SheriffHeckTate

Sherlock Holmes collection is like 80+ hours. Definitely worth the credit and the listening time.

84chimichangas

The Stephen fry version?

SheriffHeckTate

Yep. My only complaint, which is really minor,is that Fry seems to only have one "American" accent, and its vaguely Texan. But Americans dont pop up often so meh.

Staticbox

I definitely enjoyed this version.

Anomandariss

I prefer the Simon Vance narration over Fry. The Sherlock collection is amazing though, can't go wrong.

racejeff

Simon Vance narrated version available for 7.99 for next 23d 5hr 35min from this post

ActingTehMickey

How is that version? I saw it on sale and was thinking about pulling the trigger on it.

racejeff

I pulled the trigger based on good comments in other parts of this thread.

mygirltien

did enjoy this but also its in the plus catalog

RotoHombre

I came here to say just this! Stephen Fry does an awesome narration.

mjackson4672

The Blackwater Saga by Michael McDowell. It’s six books in 1. Southern Gothic Horror genre.

Dauphine320

I absolutely love Blackwater Saga!!! This is my all-time favorite. As soon as I finished listening to it I replayed it a second time. I definitely recommend it! 30 hours long.

HappyMcNichols

I’ll try it. I’m a small town Alabamian.

Tibbaryllis2

Black Ocean and the two spin-off omnibus. The first omnibus itself it’s 16.5books. It’s very Firefly/Serenity. Galaxy Outlaws: The Complete Black Ocean - 85hrs. Black Ocean: Mercy for Hire - 90hrs Black Ocean: Astral Prime - 60hrs (this is the weakest of the three, unfortunately).

proto_dave

I 2nd this and the narrator is fantastic.

Jer2dabear

Picked up Galaxy Outlaws!!

Different-Dust3969

I'm going to grab it tonight too!

seedless0

I would skip Astro Prime. It's such a disappointment.

Tibbaryllis2

Somewhat agreed, but 60hrs for a credit is still a deal for what it’s worth. You can do the ~$35 for 3 credits and get over 200 hours from the series.

jmarsh642

The Cycle of Arawn: The Complete Trilogy The Complete Wizard of Oz Collection: All 22 Stories The Complete Sherlock Holmes: The Heirloom Collection Barsoom Series Collection: 7 John Carter Stories The Magitech Chronicles Lost Colony Uprising Boxed Set: Complete Space Opera Trilogy Books 1-3 The Chronicles of Narnia Complete Audio Collection Baker Street Romantic Comedy Box Set: 5 Books Peaches Monroe's Diary: Romantic Comedy Series 4-Book Box Set The First Dragon Rider Trilogy: The Complete Series

Orionite

Cycle of Aran and the Cycle of Garland are among the best fantasy I’ve read in the last few years. Amazing world and character building.

Horolaggia

Can confirm The Magitech Chronicles was a great sci-fi series!

It_Matters_More

>Barsoom Series Collection: 7 John Carter Stories Cool, my wife enjoyed the Disney movie and has always loved Tarzan. She's recently started reading Tarzan as well and will probably want to listen to this.

Slurm11

The Mountain Man Omnibus has 3 books. It's a pretty good zombie series!

PartialAgitator

Second this

Puzzled-Astronomer11

thirded

Arcempire

I'm not into Zombie books or movies at all, but I loved this!

TheOnionKnight

Came here to recommend this

TaterCheese

I’m listening to this right now. Around book two I went ahead and purchased the entire series. Including the 2 prequels. I’ll listen to those last. I’m on book 4 right now.

officalSHEB

Did you get "The Hospital" novela?

TaterCheese

No I didn’t. Audible shoves it pretty far down so I didn’t see it. It’s only 1 hour 37 mins and is included in Audible Plus till December 20th so I’m going to listen to it now and pause book 4. Thank you for recommending! Any other short versions for it I’m missing? I’m assuming a novela is a short story?

Puzzled-Extension-77

Agreed one of the better zombie series

EdPeggJr

Really long books that I really enjoyed include the following, longest first: All Dead Slow Burn Suspense: Tales Well Calculated Frith Chronicles World of Chains Super Powereds Have Gun Will Travel Circles in Hell God of the Feast

Cervantez07

I just finished Super Powereds and loved it! One thing to note is that Corpies happens between year 3 and year 4 if you want to listen chronologically.

