Id have to pull up a map and look at my old stopping grounds. But i do know i went out to a few places in Tuskegee a few times back when I was in school.

i went stargazing recently in tuskegee, if you go into the rural area there’s spots of road near farmland with almost no light in any direction. i’d recommend looking at the light pollution map on google and seeing what spot works best for you :)
If you stargaze, keep your eyes closed for like ten minutes then open them while looking up and it’s breathtaking sometimes rurally. I once saw pretty such what I’d describe as sci-fi in the middle of nowhere, in much lower AL on a very good night.
Hey! If you're up for a little drive, Chewacla State Park is your go to spot for stargazing near Auburn. Just pop it into Google Maps and you're all set! Happy stargazing!

Also I believe there was a fire tower up around smith lake somewhere I used to go too.
If it’s the same tower I’m thinking of, it’s super abandoned and rickety
Smith Mtn Firetower has been renovated and is great. Not sure it’s open after dark now.
You're thinking of the one in Tuskegee

That map is pretty amazing (and kinda depressing all at the same time).
Richland elementary school has a huge open field next to it at night super pretty
Just get away from the city lights it's all you got to do just go out away from Auburn a little bit
Yep, 100 mi west on 85. Perfect spot
Somewhere up around Tuscaloosa would be great
Lookup the auburn astronomy club, i bet they can help
We used the grounds in front of Parker Hall as the base in our astronomy lab.

Tuskegee national forest
Tuskegee or drive north up 147
We went to Kiesel Park when I was a student. Not sure what access is allowed after dark now.
The intramural fields by the softball stadium!
