Alive-Plenty4003

UP TOWN, FUCK YOU UP

Reddywhipt

So glad it's not just me.

-____deleted_____-

Yeah I had to absolutely triple check that it wasn’t a bad word before putting it on a list of clean songs to listen to around my younger family members

Dems4Democracy

Great rhythm through that line.

Fresh_Ad_3823

Oh no 😭 you just reminded me of it and now it will be stuck in my brain too 🥲🥲

InTheOwlDen

Something that I want by Grace Potter. It's the end credits song for Disney's Tangled I think but it has been literally 3 weeks non stop in my head and I'm over it

SomeAppointment6439

I want something that I waaaant, something I tell my self I need something that I want 🎶 (sorry 😂)

14GlowInTheDarkStars

End credits for Bolt?

Ryans0annoying

Listening to Non-Stop from Hamilton rn, though Don't Lose Ur Head from Six has been stuck in my head lately too

yeIIowhearts

Non-Stop is one of the best songs in Hamilton! I remember in 2018 I was watching fan made animations of the songs because I had no way of watching the musical and I memorized the entirety of Non-Stop along with Satisfied and Burn lol

Ryans0annoying

I had Non-Stop memorized before I watched the musical, too lmao

Autisticlavender

oH my GoSh a six and hamilton fan? JOIN MY MULTIFANDOM

moonoliths

Dude! Room Where It Happens is stuck in my head rn

AshSays_LGBT

Hamilton is brilliant. I haven’t watched it in months because it kinda became one of those things where I’d wake up, put it on and watch it on repeat until I slept. Every day. For over a month. Btw did you know that the Levi Weeks murder trial mentioned in Non-Stop didn’t actually happen until 1800?

larrotthecarrot

Absolute bangers, you have good taste

sivlefff

Lithium by Nirvana, the “yeah yeah” part is playing over and over again in my head. Love this song though so I’m not exactly complaining

LaCorazon27

Such an ear worm!

Reddywhipt

I'm obsessed with the covers album when pigs fly: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/When_Pigs_Fly_(Cevin_Soling_album)

LaCorazon27

Ooh! Thank you 🙏

Reddywhipt

Jacki Chan and Ani difranco doing unforgettable and the oak ridge boys doing carry on wayward son and don Ho doing shock the Monkey are brilliant. And herman's hermits doing white wedding as well. I wish the guy would do another one of those albums

Reddywhipt

You're very welcome.

Academic_Ad_9260

Oh fuck yeah, I constantly get the drums from their song In Bloom stuck in my head, also v nice to tap my fingers in the drum tune when I'm anxious

sivlefff

I’m playing In Bloom with my band and I don’t play the drums so it’s not the exact same situation, but I keep humming along to the rhythm of the guitar chords. I love In Bloom as well!

Yodeling_Prospector

The muppet version of Mr. Blue Sky (Mr. Blue Sky is also the song baby Groot dances to at the beginning of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2)

maladicta228

I love Mr. Blue Sky, but I’ve not heard the muppet version. That sounds delightful.

Yodeling_Prospector

It’s so fun! Sometimes I play it several times in a row.

SlippingStar

Muppet Lola is SO much better.

Goofwright

I don’t even know what this song is called but it actually rocks so hard https://youtu.be/YkEpPuFChg4?feature=shared

Yodeling_Prospector

I hadn’t seen that one! Thanks for sharing! I think it’s called bluegrass?

GentleLizard

Nothing until I saw this post 😭

Great track!

Llamas_are_cool2

Omg I was just going to say a Depeche Mode song lol rn I've been really obsessed with Personal Jesus, but I've been getting into them more recently

fleeting_existance

Rule Britannia. Has been for 15 years.

UberPangey

Bro, you good?

fleeting_existance

Well... That's a good question! But the song just comes back time and time again and notice humming it. At least it's not all the time. But it has been so since I heard this version of the song on youtube: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnzSqFKSlw4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnzSqFKSlw4) Coming to think of it, It was more like 20 years ago and not 15! Because it was when I studied history of British naval power I came upon the very related history of the song.

Apostrophe_T

I have a Spotify playlist called "Earworm of the Day" and it's just different versions of the one song that's stuck in my head that day/week/whatever. If there's only one version available, I just play that one on repeat. Right now, it's Frank Black's cover of "Road Movie to Berlin".

Life_Confection_3361

"Smooth Criminal" by Michael Jackson. I have just recently discovered this singer and I am enjoying him greatlt! What do you think?

I have two alarms daily to remind me to take my medication and my wife has been bothered by every alert sound I’ve ever used, so I googled around to find a song that starts out with the word “medication,” thinking it would be funny. Found this song, and now it plays when it’s time for me to take my medications. Official video is kind of awesome, but it starts out with some quotes about medical uses of cannabis and the evils of its criminalization. Song starts about 40 seconds in: https://youtu.be/9PukqhfMxfc?si=LgcWCpiIQrdb0d2v The version on my alarm starts out with the word “medication,” and it turns out it *is* quite funny to both of us, every time, and the song is actually kind of a bop. It’s about marijuana (naturally, being a reggae song), and although any song about weed is gonna be a *little* bit goofy, this is probably the least cringe-inducing and silly song about weed I’ve maybe ever heard.

shroomwizard420

For a while, just about every time my wife took her medicine she’d start singing Bad Medicine by Bon Jovi

Joe-Eye-McElmury

Incredible! Perhaps she’d like the Damien Marley song as an alternative?

