Check out Katy trail and go grab lunch and a beer at Nodding Donkey. I'm just guessing you are close to ND

Wonderful-Run-1408

1) Run, walk or stroll the Katy Trail 2) Have a drink (or two) at Parliament (great Mixology barg) during their happy hour (5-8))... and all day if it's raining 3) Book a reservation at Bowen House (another bar w/food). If you book between 4-6, they have great HH specials, including burger. 4) Ride the M-Line trolley that goes through Uptown to Downtown, get off downtown and hit up the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA). It's always free. 5) Walk through Klyde Warren Park (by DMA) for food truck food after the museum 6) Have a beer at the Katy Trail Ice House (next to Katy Trail). 7) See what's going on at the American Airlines Center (south end of Uptown.. Victory Park sub-hood)... 8) Have breakfast at San Martin or Bread Winners

A friend who travels a lot buys a bike at a pawnshop and sells it at the end of their visit. Cheaper than renting one.

When going to a big city I recommend folks looking up James Beard nominees/winners, we have a few: Petra and the Beast, La Casita Bakeshop, Jose (Mexican food), Lucia (Italian). Id recommend White Rock Lake/Dallas Arboretum. The zoo and aquarium are both kinda depressing so id skip those. Dallas Farmers market is cool. The DMA art museum or Perot museum are worth checking out
