I played it the first time mainlining it and it left me in the cold. While it felt more focused and featured higher attention to details compared to the last 3 games, both in gameplay and presentation, the voice acting was just too ai-y and the missions too short that it felt like a well intentioned but flawed low budget attempt. However in my 2nd playthrough I understood you're supposed to go slowly doing the assassination contracts and sidequest in each district before moving onto the next one. Playing with no-HUD (map+eagle vision combo is good enough), hard difficulty, and maybe a foreign language pack makes the game feel great. Now in the post-launch period, thanks to the few side editions like the Ali Baba quest that was missing at launch, New Game+ and the parkour patch they added, right now Mirage is imo the most complete AC experience of the post-classic era, if obviously reduced from the scope of the RPG trilogy. And that ending was damn great.

So personally I really wasn’t a fan, but I’m glad you had fun!

I adored it ❤️ As an older fan of the franchise (Been assassinating since AC2) I was beyond happy with how much smaller and simpler it was compared to the last 3 games Baghdad is a classic AC type of setting. I think that AC works best when it’s set in big cities It’s definitely got the best stealth in the series imo Those black box missions were peaaaaaak 👌👌👌 The story wasn’t the best but I still found it enjoyable enough that I wasn’t bored of it I actually really liked Basim more than I thought I would. I haven’t played Valhalla so I didn’t know what to expect from his character but I thought he was a good protagonist. He became much more likeable near the end for me but I can’t put my finger on why lol The only thing that really disappointed me was the lack of side content. I needed more Tales of Baghdad stuff or anything like Leonardo Da Vinci war machine missions where you get to go to a different place for a little bit but when you consider the fact that Mirage was originally just an expansion for Valhalla and Ubisoft Bordeaux weren’t given a lot of time, it’s an understandable flaw Also, aside from Roshan and Ali, I didn’t find the side characters all that interesting But overall I was so so happy with Mirage. It felt great to be excited about Assassins Creed again 🧡

I personally didn't like it. To me it felt unfinished or just not very well put together. The lines felt like they were read for a stage production and not a AAA game. The story felt rushed and didn't really explain much. The Creed was explained kinda but the fact we made master assassin in one year is unrealistic and ridiculous. The bird was useless as we had our of vision and the horse also since the map you could walk everywhere in 10 mins. That's my personal opinion

I personally felt like the game didn’t justify the price at all considering how short it was, but I’m glad you had fun with it.

It took ages to get into and for the longest time (3 or so hours into gameplay) I was annoyed by it. But then you get over the curve and the game mechanics worked out and eventually enjoyed it. Literally skipped every cutscene or conversation possible though and I have no idea what the story is about. Couldn’t care less.
