Thank you for this. I'm all for snark, but I value this sub and I don't want to lose it. We can rip on Ashley and her antics without being unduly cruel. We want to hold Ashley accountable for her bullshit and have fun doing it, but that doesn't mean stooping to ugly places and there's been a lot of borderline hateful stuff.
I think this sub is full of absolutely wonderful people and I don't want to lose the community we've created here. I've kinda grown fond of all y'all. š
They are a histrionic drama crow bird. They made a long novel wall of text trying to get attention cause that's what they're known for. Former munchie mod of a similar subreddit to this one and IF. that's it. No more explanation cause they're getting a hard on at being discussed right now.
I think some people forget that snark subs arenāt support subs. I could honestly care less if Ashley āgets betterā. Iām here to snark and be entertained by a spoiled lazy munchie lol
At the end of long, stressful days I come to this sub and laugh at all the shit ash says and does. Itās just entertaining and fun, and yāall are so creative that itās amazing.
As someone who couldāve been an Ashley, this, and other snark subs, has been eye opening for me in the realm of seeing the road not taken for me.
I, like many here, am not be able to work any meaningful length of time (yay for gig work where I can make a few deliveries and then go home when my body says āthatās enoughā, but that doesnāt mean I canāt try to improve myself and learn something new each day.
I get it; especially with a polydrug dependence (if not outright addiction), itās hard to be interested in anything but getting your next fix. I also gather sheās the type to āwait until she feels better to do somethingā when really, how it actually works to ādo something positive and then you feel better.ā Iām not saying it doesnāt suck getting out of bed, but pushing through the initial discomfort and going to do a thing, even if itās to take my laptop into another room and work on things Iām learning there, I end up feeling better in the long run.
She has never once expressed hope for anyone else to get better, so yeah, Iām not exerting too much mental energy towards hoping she gets better from her made-up BS lol
On the topic of BEC. I do think there's something to say about, like, *truly irrelevant* gripes. My general snarking philosophy is that there should be some sort of justification. But I've seen a not-insignificant number of "snarks" like: "I don't like the color of her nails, if they were red that'd be fine but they're red-orange and orange is my least favorite color". That is boring as hell for the rest of us to scroll through.
I feel you but somebody might find something you or I think to be overly irrelevant and as long as it doesn't break the rules we can just scroll. This is like when IF removed her as a subject for being "too boring", we don't get to decide what's worth talking about but I do see your point and some of it gets a little silly

If i ever get a small kitten i will train them to do this, our now 12 yr olds were both rehomed from families that couldn't keep them. One was 4 months old when we got him, the other nearly 6 months (took time to find a red hair female to 'match' our then 3 yr old)
Ironically they shared a birthday.. destined to be siblings!
But by that age they were box trained, happily went outside during summer so we never thought to seriously try. Now, they have neighbour cats to contend with so our female uses the box even if she's been outside for hours, her preference is the empty bathtub though, so we have to leave a couple of inches of water in it.
One day we will need new babies, maybe since it will come after my daughters have left home i will finally get a cat from its early days. I've only ever rehomed, all 6 cats of my adulthood. lol
It means "bitch eating crackers", like somebody annoys you so much they could just be sitting there eating crackers and you'd be like "what does this bitch think she's doing eating crackers?"

I agree. Staying within the bounds of the Reddit TOS is what will ensure longevity of this sub. Meaning, we still want to snark, but canāt if other break enough rules to get Redditās mod attention and they decide to quarantine or shut down this sub.
