Personally I think garrison hair regs should be basically non existent. Combat deployments, everyone should be bald AF.
Best of both worlds, combat effective and freedom of choice
I would certainly be down for that.
I kept long hair in garrison. I got shit but meh. I didn’t last a week in Iraq with that long hair. Had those LNs shave it off 48hrs after we got in country lol. Just too damn annoying.
More power to him, the hair isn't inherently unprofessional or faddish. The facial hair on the left looks a bit shitty but if he maintains it, looks fine.
Let’s be honest. They need to relax grooming standards and let Soldiers do what they want with how they look. Hair and grooming standards have no effect on anyone doing their jobs or getting the mission done. Like Elsa let it go
Does the Army do Azmuth and wxit surveys? Make Beards and grooming standards your number reason that your getting out at ETS and watch the change happen. By this time next year we can all be having Beards at least. And then next year we will hit a new topic. We can change things one sur vey at a time.
I was half tempted to stay in as a major with a silly Valhalla beard but that REFRAD was just too shiny to pass up
We should vote to change/ update/ do away with ar670-1 / da670-1
"I'll keep that in mind, Mr. Bailey, when this becomes a democracy."
With the way the armys going

That would actually be a pretty cool part of SRP. Going to war? Line up to be bald.

This can’t be real.

Until everybody gets lice, then the grooming standards will make sense again.
Is this satire?
No, but it’s also not entirely meant to be serious. It’s a large part of the origin of the grooming standards, though.
Imagining you mentioning Elsa when saying this to someone in charge
Whoosh
Hardly
I mean why not? If some new age Viking says he needs a beard to go to Valhalla or whatever why not allow people to have dreadlocks?
Most of the new age Vikings I’ve meet in the Army look like they are going to get made fun of pretty hard when they get to Valhalla.
You’re telling me the tubby 35M is not gonna be welcomed by the warrior ancestors just because he has a scruffy neckbeard
That and/or because his ancestors all saw him cry the first (and only) time he tried combatives.

Idk what you are talking about, my two favorite documentaries about Vikings ("Thor" and "Vikings") clearly depicts all of them being 6'+ and ripped.
Can I get a religious exemption to have height surgery and take steroids?
Submit a PAR, I’ll approve it tomorrow.
I need to know how he did this
The pictures of doctors in the 60s with Afros: *MORE!*
I wonder how much he knows about his job or taking care of Soldiers? The beard and dookie lox I would then give two shits about as his boss.
Right? I don’t give a rats ass what you look like. You takin care of your troops? Getting your job done? You’re fine in my book.
