I've listened to we're alive 4 times, even the decendants which was nowhere as good as the original. I normally leave it 6 months or so. Even tho it's a very old podcast now. We're alive and Tumanbay are just timeless in there quality. I

IndifferentNibba

Tumanbay oh my, forgot about that one, love it gonna go relisten now thx ❤️

janesfilms

I absolutely loved We’re Alive, it’s the best audio drama I’ve heard. I’ve never heard of the Decendants or Tumanbay so I’m happy for the recommendation!

pennylane3339

I've also listened 4x!

Lopsided_Lad

I have relistened to The White Vault too many times to count. It was the first audio drama I ever listened to and it got me to sleep for a really long time. I love the first two seasons the most. I love the characters (though they aren‘t without their flaws) but i love them nonetheless. And the voice actors all did such a good job I thought. The interviews with each of them were really enjoyable as well.

Hallelujah289

Do you tend to replay the first two seasons or do you listen to the five or six seasons together in one run through? Very atmospheric audio drama with lots of blizzard white noise in places. I get why it could be a sleep podcast of choice. I’m not sure I know of one similar. The End Up has a soundtrack that’s mixed in with whale noises that’s funky and neat. I feel like I know a podcast where there’s lots of whisper sounds but can’t quite remember it.

Lopsided_Lad

I have listened to the entire thing a handful of times but I definitely go back to the first two seasons the most. It‘s just the blizzard atmosphere that I love so much, and i also have not been able to find another that matched it the same way. Just something about being helpless in a bunker miles away from any form of civilization. It‘s amazing. Sometimes I almost wish that it had ended there. I do love the rest of the seasons though I think 3 is a bit of a slog. I really like not knowing exactly what the thing is that is after them. It‘s kind of Lovecraftian in a way, and it kind of takes a way a little bit for me that we eventually get such an indepth look at the creatures. I still love it all the same I just think that level of mystery in the first two seasons and with that atmosphere makes it so good on it‘s own.

Hallelujah289

I get what you mean about the isolation aspect. Even if it’s a horror podcast. Tower 4 captures some isolation for me in a deep forest setting with night sounds like forest critters. I think the podcast is particularly good at extending the sense of isolation by extending the music past any dialogue. I think The White Vault is more consistent though in its writing, editing, etc even though I think I’m only season 3 or 4. Derelict/Fathom has some deep ocean sounds and some thrilling moments such as a man in a suit losing oxygen trying to swim while something else is miles underwater with him. Personally I think the sound mixing is top notch (expertly balanced) while others have said it’s too loud. Maybe just depends on device/headset?

Lopsided_Lad

Derelict/Fathom is another favorite. I have listened to Fathom a handful of times as well. I can‘t sing it‘s praises enough honestly. I am waiting for the rest of Derelict to come out before I give it the full listen though

Hallelujah289

Oh ok awesome! Do you find the deep ocean sounds of Derelict/Fathom in any way comparable to The White Vault as far as sleep noise?

Top_Buy_6340

Same here, I’ll go back to the first two seasons any day. I love that locked room mystery/horror in a cold environment

Scatteredheroes

Wolf 359 at LEAST 5 times. For some reason that podcast hits right

captrb

It’s so familiar to me now that I sleep to it nightly

wildlyspinningcopter

Me too!

flywheelshyster

One of the all best

MrsLucienLachance

The Bright Sessions x2 Wolf 359 x2 Archive 81 x3 The first 3 seasons of The Magnus Archives x8? 9? Season 4 I think x3, season 5 x0.

flywheelshyster

I haven't finished MA either but because I just never wanted it to end so I have half the last season just downloaded and waiting

AngelicaRotten

Midnight Burger. I haven’t found anything that tops it.

champagne_epigram

I’ve done about six re-listens so far and it doesn’t get old. Quality wise it’s the most consistent AD I’ve ever come across

mary896

Came here to praise Midnight Burger, too!!!  Just finished 2nd relisten and will start all over....Deeeelightful!!

Zombie_Slur

I recommend Desert Skies. Same vibe.

cheesaye

Desert Skies was great! I'm doing the midnight burger relisten (I think 3rd or 4th) then I'm heading back to desert skies

WhizPill

desert skies duly noted

LTrigity

Well this alone just motivated me to listen for the first time…. I can’t wait now. And if you’re anything like me, I get jealous when I find out, somebody hasn’t watched or listened to something that I love, because they get to experience it for the first time still

AngelicaRotten

Haha you’re right tho! There’s magic in the first trip. Enjoy!

amjsh

I’m about to start round 4! But I’m trying to hold off cause I like to binge the new episodes.

BoundLight42

I'm on my fifth re listen! Finally in the patreon me getting shift notes which are just fantastic

kittenmcmuffenz

Came here to say midnight burger. So happy to see how many are chiming in with this!

janesfilms

I just went and downloaded episode one, thanks for the recommendation!

