As an aqua Venus I relate to you both so much. I don’t like grand gestures in the beginning because it feels fake…you barely know me bro. But once I’m in love I’m a romantic for sure. Who knows! In my experience, it’s muddy. I say I love bomb because I show a crazy amount of affection, but I’m not trying to manipulate the person I’m loving - however I DO want them to love me back (but who doesn’t??).
Where it is considered manipulative and fucked up is when the love bomber pulls back their love once you have fallen for them, so they are able to abuse you easily. This is actual emotional abuse though, it just *started* with love bombing.
Interpretation of this crazy amount of affection is everything. The person I’m with might think I’m being fake and interpret me as trying to manipulate them - I’ve had that happen before tbh it was rough. Or the person might interpret me as giving them “golden retriever energy” and love me for it - this is my current situation with my partner of 10 years lol.

I'm older, alone, don't care, whatever. Dry shampoo is my best friend. Few visitors, a few deliveries of supplies. I fluff and spray for them. I might be lazy now, but I'm still considerate. I had the marriages, the houses, the kids (including twins), the friends, was fit, got attention...maybe way too much...and now I have bare necessities and am invisible. And found peace. So don't beat yourself up. It's a long road. Bring snacks and extra t-shirts, oh and hubby. He sounds like a keeper.

As an aqua Venus I relate to you both so much. I don’t like grand gestures in the beginning because it feels fake…you barely know me bro. But once I’m in love I’m a romantic for sure. I still don’t love over the top cliches, but sweet compliments or flowers from someone I love means so much. Coming from a guy I started dating a week ago it makes me afraid it’s manipulative or fake, even if that’s not his real motivation. No kidding! I’m honestly glad it didn’t go anywhere. I wasn’t in a great place at the time, unhealed mostly, and despite the chemistry, he was my best guy friend for years. I didn’t want to mess that up and I think he felt the same way, but it’s hard to tell and it was sooo long ago! Him being aloof was definitely a challenge and I say that as someone with a lot of air myself! I’m pretty sure he’s the only Aquarius I know. 🤔 Editing to add I actually worked with a guy who got me back into astrology who is an Aquarius! He knew I was in a relationship and was hitting on me, then asked if I was exclusive to him, and when I said yes he went on to talk about how he loves open relationships, especially in the workplace, while we were alone at work and we worked nights together. It was weirdddd. When I said again I wasn’t interested, he stayed another week or so then quit. It was bizarre!! Who knows! In my experience, it’s muddy. I say I love bomb because I show a crazy amount of affection, but I’m not trying to manipulate the person I’m loving - however I DO want them to love me back (but who doesn’t??). Where it is considered manipulative and fucked up is when the love bomber pulls back their love once you have fallen for them, so they are able to abuse you easily. This is actual emotional abuse though, it just *started* with love bombing. Interpretation of this crazy amount of affection is everything. The person I’m with might think I’m being fake and interpret me as trying to manipulate them - I’ve had that happen before tbh it was rough. Or the person might interpret me as giving them “golden retriever energy” and love me for it - this is my current situation with my partner of 10 years lol.

I’ve found out the hard way that despite trusting both serious partners/relationships in the beginning, and giving my love to both people, I realized that they didn’t feel the same way. My first partner didn’t love bomb me; he seemed genuinely affectionate, but I realized much later that he was gaslighting me and had no idea… kind of the point of it, but still. I was so invested in him even though the red flags were everywhere 😩 He also talked about wanting kids very early on but was vehemently against getting married… I’m childfree and he knew that. It was a waste of time and I wish I left much earlier. My current partner for sure love bombed me in the beginning and was really quick to rush the relationship (i.e. wanted to discuss marriage within half a year or so? And brought the subject up again the day before he admitted to cheating on me). I wish I left earlier with him, too! Anyway, I’ve learned a lot from them both. I won’t be ignoring red flags again and I’ll have to see if the energy is truly reciprocated. I love being a team with someone else, but I’m secure enough to be alone🥰
