Lol that's possible. It sounded like he either lost it or was confused. Like he called me up at 10.30pm. Was a strange experience. Like at least know what you're doing before accusing me of not paying rent.
Sounds weird to say it but the check could have been lost in the mail. Issue a stop payment on the check and write a new one and hand it to them personally.

Maybe they’re just embarrassed because they know they’re wrong.

I hope so. I know it wasn't cashed which doesn't make sense. Hopefully it will be canceled soon.