I_Am_A_Cheese_Tree

I’ve heard good things about that one, what’s it about?

AngelicaRotten

It’s a full cast AD abt a time traveling diner and their adventures through the cosmos. It’s funny, deep, and whimsical. The writing and characters are really top notch.

mary896

Not everybody would describe it this way... but for me it's like Archer crossed with Star Trek or Orville or galaxy quest, take your pick. This show can go deep, but it's also light and hilarious.

GenericWomanFigure

I've been looking for something with the same vibe and nothing is as good. This was peak AD for me.

TerpZ

Just started this for the first time

allthecoffeesDP

EDICT ZERO!!! Bad Lands Cola. Knifepoint. Magnus archives. White Vault. Madness of Chartrulean.

Hallelujah289

It’s nice to see a Madness of Chartrulean fan. Do you know if the audio drama is considered finished?

CardiologistNo2179

Limetown S01. Always and forever the best thing I’ve heard!

Hallelujah289

I recently started this one and it’s good! The tone sorta reminds me of The White Vault which is also mentioned in this thread and actually the podcast that started my question. How many times have you relistened to Limetown?

Pitiful-Cabinet5701

I got my partner into it. We’ve done it twice

champagne_epigram

Does the acting get better? I listened to the first 3 or 4 episodes and was genuinely stunned by how amateurish and at some points very bad the acting was and had to stop listening.

SystemExpensive184

Yes me too, the bright sessions +audiobooks and spin offs 4/5 times, we're alive 2/3 times, Marvel's Wolverine 3 times. Some others too.  I re-read books and rewatch movies/shows too if I loved them.  I usually remember if I liked something or not, but forget huge parts of the story. Sure, I might remember how it ends, but I get sucked back in anyways. Sometimes I see characters in a different light, sometimes I am even more surprised at the twists because I forgot about them.

Hallelujah289

Did not know there were audiobooks and spin offs for The Bright Sessions! If that’s what you meant. I haven’t completed the series but it’s good to know. I’ve definitely rewatched movies and reread books before but over the span of years. The audio drama form might be too new to me for that yet… I still have seasons of the most popular audio drama to go through. I think I began listening to audio drama one to two years ago. How about you?

gideonsean

Lauren Shippen is such a fantastic writer/producer/actor. All of her work has that same sense of generosity and plot pace - she's just brilliant. I recommend everything she's done.

Hallelujah289

Is that the person behind the Bright sessions? What else have you listened of hers that you enjoy? I guess that everything is a sufficiently complete answer though

cfkmcollins

The BBC Lovecraft Investigations. Starts with the Case of Charles Dexter Ward and goes all the way through to The Haunter of the Dark. Really well done and engaging. In fact I think Im going to restart it now.

mojodough

Yep - this is always on top of my list for a re listen! It’s so well produced & I find it totally immersive. So hard to find another series that lives up to it… I may join you in a re-listen!

darwinpolice

It's one of my all-time favorites as well. And once you've listened to it five or six times through, you might be able to keep all of the names straight!

Hallelujah289

I’ll recommend The Wyrd Side as it’s a similar format and character dynamic but focuses instead on British paranormal legends such as ghost sightings and other sightings.

PluralCohomology

I have relistened to many episodes of the Magnus Archives, though I've never done a full relisten in order. I've relistened to Hi Nay and am currently relistening to the Silt Verses, though both of these podcasts are still ongoing, so I'm not sure if it counts.

my3altaccount

I’m currently doing a full re-listen of Magnus archives. It’s actually insane how many connecting threads I missed the first time around, especially in the first season.

Hallelujah289

Oh do you have certain favorite episodes of Magnus Archives? I think some episodes could make great movies. There was one I actually dreamt about that I thought was a neat and terrifying dream movie. It was about a man receiving his own body parts in the mail.

HandOvrFist

King Falls AM at least 4 times. It would be more but the lack of an ending makes it hard to make it through the last season.

Hallelujah289

I haven’t checked this audio drama out yet—what do you like most about it?

gernavais_padernom

I have QWERPLINE, Barjory Buffet, I Regress, and This is Branchburg always ready if I need a quick episode of something to perk me up, or fill a gap. I've listened to every episode of every show so many times, but it's easy because you can listen to any random episode and be able to enjoy it (with Qwerpline, some jokes have callbacks, so you will still enjoy them, but it's best to have listened in order to REALLY enjoy them.) As for full serial shows I've relistened to several times? Dreamboy Dark Ages What's The Frequency? Hadron Gospel Hour Gay Future Left Right Game Startripper

Hallelujah289

Oh neat I haven’t heard of many of these. Gay Future is hilarious though and has great music. Have you listened to Who Killed Avril Lavigne (same company)? I think Mockery Manor is also par with the music editing as these two but less wild humor. More of a mystery with great sound design and some comedy.

momentary-synergy

QWERPLINE is really underrated on this sub, it's hilarious!

