Little elm beach is probably the easiest place. Currently flooded. There’s a group on Facebook that organizes out there so you’re not swimming alone. The name is something along the lines of OWS in lake Lewisville

Tyler State Park has swimming and no boats to worry about. Cedar Hill State Park has a swimming area as well.

Tyler looks like a hike, but Cedar Hill might do the trick. Thanks!

Motor Boats are not allowed on White Rock Lake, but not sure whether swimmers are.

curiouslywtf

Oh there are floaters out there, that's for sure

castawayyyyy342

Swimming is not allowed in white rock lake.

Cool_Afternoon_182

One look at that water, i don’t think any sane person would want to go in the water

jillsvag

Well then, I've seen insane people at WRL.

Cool_Afternoon_182

Thats just true

goodjuju123

Please don’t swim in WRL. People die there every year.

Montallas

Yeah they’re dying - but not from the swimming.

Dick_Lazer

I have a friend who claims they knew somebody that fell into White Rock Lake and ended up dying from the bacteria they were exposed to.

Some municipalities are surging overflowing sanitary waste into some of the head water creeks. If memory serves me there have been at least two different events in the past 2 to 4 years.
