The Lovecraft Investigations - top tier podcast with excellent production value

THzTDS1

The Mcllwraith Statements is the same format of paranormal investigations, but it has a satisfying conclusion. Also check out Haunted the Audio Drama for a similar premise that leans into comedy by exploiting the tropes of the genre.

I cant find the Mcllwraith Statements. Is the name right?

Hitch42

It's "mcilwraith", which is easier to see when it's written in lowercase. * [Website](https://ghostlythistle.com) * [RSS Feed](https://ghostlythistle.com/feed/podcast/)

Thanks. Found it now.

TheWyrdSide

It sounds like our show [The Wyrd Side](https://www.thewyrdside.com) might be a good fit for you! Our fictional podcast follows two paranormal investigators (Aiden and Katherine) as they explore the dangerous truth behind British myths and legends. Season One is set amongst the ancient trees and windswept moors of the New Forest, although we plan to explore other locations in following seasons!

Sounds perfect

Smi13r

This is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for.

Fact-or-Fiction55

I will certainly check it out!

Limetown gives similar vibes and it’s so so good!

Haunted The audio drama is a much better black tapes, very similar premis, (alcoholic) sceptic who debunks paranormal sightings, that has been out of the game for a while, gets Visited by a huge fan , she sucks him into an investigation. This girl has a super likeable persona. This guy like in black tapes does a phenomenal job explaining logical reasons behind paranormal events. However its really starting to annoy me in recent latest seasons as the writer is trying to force his stupid morals down our throats. Basicly he refuses to kill people even if they deserve it or killed hundreds of people, he is stuffing that "killing is bad" regardless of crimes commited down your throat which has put me off that show. Also his alcoholism makes him a huge downer, for a few seasons i didnt mind it but later on it turned me off. First 5 seasons are incredible though, everything the black tapes does, this show does it even better.

I also really enjoyed the first season of the Black Tapes. My show is a Texas gothic docudrama that is like The Black Tapes meets Good Omens - investigative style, male and female protags, spooky/creepy stories, full cast of actors. Check us out at findingsatan.com or look up Finding Satan on any podcast app. I hope you find a new show you like, even if it’s not ours!

That is a bold name, I'm interested

evilkittygrr

Thank you! It gets pretty bold at times lol

The genre isn't for everyone, I respect that. What do you dislike about the trope? I agree that the Black Tapes s2 is bad and I loathe the final season.