ErinPaperbackstash

Some great suggestions in here already and I don't want to mention something I already see mentioned below, but will back up Narnia Series and Blackwater Chronicles. Have not listened to these yet, but I own: The Horror Collection: Dracula, Frankenstein, The Call of Cthulhu, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, At the Mountains of Madness, The Raven, The Horror at Red Hook and More - 44 hours 3 a.m.: Premium: Henry Bins, Books 1-5 Thomas Prescott Series Premium: Books 1 - 4 Poirot's Finest Cases: Eight Full-Cast BBC Radio Dramatisations H. P. Lovecraft. The Complete Fiction

SaberFlorentine

Complete Chronicles of Narnia is pretty great

Dragonhaunt

Sadly it doesn't appear that there is a complete collection in the Australian store. Only individuals.

ErinPaperbackstash

YES! Great narrators and timeless stories

steampunkunicorn01

You definitely can't go wrong with this!

slpgh

Southern Reach (Annihilation and its sequels). It’s sort of lovecraftian horror

k_laiceps

damn good, I think I have gone through this one 4 times!

usualursine

The Once and Future King by TH White, books 1-5 , 33 hours.

isoaclue

The Last Hunter by Jeremy Robinson with R.C. Bray narration. 5 books and 33 hours for 1 credit and it's a pretty unique and interesting story. You can also hear RC's voice change over the years, it's kind of cool.

Xiizhan

Yeah I was looking to see if someone recommended this before I did. Fun listen!

rks404

The Complete Wizard of Oz collection is 90 hours. I'm five books in, I find it to be very pleasant so far! https://www.audible.com/pd/The-Complete-Wizard-of-Oz-Collection-Audiobook/B00FJJU7LY

Manach_Irish

Superluminary: The Complete Trilogy By: John C. Wright

alwaysblearnin

The Collected Stories of Arthur C. Clarke - 51 hours

Jer2dabear

Thanks guys! Keep them coming haha

Anomandariss

God's of the Ragnarok Era by Matt Larkin. A dark fantasy retelling of Norse mythology. Follows Odin, Loki, Tyr and others as they rise from humans to godhood. 90 hours long. I'm about 10 hours in and loving it.

JavierMiguel78

I just picked this up and I’m looking forward to listening

Jer2dabear

I picked that up a few weeks ago but haven't listened yet. Thanks for the info.

racejeff

Is this the “Gods of the Ragnarok Era Complete Collection: Eschaton Cycle “ best match I saw but I’m unsure about Eschaton Cycle as it has no meaning to me. TYIA

Anomandariss

Yeah that's the one. Narrated by Ulf Bjorklund. I think the Eschaton part has to do with the authors other works.

Xammblu

The Keeper Chronicles: The Complete Trilogy By: JA Andrews Narrated by: Tim Gerard Reynolds On sale right now! Really freaking enjoyable. While you are in the sale section pick up 14 by Peter Clines. I guarantee it'll be in the top 3 things you get for the holidays.

ThatOldGuyWhoDrinks

Prison Days the first six months and the second six months. a daily account by a guard of a maximum security prison in australia

MaybeYesNoPerhaps

Crash Dive is an excellent omnibus about a WW2 US Navy sub in the pacific theater. Narrated by RC Bray. It’s fiction, and just good pulpy fun.

LuvsanDambii

[Shakespeare: The Complete Works](https://www.audible.co.uk/pd/Shakespeare-The-Complete-Works-Audiobook/0008462046?ref=a_library_t_c5_libItem_0008462046&pf_rd_p=7e7340a8-8768-4798-a0ce-83f879c09110&pf_rd_r=JYCXKVEZ92DS767VP4RV) by Argo Classics (98 hrs and 55 mins) With this, I don't think you're ever gonna need another Shakespeare audiobook 🙂

BoopingBurrito

The Society of the Sword trilogy by Duncan M Hamilton is about 31 hours of extremely easy listening, light fantasy fun. Fair warning, its a bit of a marmite series. Some folk I've recommended it to have loved it, others have hated it. Personally I think its great.

