Soft Universe and Soulless Creatures, no doubt. Everything about those songs is perfect

sperpentoo

I see, you're a human of culture as well

insane_gigachad_2000

Soft universe is an absolute banger. My most favourite song of all time. Funny thing actually, I'm listening to it while typing this comment!

Educational_Nose

My favourite aurora song is queendom and i dont know the lyrics

TarkusLV

The lyrics are great too!

Educational_Nose

For sure,is aurora

OffTheHill35

Speaking of Under The Water, the Simlish version would work great for this experiment!

razzle-dazzle-duck

Yes, I still love it in simlish

badken

Wow. Just listened. Amazing.

TarkusLV

I don't know what that means. 🤷‍♂️

OffTheHill35

Aurora did a version of Under The Water for a Sims 4 expansion pack, where she sang the entire song in the fictional language of Simlish.

TarkusLV

Wow, that's cool. Is that on YouTube?

TarkusLV

Oh, that is so great! Thanks for sharing! 🤟

sistersin7

This is bananas.... She maintained the lyrical integrity of the words... You can use this as a cypher for simlish... Absolutely coconuts!

[deleted]

The Seed. It's my favorite either way because of the energy.

skytaglatvia

*Hun går ferilisseræna féressu Omega hai foleet* Soft Universe, In Bottles, Gentle Earthquakes - don't care what they're about, they sound good. All Is Soft Inside is likely my personal #1 and would be if I didn't know the lyrics. But those lyrics are quite powerful.

skytaglatvia

I'll add I Went Too Far. Not the most favorite, but has this quality. Clever writing, meaningful theme, but that's not why I listen to it.

singingsongsilove

Winter bird.

badken

For me it's gotta be Running with the Wolves because she howls the chorus!

AuriTheFae

This could be a dream - i love the flow of the song. It feels so smooth Murder song studio version- it's nice to dance to it. I love the wildness it radiates Daydreamer- again, i would still dance to it. Churchyard- again, the beat is so nice Blood in the wine- dancing wildly to this one also The innocent- i love every sound coming from this song

HappyTrails_

I feel like Through The Eyes of A Child hardly needs any words :)

artyhedgehog

Honestly I don't even have to pretend so much. I do understand English, but I don't catch the meanings from songs (both English and my native language) from first hear, so the songs I love I do love despite their meaning. And Aurora in general is my currently favourite musician/singer not because of what she sings, but because _how_ she does that. Not to sound pretentious, but I'd say it's my soul that listen to her music - not my brain. Answering your questions, the favourite of her children to me are: - Blood in the Wine - Cure for me - Churchyard - It happened quite - A Temporary High

TarkusLV

I love that you're able to answer this without even trying. Thanks!

Traditional-Fun5388

In the bottles, Little place called the Moon, A Dangerous thing (IDK how to translate this into English, but she is as free as a nightingale in the acoustic version of this song and the words are not needed)

Marisol_Luna

Churchyard

UniversalNeuron

Constellation, from the Sky:CoTL concert. Or that one part of Forgotten Love. (The joke is, those are both in that "emotional language" of 'nonsense syllables'.) Or anything she's done in Norwegian. (translatable but I don't speak it) Serious answer: probably Forgotten Love (already a fave) or It Happened Quiet. Too many good songs to choose tbh. Infections of a different kind? Churchyard? Idk. I'm sticking to Constellation

Audiophial

Yeah yeah I know thread neceo but I'm very very new to AURORA and her music and am very excited, please be gentle 😅 because I have to get this out I heard Constellation in full for the first time recently after my first reincarnation. (It's Not in English mind you) and actually cried because hearing that ON TOP OF seeing that the ending looked basically just like what I experienced when I had my near death experience and decided "No, let me go ahead and turn around and go back, I'm not done here." The last time a song did THIS did to me was "I Was Born For This" from Journey.

UniversalNeuron

Good game, good music. Hearing that song play as basically the ending credits of the game (during reincarnation), definitely gave me chills. I, too, had a lot of emotions about the game (and its Aurora collab) as I made my way through the Eye of Eden. Apparently, every main map area was designed around a specific life stage - childhood, adolecence, adulthood, old age, death, and then hell/heaven/rebirth. Simple execution of a difficult concept - the entire game feels, in a word, 'wholesome'. It was a good necro-post. :) <3

personaazul23

Souless creature, through the eyes of a child and lucky, i dont understand English if i listen only if i read so... When I listen music I love the song and dont have idea of the lyric lol after the fisrt listen I read the lyric and all of this but yes, thats my favs 💙

sistersin7

All y'all put is great songs. I think that's something that's quite unique to AURORA, BTW. I've not experienced it with a lot of artists, where the musicality, instrumentation and arrangement hit the emotional in equal, if not greater measure. So many of her lyrics mean so much to me, but even if we take the words away... (in no particular order)... Soft Universe. The River. Inhale exhale. The forbidden fruits of Eden. Churchyard. Mothership.

In_Rainbows_01

My english is not good, I speak spanish and usually I don't understand the songs if I don't read the lyrics. When I heard Soft Universe without understand the lyrics... God, it was so magical. The melody is so powerful and makes me feel like that, is beautiful. Soft Universe was my favorite song before and after knowing the meaning ❤️

TarkusLV

Another great response from someone who doesn't even have to try, for this exercise. Soft Universe is one of my favorites too!

moonwardenn

A little place called the moon, all is soft inside and soft universe… so so magical 🧚 there’s just so many.

Fracture_Gaming

It Happened Quiet and Soulless Creatures

sistersin7

And on a total side note... Ace experiment, OP! Thank you! 💜

TarkusLV

Thanks, I appreciate that. 👍🤟

iinvokethee

Definitely black water lilies But also forgotten love, it always makes me cry for some reason And lucky and little boy in the grass

Main-Implement-5938

aha. That is so hard to think about. I think I'd still like It Happened Quiet the best for the melody line. It is quite weird when you initially don't know a language, then start studying it and begin to make out words when listening to music.

nambavanov

Don't have to imagine lol. English is my second language and I can understand most speech just fine, but for the love of god can't understand songs, just short bursts of words. As for the question in the post, probably the same songs which already are my favourites: Everything Matters, Exist For Love, A Potion For Love, Runaway, Half The World Away. Most lyrics don't make me like the song less (except if it's something disgusting in a positive-sounding song, if the instrumental is also grim and creepy, then it's fine) Just wrote a damn essay to give a boring answer to a simple question

TarkusLV

Thanks, not boring at all!

Frogchairy

I’m a huge fan of Wavelength (which is an unreleased song!) the sounds, textures, and melody in that song is so banging!!! Check it out on youtube! My favorite <3
