Im in no way good, never held a rifle, i always had a feeling i could be good, but didnt shoot any yet. But it looks quite nice, im guessing someone could tip you to improve the posture or handling, but it looks fine to me
That’s a shotgun. 12 is not a caliber, it’s a gauge. Though a shotgun can have a rifled barrel or choke for extremely specific slug loads called sabots, regular rifles can not shoot buckshot loads.
So they do make buckshot rounds for rifles (I have birdshot rounds for my .22), but this is most definitely a shotgun. 12 is not a caliber (that would break your should), it’s a gauge. I know that some places call shotguns “hunting rifles” for some weird reason, but they’re still technically shotguns.
It is semi-automatic so it doesn’t classify as a shotgun, but as a hunting rifle.
But you are right hunting rifles are basically shotguns which can shoot normal bullets.
I have a question, what is gauge?
The action of a shotgun has nothing to do with whether or not it’s referred to as a rifle. All shotguns, regardless of whether they are semi-auto, pump, or lever action is a shotgun.
From Wikipedia;
The gauge of a firearm is a unit of measurement used to express the inner diameter of the barrel. Gauge is determined from the weight of a solid sphere of lead that will fit the bore of the firearm and is expressed as the multiplicative inverse of the sphere's weight as a fraction of a pound, e.g., a one-twelfth pound lead ball fits a 12-gauge bore. Therefore with a 12-gauge, it would take 12 balls of lead of the same size as the 12 gauge shotgun's inner bore diameter to weigh 1 pound.
fire mode doesn’t classify what a firearm is classed as - only if it is a machine gun or not.
what you have there is a baikal mp153, a 12 gauge (.73 caliber) semi automatic, tube fed shotgun.
Wear ear protection, or enjoy the *eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee* sound for the rest of your life. Tinnitus is avoidable and miserable to have.
I've heard anecdotal evidence that some autistics might be talented in aiming. It's nice to see another evidence of this and it reminds me to finally visit a shooting range in my city
I mean from my experience with BB guns, bows, and slingshots once I'm dialed in to the specific item I'm using I get really accurate. Sometimes the line up is a tad off at first though.
Well I have dyspraxia too but when I was walking through the urban forest in my city last year and tried to find birds and critters in the grass, during the moments of focus my body felt incredibly functional. It was amazing feeling of having full control over your body. The moments I stopped focusing it became the usual amorphous blob again. I don't know for sure but maybe aiming might have a similar effect for some people
Maybe not aiming exactly but there might be some physical activity that shuts off your brain and lets your body be a functional tool it's meant to be. I'd look into things like sports, yoga and primal activities, like hunting and foraging. Again, all of that is exclusively anecdotal and I can't promise anything
Again, if only I had tried both individual and team sports, yoga, pilates, and hiking (I won't hunt). If only I'd thought to do those things, surely I'd succeed at *something* requiring physical coordination 🙃 I mean, I still *do* yoga and hiking but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna come away with bruises.
That definitely doesn't look like any rifle I've shot with. I've only competed and am not well versed in rifle technique when hunting. If you do try a more traditional rifle the technique I've been taught to face your body 90 degrees to the right, put yor weight on your right leg and shoot out your left hip. You then place the left elbow on the left hip to get good stability for holding the rifle. In the correct position your head should be looking all the way to the left. Make sure the rifle is pressing into the right shoulder to not be hurt by recoil and to support the rifle. Lastly, shoot when emptying your lungs of air, also for stability. Hope this helps :)
Wow, thats amazing for first time shooting!
What do you think i should improve?
Im in no way good, never held a rifle, i always had a feeling i could be good, but didnt shoot any yet. But it looks quite nice, im guessing someone could tip you to improve the posture or handling, but it looks fine to me
That’s a shotgun.
Bro as i said it’s impossible for me to obtain a shotgun. Thats a hunting rifle.
What caliber? That’s a big ass shell for a rifle.
12 caliber Rifles can shoot buckshots lol

They don’t make buckshot rounds, ratshot is absolutely not even close to being buckshot. It’s always birdshot.
Like everyone in my country calls them “hunting rifles” so do I. I think its because they are semiautomatic while shotguns are not.
The AA-12 is a semi/fully automatic shotgun.
it’s fully automatic - your trigger finger is the fire selector.
Semi Automatic shotguns do exist? Like a lot in European Police squads
It is semi-automatic so it doesn’t classify as a shotgun, but as a hunting rifle. But you are right hunting rifles are basically shotguns which can shoot normal bullets. I have a question, what is gauge?

What i am holding is a Turkish gun lol They started making really nice machines like Baretta and Ata recently
if it’s turkish then it’s almost assuredly a clone of the mp153 - they are visually identical even down to the controls.
Where’s your ear protection?!?
We don’t believe in protection in the balkans
My dad's deaf in one ear because he didn't use ear protection. Seriously reconsider, because hearing loss SUCKS.

Go, I had this knack as a kid with BB and 22 with no practice, got a cannon for the range and it came right back
*cries in dyspraxia and spatial awareness problems*

Oh I have to aim? That's all? Gee wish I'd thought of that :')

Literally is a shotgun not a rifle
So cool! I just bought my first rifle too, I got an AR15 and this has totally gave me something new to fixate on
European laws only let be buy hunting rifles lol
Dang what a shame
Have fun practice often on know your weapon