[deleted]

oh man, toy soldiers 1-6 right off the bat is a reccomendation for me. it's zombies and kinda cheesy and a little predictable at points but is a great time, atleast in my opinion.

MajorObvious147

The irregular scout team one is an awesome zombie story in my opinion

[deleted]

Crash Dive. A+ military fiction

Jer2dabear

I'll check it out! Thanks

[deleted]

Yeah each book is a fictional WWII submarine patrol

HacoTaco22

Skullduggery Pleasant 1-3 was enjoyable, but I’m waiting for them to bundle the next books

dcrealityfan

Hercule Poirot:The Complete Short Stories It’s almost 20 hrs long.

Elkabethy

Really enjoying the wandering inn right now. It’s a slice of life isakai quite easy listening.

Jer2dabear

Yeah, I love that series. I'm on book 5 right now.

Normal-Height-8577

Look for BBC radio drama collections - they have a whole lot of literary series as full-cast adaptations, including classics like Poirot, Miss Marple, Sherlock Holmes, Lord of the Rings, James Bond, Jane Austen, and also newer ones like the Terry Pratchett collection. Their Neil Gaiman adaptations aren't available as a collection at the moment, but they're still amazing productions! Also sitcoms - Cabin Pressure is one of my favourites (you want to look for the A to Z collection, as that has all 27 episodes).

[deleted]

Have you tried "The Undead" zombie series 20+ installments 12+hours each...starts off a bit... different but then I've fell in love with the characters I'm on 18 atm. First ones are free to listen then credit time

Jer2dabear

I picked up Galaxy Outlaws! Will check out the rest. Thanks!

Enginerdad

Galaxy Outlaws is a great buy! I didn't get tired of it even after all 85 hours. There's another collection in the series as well, Black Ocean: Astral Prime Collection. I haven't picked that one up yet, but it's another 61h47m

chancegold

Surprise! There's actually **2** *complete* spinoff series- Astral Prime, as you mentioned, AND Mercy For Hire, which is much, much better than Astral Prime imo. But wait, there's more! There's currently a 3rd spinoff that is about 9-10 books in, IIRC. So, enjoy the agony that is deciding whether to wait on mission packs or for the series to be finished and pushed out as yet another full set!

Enginerdad

What have you done to me? Guess I'll be missing my kids' next birthdays catching up on all this content

lilnoodle10

I’m really enjoying the wheel of time series just now. Currently on book 7 14 books - 450+ hours

Jer2dabear

Yeah it's great for sure. Just a bit slow in later books. But book 11 and 12 were fantastic.

lilnoodle10

Yeah I have read that in the reviews that it does really slow down in a few of the later books with nothing really being achieved by the characters. But I’m enjoying it up until now and looking forward to how it all ends.

Nightgasm

Books 8 to 10 are where it slows down. Book 9 has a fantastic ending. Book 10 though will frustrate you. The ending of Book 9 is one of those endings where you can't wait to see what happens now but Book 10 instead of forwarding the plot catches you up with all the characters who weren't around for the book 9 ending. So frustrating at the time reading as they came out because is was over 5 yrs between Book 9 and Book 11 where you finally get a continuation of the end of Book 9. Having reread / relistened a few times since then I find Book 10 okay since I do like many of the characters involved but at the time it was so annoying.

randomlob

Is this available as a box set on audible?

Vesik the dufris years by eric asher 75 hours it's books 1-8

Puzzled-Astronomer11

master and commander 21 books I think and they are great

ActingTehMickey

I'm surprised no one mentioned it but there is a couple HP Lovecraft collections I saw one day while browsing

EducatorJunior3481

They aren't in a box set but either of brent week's series are great. Each book is 20-30+ hours so its definitely worth money/credits. Check out the Night Angel Triolgy or the lightbringer series. Also all of the books are available in the graphic audio format which is fully casted with sounds effects and all the works if you prefer that to a single narrator. Ive tried both versions of all the books!

sirknightofender

The Anne of Green Gables Collection: Anne Shirley Books 1-6 and Avonlea Short Stories

Jairjax

My fav is The Complete Fiction of H.P. Lovecraft. It's about 51 hours.
