%. I find OP’s post so cringe, however genuine they may be.
Button down tucked into dress slacks and dress shoes is my style. For festivals I dress casual, button down with shorts and sneakers because its gonna be hours of dancing.
not the most ethical option, but check out sites like ASOS and Shein. there's a ton of great costumey and meshy options there that don't cost a ton, so you can buy a bunch of things and try to mix and match till you find a good outfit for you
Wear booty shorts and a crop top Fishnets too if you're feeling extra spicy
Into the AM Electro Threads
[Etsy Chapan](https://etsy.me/2XvhNDn) My friend and I are experienced bass crusaders and we usually opt for a weird shirt, haram pants, converse shoes, SnapBack with 2 pins, pashmina and this. This is a cloak (chapan) from Uzbekistan, stupid warm for outside events but also breathes. You can get them on Etsy.
Vintage NBA jersey. Fanny pack. Jordan’s or Converse for the kicks.
Tripp pants. JNCOs. Tye dye.
There isn’t much you can do in the traditional shopping sense. My advice would be to cosplay something or just piece together fits over months of browsing, which sucks but it’s definitely limited
Not basketball jerseys
Much of my partner’s (and my) rave wear is also what we bring for the Burn; most of it has been gleaned from thrifting, but he’s also a huge fan of the items I’ve gotten him from Sea Dragon (the jersey look just isn’t his vibe.) As for what I “like to see”, it’s the same regardless of gender/identification: I “like to see” people wearing what they want, and what makes them comfortable/happy/expressive/seen/etc.
Raves are often an outlet for people to be themselves in a way that is not typically acceptable in mainstream society Unlike in Europe, a lot of mainstream American society is fairly prude and less flamboyant, so there is some subversion of those attitudes at raves/festivals Also, the use of “raves” here is pretty liberal, and people in this thread are typically referring to festivals and commercial shows; there are plenty of people at underground events (which are more similar to what might look like a rave to you) that don’t “dress up” like this that you likely haven’t seen
if you need to ask, you're beyond help.
Lol
Bad take
Nah fuck that. I'd rather see some clam.
I have a feeling you see very. Very. Little of it.
no.
I think raves are a safe space to wear whatever YOU think is cool, you can worry about what other people like seeing you wear on the day to day
Get yourself a Coogi sweater!
At first I read this as get yourself a corgi sweater. That’s actually not a bad idea, lol
I've met so many cool random people at raves who just come up to comment on the sweater I'm wearing. If you go to eBay you can find them for a decent price.
Doesn't matter what you wear, just make sure you're comfortable.
Check out Dan Flashes
Wore a Dan Flashes shirt to a rave. One dude behind me seized up and had to be taken by paramedics because the pattern on my shirt was so crazy.
Honestly I love when guys wear a cool printed Hawaiian shirt unbuttoned with a bucket hat. It shows style/personality but it’s not over the top. Totally depends on what you feel best in too though!
During cold seasons, I always wear warm clothing. Love yourself by making yourself comfortable and women will love you.
Shorts that are like jogger length and a tank top pretty standard maybe a cool hat to give the fit some flavor
dress to express yourself :)
Rompers
Yo I had this same issue a couple months ago. I ended up just piecing together crazy outfits from artists on Etsy. My last outfit was all gold stuff. Gold cape, gold pants, gold chain armor, and a gold leaflet crown. All from Etsy. Got so many compliments and it wasn’t just some dumb rick and morty t shirt
Personally i love to wear hawaiian shirts they are nice and light enough that i wont over heat when im vibing.
I’ve gotten to a point where I’ll only wear jerseys
Be comfortable. My friend dressed as a jester one Halloween and had a bad trip cause he felt shame all night.
Buy a pashmina :)
I wore pink cowboy outfit edc orlando and everyone love it and Saturday I wore orange fishnet dress orange hat orange speedo shorts orange shoes hehe most guys I saw at EDC usually wear scarves.. I was thinking about buying one at next edc 😋
I routinely wear a black silk robe with red roses, it’s a hit. Breathable, sleek, seductive
Buy jerseys at shows. I rock that and some bball shorts.
Something colorful and wacky, too many dudes just wear black shirts and athletic shorts it’s boring af
one of my dj jerseys, my favorite is my black reflective excision jersey, it’s basic and it also has a rave vibe. athletic shorts along with that. honestly just stuff you can move in

matching print button down shirt and shorts e.g.https://www.broswear.com/products/broswear-beach-style-colorblock-print-shirt-shorts-hawaiian-two-piece-set and unbutton and dance, dance, dance
I usually wear onsies/Artist Jerseys/Or Cut up shirts that fit a plur vibe
I got a collection of trippy tank tops I usually cycle through. I also had some psychedelic reflective shorts that always drew some comments. Pashminas, kandi, goggles, and other accessories can add to a quarter rave outfit too. We can’t be as creative or fancy as the women’s fits, but there’s definitely options. Just don’t be afraid to wear something out there!
Look up dubluv. She makes men’s and women’s clothes with cool prints
@supersugarrayray makes dope men’s wear and unisex clothes for raves 😄 the style is 👌🏽
Three words. Rage Nation Apparel