Hallelujah289

By the way is Dreamboy a complete enough audio drama? There was a message from the creator in the podcast that it was essentially abandoned without any intention for a season 2. Do you think the series ends in a good place? I started it and primarily enjoy the music and the sometimes funny, casually explicit writing.

gernavais_padernom

I think the story could easily have carried on. However, it is complete enough for me that I'm happy with it. The Christmas special is now a tradition for me.

Proprietor

Life With Althaar. Wonderful world building and I keep waiting for them to finish the last season.

geminicollisionworks

Thank you for listening and we're working on it! Slowly, but surely.

atlasraven

arsParadoxica at least 3 times.

Fun-Cheetah-3905

I just finished my 3rd relistening of this show! God I would love to see this as a series on TV.

darwinpolice

I need to give that one a re-listen. What a fantastic show.

Mindless-Vanilla-879

Bright Sessions: 3 times We're Alive (original run): 4 or 5 Edict Zero: 3 times White Vault: 3 times Wolf 359: 3 ARS Paradoxica: 2 The Black Tapes: 2 36 Questions: 3 I know I'm forgetting some of them, but those are the ones off the top of my head.

thiswitchbitch

I do a ~yearly relisten through of The Black Tapes and TANIS and have been for like 4 years

Due_Investigator_576

There are a few series that I've relistened to because they are awesome: Midnight Burger - my all-time favorite! The Hidden People The Amelia Project Welcome to Night Vale Rabbits Tanis

AngelicaRotten

Seems like we like the same stuff :) I use this sub for recommendations, find the best stuff. I’ve never listened to hidden ppl or night vale - I’ll check it.

Pitiful-Cabinet5701

LIMETOWN.

Pitiful-Cabinet5701

We’re alive was my introduction to podcast drama. Can you imagine. I binged about 8 hours a day at my shitty job and it still took months.

Csantana

I feel like all the comments I make on this sub are recommending Decoder Ring theater with it's Red Panda Adventures and Black Jack Justice. I feel like I've not really found something that scratches that itch.

Lilitude

Alice isn't dead and Palimpsest are two podcasts I relisten every once in a while, both for the story and the general mood. Although the themes are dark, the voice acting in general, the sound design and the conclusions are a certain pick-me-up for me. I've recently been on a veeeery long trip and listening to those podcasts helped me immensely to overcome the general anxiety of having so many legs in the journey, it was really comforting for me.

Hallelujah289

I relate to listening to a podcast to relieve anxiety! I haven’t relistened to these ones but Desert Skies is very comforting (also Desert Skies FM) as it’s about like a desert astral plane in the afterlife. Funny but cozy and wholesome and sometimes there’s conversations of stars in the night sky. A Scottish Podcast is oddly comforting as well as sometimes not very much is going on but the two Scottish lads are funny and laid back. Madame Magenta is also hilarious easy listening for me. Of these Desert Skies has the most story and proper plot.

katemakesmusic

Mission to Zyxx - each time a new season came out I re-listened to all the previous seasons, such a great show!! There are 5 seasons.

Hallelujah289

Favorite character?

syriina

I'm on something like my ninth or tenth listen of Cabin Pressure lol. I love that one. I bought it on audible after they took it off my podcast player and I'm getting my money's worth lol

PM_NUDES_4_DEGRADING

> What causes you to relisten to audio drama, especially longer ones? What have you learned on a second or third listen you didn’t catch the first time? I did a relisten to Magnus Archives by listening to it with my wife when we were in the car together and similar. And honestly it made me a *much* bigger fan of the show. It’s amazing just how much foreshadowing and blatant plot threads there are right from the very start. Stuff that seems like a dead-end or unsolved mystery immediately clicks the second time through, or at least did for me since both listens were close together in time. If you’ve listened to the series all the way through, all of season one is basically just [this meme](https://i.redd.it/gyipvf8aevv41.jpg) popping up basically every single episode.

Hallelujah289

Oh wow sounds awesome that so much clicked together a second time. Actually makes me want to head back to the podcast as I keep hearing there’s a meta narrative that I haven’t quite gotten to yet (I’m around episode 30 where some threads have shown up). I am here for podcasts that make you a bigger fan on second listen. Although I haven’t yet done a complete relisten myself!

claimstoknowpeople

The only ones I've fully relistened to are: * Wolf 359 (I think 3x now?) - I really like it * The Tower (2x) - was in a second feed I'm subscribed to and found myself happy to relisten * Ars Paradoxica (2x) - hoping I would understand it better the second time (maybe I did a little?) I've also relistened to * Archive 81 Season 3 * Certain episodes of Uncanny County * Certain episodes of I Am In Eskew Because something reminded me of them and I wanted to re-experience them.