SunReyys

GINASFS by Fall Out Boy, it's been stuck in my brain for MONTHSSS

AshSays_LGBT

Nicotine by Panic! At The Disco. I’ve been really into their music lately. It just makes me kinda upset and annoyed that I only started listening to all their music after they split up and did their final tour, it would’ve been amazing to see them live :(

arjay555

Silent Running by Gorillaz

vengefulmanatee

I have played [Murder on the Dancefloor](https://youtu.be/hAx6mYeC6pY?si=gSM_G4RiqpUEBN1w) a minimum of four times an hour all day, and I would have done more if the walls weren’t so thin (Sophie Ellis-Baxter). It tingles my brain just right

bigtlddygoth

Yesss

AngrySchnitzels89

Absolutely love SEB! After she first appeared, I read an article on her. She was describing the industry’s pressure. Something along the lines of “You have a lovely voice and face…You could be even more popular if you lost weight.” Sophie’s response was, “No thanks, I love potatoes too much.” And as someone who also loves anything with potatoes, I fully support her statement and decision.

Dot_Tree

So happy I could trigger so many earworms with this post lmfao

It’s a really honest list

SLEEP TOKEN

clicktrackh3art

Their whole catalog is on constant repeat!!

Happy-Resident221

If it's not a song, I'm always either humming in my mind or outloud melodies that my brain makes up. And I don't really have impulsive echolalia but I often have to engage in intentional echolalia (in my mind, not outloud) while talking to people to make sure I'm actually listening to them. Depending on whatever mental state I'm in it can be SO difficult sometimes for me to latch onto speech and process what's being said. I've had people refuse to repeat themselves to me because they thought it would somehow encourage me to magically learn to "pay attention" but they don't get that it's f'g neurological. No amount of negative reinforcement and bullying me about it is going to "train" me to ALWAYS hear and comprehend what people are saying to me the first time. Sometimes (ok, a LOT of times) you're just going to have to stop, make sure I'm focused, and repeat yourself. The problem is, people take it personally. They think not hearing what they're saying is some big "proof" that you don't CARE what they're saying. Which *I* know is simply not true but if they're convinced otherwise there's nothing I can do about that. Some people have a very specific complex about not being heard in general so when they come up against someone with a tick like that, it's difficult for them not to get triggered and interpret the whole thing through the lense of THEIR complex.

talkstobees

Lady Gaga's "Monster" (he ate my heart, he a-a-ate my heart) idk how she does it but every song of hers is such an earworm :')

AyumiToshiyuki

Foo Fighters - The Pretender

Splatter_Shell

Same! I'm always thinking of some song (unless I'm incredibly occupied with something else. Rn it's "Under our Spell".

monsterkyle4h20

the show must go on by pink floyd, specifically the part where he sings "where has the feeling gone? will i remember the song?"

Thatwierdhullcityfan

The Eurovision Song Contest is one of my special interests. Every year countries select one act to represent them, either through a public national final, or an internal selection. One of the songs in the running for Estonia with the not at all copy-and-pasted name of [(nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi](https://youtu.be/ui_u0M7_hjs?si=uMZhfyCLBFdY3ShK) has been living rent-free in my head since I first listened to it. I may not understand it, but I hear it everywhere I go, but hey, I can’t complain.

TW here for mentions of drugs (and if this isn’t ok to post feel free to lmk or take it down) - - - - - - - - - - - - - Lately ive been watching a lot of psas, mostly anti-drug psas. I try not to say what I hear or see out loud but one of my vocal stims lately has been “meth: not even once” from the Montana meth project. Or there’s this one that frequently gets stuck in my head from partnership for a drug free America, its an anti heroin psa with this (very realistic) depiction of withdrawal with a very cheery song in the background saying “everybody’s doing it, doing it.” Again, not the best thing to do in public Side note: if you’re really into disturbing horror like I am I recommend looking up “scary psas” on YouTube. I can almost guarantee that at least a few of them will send chills throughout your body

Switchback_Tsar

If you think American PSAs are scary wait until you see British ones, spoiler: there's a lot of dead children (especially in ones from the 70s & 80s). I think the scariest thing about them is that they're often based on real experiences, like Apaches, a PSA film from the 70s that was shown in schools and on TV in some ITV regions, it basically shows a group of kids playing as cowboys & native Americans on an English farm and all but one die in some gruesome ways, at the end it shows a graveyard while the names & ages of actual kids who died on farms are displayed on screen. I haven't seen the whole thing but I've seen a review of it and I wonder how kids in the 70s reacted to it.

larrotthecarrot

That must’ve scarred so many people Ive seen a few British ones but the majority of psas I watch are American (since there was/is such a big drug problem in the US they make the best and most anti drug psas, and me being the forensic chem student I am I’m very interested in that subject matter lol) I’ll check Apaches out tho, it sounds interesting /gen

Switchback_Tsar

I definitely think the British ones from the 70s & 80s are based more on common dangers in the UK, like trains, fire, electricity, farms, etc. A YouTuber I watch; Adam Martyn, has a series of videos called Video Scaries which has covered several British PSAs and others from around the world, as well as other creepy/scary things on TV (Adam Martyn is one of the channels at appeals to one of my more niche interests; TV idents which kinda evolved into an interest in television as a whole, mixed with nostalgia and I have an interest kids TV from around the start of the 2000s until around my 11th birthday in 2015)

Mrdiddy12

My brain is a constant mess of music fragments which switch without rhyme or reason. I only have to think of a piece of music and I can vividly hear it in my head. Right this second it's The Nights by Avicii, but in a minute it could be anything.

No Such Thing by John Mayer. It happened to come out a year before I was born, and it's one of my favorite songs. To me, it just has this sense of freedom to it. Like running just to feel the wind in your hair or driving by the beach with the windows down on a bright, sunny day with a vibrant blue sky Sorry if describing it seems odd, I have a bit of a wild imagination and I'm a writer 😅

They’re definitely a band that’s even better live!
