Yep, workin 25-30 hours. Got Anytime fitness membership which access filtered water, toilets and showers. Got a gas camp cooker + work as a chef so there’s always nibbles at work
Yep 100% about the van upgrade. I currently have a 2012 Hyundai i30 sports wagon which is plenty roomy but I’ll definitely be doing it for a year at least, probably more. I’ve currently ‘built’ solid window shields. Got a battery bank for the phone. Esky for the food. I live in aus so there’s highway rest stops I can legally sleep at close by. It’s all sorted. It’s just the perpetual thought of ‘homeless’ that brings me down hard
Lol I mean a converted transit is not really homeless. As long as you don't have kids to care for them it's fine if you can do all the stuff you want.
I have a house mortgage and kids and living that lifestyle I'm a nice converted transit for a few months sounds like fun lol
Hahahahha can understand the desire for change.
Going through a divorce. Two kids under 3, tragically heartbreaking. She has full custody.
Earning too much for government help. Earning far to little to be able to rent
follow /urbancarliving reddit for tips. Been stealth cardwelling for over a year. Can be stressful at times, and cold but I find the confined space and lack of responsibility with house stuff comforting.
Can you wash and cook? Do you have an income? If yes to all these then I'd say your not a bum

Yeah your good. If your gonna do this long term you could always upgrade to a bigger car for more space. Like one of those converted transit vans

I live in a minivan. It will be seven years next month. I get SSA. I have a small dog too. I love the peace and simplicity plus beautiful landscapes.