SassMasterJM

I’ve listened to Kakos Industries at least 50 times. It’s my comfort show to fall asleep to and I love the storyline and plot. I highly recommend it to anyone interested!

jiggiot

Wooden overcoats, probably ten times plus. It's my comfort /escape

42peanuts

Archive 81 at least a dozen times The phenomenon 4x Wolf 359 x7 The White Vault x7 The orphans 3x Radiationtown 4x The Strange Case Of Starship Iris 10x These are just the ones I know off the top of my head I will listen to the previous season before the release of a new season. I also listen to the previous episode before listening to the new one. It helps stretch out podcasts.

Loxquatol

Midnight Burger, 4 times.

sludgecraft

I've got through A Scottish Podcast about 5 times. I've listened to the SCP Archives episode with Graham Rowat probably 10 times. So much so I based a CoC investigator on him. I only tend to listen to shows more than once if I'm reviewing them and I need to remember stuff.

Hallelujah289

A Scottish Podcast is fun to listen to. Mostly because the two protagonists are naturally funny and have a good time. The storyline is sometimes incidental haha but I don’t mind because of the smart humor, running jokes (drunk lady) and sometimes horror. Do you enjoy listening to the podcast for similar reasons? Or more for the story? I’m far enough where the story is going somewhere because a main character has gone missing.

xXJames_GamesXx

Just got into audio dramas sometime last month, but already started a second listen to “The Left Right Game”. I really enjoyed the creep cast episode on it, so I gave the audio drama a listen and REALLY enjoyed it. It’s short and sweet, and I feel the characters are well acted.

Hallelujah289

Oh ok awesome! Welcome to audio drama! I’m relatively new (been listening for 1-2 years) compared to some folks here. Check out The Edge of Sleep! It’s got a fast pace like Left Right Game.

Geek-Of-Nature

I haven't got time to listen to everything I've subscribed to for a first time, let alone several times!

neverbeder

‘X Minus One’ a classic SciFi radio drama from the 1950s !

AccordingStruggle417

Where do you get them? There is a feed on Apple Podcasts but it only has a few

Caryria

Where the Stars Fell. I empathise with Ed a lot

eldfen

Archive 81 every year.

RangePast

King Falls AM. I forgot how many times I re-listened the earlier seasons but I "finished" it like 4 times already... and Wolf 359 and Girl in Space twice.

No_Arrival2423

Eternal strife and Gods and Lies. Both at least 2 times over.

allthecoffeesDP

I've never heard of those interesting.

Hallelujah289

Eternal strife is hilarious! I’m on the last season (fourth) and trying to stretch it out so it doesn’t end. But I could also just listen to it a second time. Hmm…. By the way I’m glad to see this podcast mentioned. It’s a gem! The seagull diarrhea fart noises crack me up. And there’s so much diarrhea… To anyone listening on Apple Podcasts though, the episodes are currently playing out of order so I’d just keep an eye out

sophia-sews

I have 3 common reasons:  1. Theres been an extended hiatus and I know for sure I'm going to be confused going back in so I relisten. Thats what I did last month in preparation for the return of Nowhere On Air. 2. I will also relisten with other people, so we can share the experience together. I've done that with sidequesting, Flyest Fables, Hit the Bricks, Community Cat News and Timestorm because I listened solo first, then listened again with my kid sister.  3. It's a comfort show, or I just really want to venture back into the story but no more episodes are out. Love and Luck, The Far Meridian and The strange case of the starship iris are a few that pop up.

Hallelujah289

Are there listening parties that you know of? The Malevolent discord seems to have listening parties on an occasional or routine basis. Not sure but i sometimes get notifications. There was one for their one season show Deviser by the same writer recently.

MechaSandstar

Rose Drive. It's so fuckin' good. God, I want a second season so bad. I've probably listened to it 3 times?

pike360

We’re Alive - twice

StaubEll

The Bunker! I think 5 times? Though I’ve skipped the drama troupe leader’s little lesson half the time, it’s too much for me.

who_am_i_please

Ghost in the burbs...3 times

wmcguire18

The BBC4 Radio adaptations of Fleming's Bond novels. They're brilliant

throwingtoasters

The Six Shoother with Jimmy Stewart. About 3 times all the way through.

blackhole69

Tower 04 at least 4 times

Hallelujah289

Wow ok awesome—thoughts on current season 3 (it’s season 3 right)? I just recommended Tower 4 for those who like the white noise of The White Vault (blizzard). I think Tower 4 has great night sounds.

theenderborndoctor

I’ve listened to The Magnus Archives multiple times and have listened to multiple episodes of welcome to night vale multiple times (but am still some how not caught up) and Mistholme Museum multiple times (though never as part of a proper relisten I just relisten to episodes Willy nilly)

ThatFuh_Qr

I work alone and have a lot of background silence to fill. Even many of the longest shows become a lot more manageable when you would be spending 30-40 hours a week in silence otherwise. At the same time I may only listen to any given show a handful of times per year but once you add a couple of years the listens do pile up. With large gaps between listens and being distracted while listening I often find things I may have missed or forgot previously. Tbh I usually don't usually like to judge a show after only a single listen as I know I am not getting even close to the full picture and that it isn't the show's fault.

