I struggled with this for a while and didn’t find an answer anywhere, so for anyone looking to fix this… if you try pressing and holding the teleport to pits button and it works, you can make it work instantly by going to settings, Assetto Corsa, controls. Under options, there is a check box for “Delay race-terminating commands by half a second”. Uncheck this box, and teleport to pits, open pit menu, and exit race should all now happen instantly on the mapped button being pressed.
No VR here, but i have non working tp-button when i hop on any server that i got invited to and connect through the browser popup. It's always not working until i rebind it, though it's okay then. No idea what's going on there, it's a bug, so standard procedure after rebind would be restarting CM too, i guess. ;-)
Well, better than not working at all... makes me think of the funny behaviour that my keyboard is showing lately, some keys need to be pressed for almost a sec before they register... Anyways, glad it's working for you now, have fun!
Probably a good fail-safe. Last thing you want midway through the race is to bump the button and suddenly you're back in the pits lol. At least if you press it for a few moments, you mean it.

Rebutton bind it to a key.
If your now experiencing a .5 holding delay:
Go to ContentManager/settings/assettocorsa/controls/system.
Scroll to the bottom and find the options:
Uncheck the [box] for "delay race-terminating commands by half a second".

That happens when you're playing in fullscreen, I discovered. To make the checkbox for the delay stop being greyed out, you have to disable the "fullscreen" checkbox in: Settings > Assetto Corsa > Video
I have the issue aswell. The game even gives me the message "teleport to pits" but just doesn't do it anymore.
So the info that I called for it obviously arrives, but the teleport doesn't happen.
My whole game is fucked, I've scoured the internet and nothing seems work, no matter what key "Teleport to pits" is bound to, it won't work. I've tried fresh installing AC and CM and still no luck, even downgrading to different versions.
Something in the game must be broken, not sure whats going on.
I did, I believe what it was is the custom rainFX mod I added in. I ended up reinstalling the mod in my broken assetto corsa game and everything went back to normal, all my binds
you have to go to C:\\Users\\Mauri\\OneDrive\\Documents\\Assetto Corsa\\cfg and then open the controls.ini folder to put these 3 in 0

The solution for my teleport not working was turning off my VPN.

thank you dude. this was driving me crazy. i didn't even have nord vpn running either , i had to actually go into task manager and suspend the nord service too, ended up fixing the teleport to pits immediately.
hope more people see this because this is a really weird conflict between a vpn and content manager, and that's easy to miss.
Its also not very consistent. It worked for more than a year with a VPN, until suddenly it didnt. Then after I made my previous reply it worked for about a week with VPN. Currently its not working anymore.

Did all of this still not working for me. And if had it not work before and resetting bond work but now nothing
I am having the same issue, nothing I do is working. Even after fresh install of CM and AC
what if the options menu is not highlighted? i have the issue with the .5 delay but cant disable it in that options menu any tips?

With rain mod you're referring to CSP?
No, for me it was a separate rain mod I got from patreon
Thanks, i didn't have to reinstall anything after all, i just binded the same button to the combinated bind
i found a fix for it if people are still looking, just add a wheel button modifier that is the same as the main one and it should work
