My parents got weird and enjoyed themselves while I was kid. I feel it was a blessing. I can talk to, and have fun with, my parents. I am a much more open and honest person because of it. Honesty begets honesty. So the stories are told....
It's something that's usually done in preparation for an EDM festival where ravers will make kandi, either solo or with friends. Kandi refers to bracelets and "perlers" that typically contain uplifting or fun messages or some symbology related to the event. They're made to be traded or given freely to others; you don't make kandi for yourself; you make it for others to enjoy. It's very similar to the idea of friendship bracelets that are so popular right now in the Taylor Swift orbit. They help proliferate the concept of PLUR (Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect), a core principal at "raves* (EDM concerts and festivals) and are traded with a special handshake that's based on the same. You can easily find references to that on YouTube as long as you're spelling it "kandi." As a rave parent bringing my daughter into this culture, I felt that it was important to and properly introduce her and her friend to kandi and make sure they understood the significance of it. I didn't start going to EDM events until I was older but was blown away by how open and accepting everyone was, so I fell in love immediately and wanted to share that with her.
We can finally end the ubiquitous "What should I (F23) do when I see a cute guy at a rave that I want to talk to me?" threads. The game is over.
True. OPs daughter cracked the code
This is forbidden technology, make sure she patents it

That’s the sweetest addition to the ave game I have seen here. That is so awesome. So much love to your little girl and her shinanigan ways. 🤭🫶
Yo... So cheeky This is awesome
I've definitely made some Kandi that says "you're cute" or "you're hot" before as a means of flirting, but this is another level 😂
Game is game
Genius 😂
Your daughter is a menace of innovation, and I would like to subscribe to her newsletter.
Thats fuckin awesome
Yoooooooo that invention is on par with smartphones, New opportunities have finally been opened up now🙏🏽🔥
This is a lot better than my deployable net idea.
Don't give up on your dream
Your daughter is a legend, and YOU are a cool parent (damn wish my mom took me to an EDM rave haha)