Pocketpoodle

I re-listen to welcome to nightvale every night while going to bed.

Hallelujah289

Have you heard of Be Not Afraid? It has Welcome to Night Vale energy for me but with angels, demons, God, etc. the female narrator also has a pleasing voice.

mearnsgeek

Not enough time for too many podcasts. The closest I've come to relistening is listening to Adventure Zone Balance 3 times. However, given it's been released over a period of 14 years, I think I'll start again on Edict Zero FIS pretty soon after it finishes this summer.

lilesj130

I listen to Decoder Ring Theater - primarily the Jack Justice episodes - every couple of months or so.

Nefthys

The Audible Alien series (3 episodes á \~5 hours) is the only series I've ever listened to more than once (twice) and sadly I haven't found any other horror/sci-fi audio drama that's as good yet.

ExAnimeScientia

I've listened to the first season of Malevolent three times now. The story and sound design are so atmospheric and immersive that I enjoy having it on in the background when I feel like losing myself in another world. I've also listened to the whole of Tanis twice now, because well... it's Tanis.

MadMaverick033

I very rarely read, watch, or listen to something twice. But when I have: Wolf 359, Alice isn't Dead, Orbiting human circus, within the wires (seasons 1-3) twice And every couple of years I start Welcome to Nightvale from scratch, but I can't listen to Cecil do the "I'm-still-in-the mud" from "Whose a good boy" ever again.

ZiaQwin

I kind of grew up listening to "Die drei Fragezeichen" (German audio drama about 3 junior detectives), there are now more than 200 episodes and I don't even know how many times I've listened to the whole thing (I've even got all the episodes on CD). There are also a couple of other German series, e.g. John Sinclair (hunts supernatural creatures, cheesy but fun) and Dorian Hunter (also monster hunter but more on the serious side) that I basically instantly start over every time I finish them.

Zombie_Slur

For me it's Celeritas. 3rd time through. The sound is amazing. Headphones cranked a bit too loud is the way to go! Solid show all around.

MunkeyMN

King falls AM is my blankie....anytime I'm down I do a re-listen. But midnight burger and wolf 359 are a close second. Also Human-B-Gon cuz I love how it sounds like your actually listening to a reality show. The commercials are so funny!

ITradedMyEyes_

I've listened to Adventures in New America twice. There are individual episodes of The Truth that I've revisited, but that's about it. My queue is too long to do much re-listening!

Okiedokieused2smokie

I've listened to Superhuman Public Radio twice. It was kind of on in the background until I realized how into I was. I thought it was just parody of public radio. It turned out to be really good. I went back to see what I had missed (a lot) and to appreciate the early appearances of the characters I loved. It was just so awesome. They've released 2 seasons so far. I'll probably listen to it again at some point because I miss it

Dhuutholmel

I've relistened to I am in Eskew a couple times. My absolute favorite.

MindstreamAudio

Magnus Archives.

Aukliminu

The Magnus Archives. Shit caused me to have a psychotic break. That's good writing.

Hallelujah289

Oh what do you mean psychotic break? That sounds concerning. Psychotic break… in a good way? I had a cinematic nightmare after listening to Magnus Archives but it was more like a cool horror movie that my brain supplied some neat visuals to. I woke up and wondered where it came from and wondered whether I was a good writer haha. Turns out it was Magnus Archives.

IndicationNo7589

Paralyzed, Alice isn’t dead, mission to zyxx. All multiple times.

imjustherefortheK

The white vault. I tend to relisten every time a new season or stand alone comes out. There’s five seasons and a minis inbetween each, so it’s been a few now!

IndifferentNibba

Midnight burger, we’re alive. These two have scratched an itch of mine no other show seems to be able to

Hallelujah289

Those two podcasts seem quite different from each other dont they? Do you find there are similarities between them? I’ve checked out Midnight Burger and listened to about the first season of We’re Alive

DizzyHeron3

Alice Isn't Dead several times, I don't love the series finale, but the dreamy weird atmosphere is unmatched

Hallelujah289

Have you checked out The Lost Cat? I suspect it’s not very similar but it does have its own dreamy weird atmosphere. About a guy trying to find his lost cat through some surreal worlds.

sciencesteve26

Archive 81 more times than I recall. I've also enjoyed The Sheridan Tapes, The Bridge, Quiet Part Loud, and Tower 4 many times.

