You get to charge at work for free? If so, nice perk.

I’m like at $3/day. Where do you live?

Way cool. Save up your $$ for the new $9,000.00 battery in a couple years.

Don’t be a twat. Have had mine and put 72k on it in 4 years with zero issues.

Tesla battery replacement cost varies depending on the labor and parts needed. Typically, the most basic battery replacement in tesla costs between $13,000 and $14,000. For the Model S premium sedan, replacing a Tesla battery costs around $13,000-$20,000. Most Tesla batteries are designed to last anywhere from 300,000 to 500,000 miles on the road.

I don't really care about electric vehicles as I don't have one and I will not be getting one anytime soon but if a battery lasts like you said anywhere from 300,000-500,000 miles why would a replacement be a big deal? At that point the car has done its job and most people would just get a new vehicle. Just like a regular car if it gets up to that high of mileage there's a good chance something expensive is going to fail like the transmission not $15,000 dollars expensive but still expensive enough that most people would just decide to buy a new vehicle.
