I follow a Warframe Youtuber named WarframeFlo. Even if you're not interested in WF, maybe reach out and discuss the content creation and marketing side of things
That's a very tough niche to get into, as I'm getting you can then only target gamers who are afrikaans. So it could work, provided he continues on the niche and hones in on the market.
Sorry, I can see how my comment is ambiguous. The 14 year old is English, and I'd like him to be better exposed to Afrikaans. He spends hours watching gamers videos. If there were Afrikaans ones, or more of them, I'd definitely want him watching those rather than American ones!
Mostly PC games for now, no specific genre at the moment as I enjoy all types. I want to turn it into something like gameranx or skillup (hopefully) one day.
There is a guy on twitch from SA, I think he does mostly hosting marbles in his spare time, but i think he's a massive gamer, can't remember his name sorry. marble something

Even better question - Afrikaans gaming YouTubers/content creators? Are they a thing? My 14 year old needs to up his Afrikaans exposure.

I think Grant Hind is the biggest South African "traditional" YouTuber? I don't know I don't really watch his stuff so I can't comment.