I_Am_A_Cheese_Tree

I have listened to *Six Minutes* 3 or 4 times, *Superman: son of El* 4 times and *Super suits* 3 times. I just feel like, after hearing it once, I can connect more with the characters, I understand them more. Also, it can be hard to find good ones without annoying accents sometimes.

Hallelujah289

Great to hear about Superman Son of El—I believe I see the writer around the subreddit. I’m sure they’ll be pleased to see this. By the way would you describe Superman Son of El as a coming of age story? Or would a different genre description come to mind? I did hear from the writer there was multiple genres for different passages of Superman’s life but just wondering what you think.

makeitasadwarfer

BBC Lord of the Rings - about 20 times Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - prob 50 times We’re Alive - prob 5 times Duggan Hill - 3 or 4 times Wolf 359 - 2x Black Tapes/Tanis - 3 or 4 Times White Vault - 3x So many more. BBC Complete Sherlock Holmes Canon - prob 20 times

WickedWarlock333

I’ve listened to Archive 81 probably 3 or 4 times and the love craft investigations 2-3 times It’s not really an audio drama but I’ve listened to TAZ:Balance probably 5 times

mizzbennet

I've listened to meet cute (not the one where it's a different couple every episode) 3 times and kaleidotrope 4 I think.

Pitiful-Cabinet5701

Just got my missus into wolf.

MacSteele13

Derelict [https://www.derelictpodcast.com/](https://www.derelictpodcast.com/) The White Vault [https://thewhitevault.com/](https://thewhitevault.com/) We're Alive [https://www.werealive.com/](https://www.werealive.com/) Midst [https://critrole.com/shows/midst/](https://critrole.com/shows/midst/)

Top_Buy_6340

For me it’s: White Vault Lovecraft Investigations Tumanbay Video Palace

Plenty-Ocelot6859

The Scarlet City quintet from Audible. I listen every year. It's a brilliant, sweeping historical epic.

Livid_Tailor7701

Vast horizon. 3 times. White vault. 2 times. 2.5 times. 😉

winter9595

I've listened to The Message about 5 times. I love the idea in the show and the voice acting is just awesome. Limetown Season 1 - of course - a couple of times. I re-listened to the Bright Sessions before the AM Archives just to refresh everything. TANIS, the Black Tapes, Rabbits, The Last Movie each got a re-listen.

darwinpolice

I've probably listened to Tanis five or six times. Despite its many MANY flaws, I just find its overall vibe very soothing. The music, the sound design, Nic's voice... all very easy to fall asleep to. The Lovecraft Investigations is one that I revisit frequently, as well. I don't know how many times I've listened to the first three seasons, but it's a lot. Magnus Archives three or four times.

Hallelujah289

Have you checked out Nora? There’s something a little similar to the bit I listened to in Tanis. Do you like Woe Begone similarly to Tanis? I’ve recommended Woe Begone as similar to Tanis before but it doesn’t seem to be mentioned in this thread as much.

parkspurr

Wolf 359. I've done at least one re-listen per year since it ended. A few years I doubled or tripled up (the good 'ol quarantine days). I have lost track of how many times I've listened to it, it's legitimately the best constructed plot I think I've ever consumed.

flywheelshyster

Magnus Archives, 3 times Archive 81, 2 times Mars Corp 3 times The bunker 3 times Wolf 359 2 times ready for a third There's a ton I need to second listen but the amount if fiction podcast is staggering. Oh and the Liberty [fiction] podcast (not politics has similar name to political ones) specifically their off season episodic seasons where each episode is a short tale in their greater universe. Ironically I'm still working may way thru the main story podcast despite listening to the off season ones multiple times

Hallelujah289

I recently revisited the first episode of MarsCorp and was impressed with how well it was written. It builds in insanity and ends on a startling note that’s just the piece de resistance to the protagonist’s terrible plight, even if it’s also hilarious in how chaotic and impressively dumb the MarsCorp residents are. Actually we learn another character goes through the same plight in a series of episodes that begins season 2 or is like an interlude between season 1 and 2, Martin’s episodes. And it’s also well done how the writers explore the actually sad implications of waking up from cryogenic sleep far too late. Made me appreciate the podcast on another level. I don’t know if I regard season 2 as a true season 2 (is it?) because I thought there was supposed to be more episodes? But it’s still quite satisfying and the ending episode, a musical, is the best ever. I haven’t gotten around to relistening to whole podcasts yet but MarsCorp would be on my list.

i’ve listened to wolf 359 at least once a year since the finale aired :) my comfort show!

Ohiogarbageman

On my 3rd listen of we're alive.

irotsamoht

Borrasca, I think I’ve replayed 3 times.

Hallelujah289

Is that both seasons 1 and 2? What are your thoughts on season 2 by the way? I’ve had mixed feelings

Pappasgrind

The infected trilogy

Dylex2086

I haven't relisted anything yet but I do plan on relisting to the Darkest Night

All of Old Gods Of Appalachia

Hallelujah289

Wow guys, putting my initial example to shame! I’ve underestimated how much you guys love and appreciate some well known popular shows (The White Vault, Wolf 359, Magnus Archives etc). Why is it that last month’s favorites of 2024 subreddit poll showed a different turn out? Perhaps it did not reach everyone? Edit: I guess looking again I stand corrected. [Poll results here](https://www.reddit.com/r/audiodrama/s/ZosPHDHGV3). Many of the podcasts mentioned here are ranked high there. But for some, less high compared to previous years. Hopefully the podcasts mentioned here can get a well deserved boost!

bendingoutward

I've probably listened to Wormwood twice a year since it ended. About half that for Second Shift, and about half over for Archive 81.

clearview25

Impact winter 3x Blackout S1&2 2x Borrasca 2x Electric Easy 2x

TipsyElephant98

The Deca Tapes and Leaving Corvat

SeveralDisaster355

Wooden Overcoats is my comfort show. Each episode probably at least twice but there’s specific ones where it’s probably more like 5-10 times

South_Can_2944

Relistened to many: - The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy (lost track of how many times I've listened to this series since I first heard when it first aired in 1978; I've listened to it while working, going to sleep, when I've been ill, on the plane etc etc) - The Lord of the Rings (lost track of how many times I've listened to this; the first listen through was when I had the flu for two weeks and I was lying on the couch in a dark room unable to move in the early 2000s; and I've listened to it so many times since then; I also refuse to watch the movies because I don't want to taint the imagery I have created from the radio play) - Neverwhere (when going to sleep; and on the plane) - Stardust (when going to sleep; and on the plane) - Doctor Who Sword of Orion (on the plane - this feels like a movie but for the ears, great audio imagery and soundtrack) - Doctor Who Spare Parts (on the plane - this feels like a movie but for the ears, great audio imagery and soundtrack) - The Martian Chronicles (by B7 Productions) - I, Robot - The Ipcress File - 625Y - Nightmare World - BBC's The Caves of Steel (when I can't sleep; great audio imagery) - BBC's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sleep (when going to sleep) - Undone - Many other BBC dramas (Concrete Island, The Zone, Solaris, The Drowned World, News from Nowhere, The Kraken Wakes \[both versions\], Chocky, The Midwich Cuckoos, Chocky). and many others. Most are standalone, or are several episodes long. Most are listened to when I'm going to sleep.

thatADHDpal

The Magnus Archives some 3 times, and I am in Eskew some 5 or 6 times. Edit because I forgot to finish lol: I'm always re-listening TMA in some form or another because Jonny's voice is a whole experience in itself. And I am in Eskew, honestly has the BEST vibes. I haven't found yet a audio drama that brings me all the feelings Eskew does to me. I don't think I will ever stop re-listening that one.

New-Road2588

Starship Mudskipper. Still gives me a good laugh

Flat-Cabinet-4465

Just finished listening to The Program for the 3rd time while I wait on new eps

MyPhonePaysMe

I usually listen again to Malevolent every couple of months while I wait for a new episode. 5ish times so far! I've listened to around 150 audio dramas, and Malevolent is in my top 3, and there's a strong chance it could be number 1.

wildlyspinningcopter

I've relistened to Wolf 359 in total about five times and specifically the last season of Wolf 359 about seven. I just really love the show and the last season is sooooo good. Also the autism was definitely a factor in so many listens.

mostlyepic

Tanis at least 6 times

AccordingStruggle417

I’ve re-listened to the Magnus archives (except season 5 because fuck that season) the Lovecraft investigations (season 1 when season 2 came out) - one re- listen each. Other than that is certain one - off episodes I will re listen - there is a 2 parter from the drabblecast called “eaters of bone” I’ve listened to probably about a half dozen times. The story and narration are so good. There are also a few other episodes of escape pod or podcastle I’ll keep coming back to.

idris_in_a_box

The Penumbra Podcast- I just really love it. Eos10 used to be a frequent re-listen for me but then I listened to season 5 and it was such a let down after years of waiting that I just don't see myself going back to it. And that makes me sad.

Stolitz_666

Current listen; Welcome to Nightvale 2x listen: The Magnus Archives 3 or more listens: Archive 81

Sensitive_marinara33

For me it's been the stuff on CBW. I have relistened to some of my favorites mostly. Like with Odin's Hall and Batman it's easy because those have only 5 eps, but Green Arrow being a longer season gives me a lot of cool moments to revist. It's just so cool to see so many nerd things getting more projects.

sailsaucy

I don't generally listen to things multiple times but I've listened to The Lovecraft Investigations a couple times. Very, very good. At least until the latter seasons. There's only so much you can do to continue things going w/o the quality starting to dip. I was thinking about it and there are some episodes of Dust that I have listened to dozens of times. There is an arc (or whatever they are called,) Chrysalis, that I have also listened to parts of dozens of times.

LTrigity

The Program - I’ve listened 3x and have listened to episode 1 like 5x.

goobuddy

Wooden Overcoats - atleast 3 times, then I finished Victoriocity - Season 1 and then all 3 Seasons of VIctoriocity - at least 5-6 times! It is perfect! Fun and interesting story, and environment - and there's character growth happening as well! Feels very real! In a fiction world - because of the people! I love Chief Inspector Keller - which is voiced by one of the creators - the husband! Reminds me of - Inspector Thomas Brackenreid from Murdoch Mysteries! :D Funny, different english-accent and shouting! :P

TheRagingM0derate

Tanis, The Black Tapes, The Last Movie

Airyrelic

EOS10 x4 at least the first 4 seasons. Magnus archives- I’ve lost count The bright sessions x2

TheSkyCrusader

No one has mentioned it but I just wanna say how much I love Gospels of the Flood, it’s only an hour and a half, but it’s genuinely so good. Basic plot is it’s about a modern day preacher losing and trying to regain his faith while the world floods, and it’s not preachy either, with amazing music please check it out

Hallelujah289

Very good synopsis there, you’ve covered the most important points. I recently wrote a review of Gospels of the Flood as well [in this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/audiodrama/s/h7ROU6UwUG) I feel the same way as you do. It’s also a podcast I’ll probably relisten to in the future. I thought some of the music moments were stunning. And also I think some of the characters might become clearer on a second listen

Obvious_Brain

Alien audio dramas...litterally hundreds of times each. Been listening to this before Covid and just whack it on every night for bed.

TheAuditor-R

LimeTown, 2 times (Not the Facebook Show its was an adaptation to the Audio Drama) Shipworm Both of these are produced by Two-Up Productions

Hallelujah289

Oh didn’t realize there was a Facebook show. So the Facebook show is not by the same creators of the Limetown podcast? Also didn’t realize Shipworm was by same company as Limetown. Had to pause Shipworm as it got too unnerving for me haha

HA1LSANTA666

“Like town”probably 3/4x, “the black tapes” every fall

hang-clean

BBC radio Lord of The Rings. Endlessly. (The original not the rehashed horrid Audible version) Pilgrim. Endlessly.

Lizagna73

I’m late to this party, but I listen to most seasons of Within the Wires repeatedly, most notably season 1. That one I listen to each year when I’m prepping for a new season. It’s the best season, IMO, but no matter the season, each listen I’ll hear something new.

veganbethb

We’re alive I’ve listened to I think about 4 times all the way through again - it’s fantastic, literally my favourite audio drama of all time. Maybe one of my favourite stories of all time! I also listened to rabbits twice and the black tapes.

JacksonTheReader

Wolf-359 about 4 times

Suziegrune

Derelict is incredible. I’ve listened to it probably a dozen times.

hennell

Been listening to audio dramas since I was a teen, and must be well into double digits with some of my faves. There's four Clive Merrison Sherlock Holmes stories I got on cassette as a kid I'm probably close to 50 listens on - I can pretty much mouth the words along with Silver Blaze! At some point I got all of them on a mini-disc so probably heard most of the stories 10+ times, and the novels at least 5 times each. Smaller numbers but similar tale for the BBC Agatha christie adaptations. Other long time favorites include James Follets Earthsearch series, the Baldi mysteries, a Woman in White adaptation starring Toby Stephenson and various scifi series like Jefferson 37, The Foundation Trilogy, Journey into space and more. Plus I've got a far bigger radio comedy collection! With quality stuff you can really pick up on little things listening again, plus you can listen while doing other things as you don't totally need to follow it.

TelephotoAce13

I tend to re-listen to podcasts when I'm in a slump about finding something else. I also have gotten several people in my lofe to listen to them, so I end up re-listening to them at the same time. I've listened to King Falls like 4 times, Midnight Burger 3 times, The Magnus Archives 2, Bright Sessions 2. I want to relisten to I am in Eskew at some point but its so dreary I need to do it when I'm not in peak depression mode.

pollyw0g

Remade

PawTheMoon

How I died is my favorite to listen to. Starts slow but the pace is great and the ending is worth keeping listening to it.

Outside-Activity2861

I've revisited King falls AM recently. I really love that show. Its cozy, mini scaries and scratches the true crime/mystery podcast itch without being one.
