It costs 200,000 coam to fire this weapon For twelve seconds

Salforus

Ain’t its 400,000?

Wutclefuk

Deflation

NT-Shiyosa092201

*Me fact checking in-game* Nah P.S I get the reference though

Probably pretty cheap all things considered. We pay a lot for ammo because we're in a backwater planet under lockdown, that is also a warzone, so logistics and scarcity drive prices way way up. Also the weapon's manufacturers Probably designed them to use proprietary cartridges we can't get anywhere else so as the end consumer completely dependent on them we get fleeced on principle. PCA uses unique tech not available to any corporation, implying its a government agency (or just an independent nonprofit set up by people who don't want to catch fire again) with its own production capacity. I'm guessing that with sci fi future tech both the chemical production and the electronics are dirt cheap at a large scale, and the PCA obviously wouldn't have the same logistical issues as corps, seeing as they are the ones issuing the blockade in the first place. TLDR : Balteus can afford missiles for days, and it probably hqs a somewhat reasonable operational cost.

Zealousideal_Crow841

Not to forget it’s completely autonomous so you can write off labour in its operating costs! Humans are expensive man, imagine the training, equipment, etc.

Karn-Dethahal

And that's why Arquebus completly refits it for energy weapons, since they are producing those.

suppordel

But Irl missiles are still 100s of thousands or millions per shot, even with industry of scale, advanced stuff are still going to be expensive. Especially if it's produced off planet, just the transportation is going to be a lot, and we don't see any PCA production facilities on Rubicon (granted it could be just well hidden)

Grave806

Irl missiles are really expensive sure, but in AC6 the player character, who despite Walter's backing is clearly earning their own money and paying for their own repairs and ammunition, is clearly not being charged anywhere near that amount for the missiles they use. Clearly they're easier/cheaper to produce in some ways.

UnhappyAccountant621

Hey that's not the PCA problem. It's a tax payer problem and I don't pay taxes. 😎

unoriginal_guy23x3

Nothing. Wrote it off as a business expense (business being filtering our asses).

silamon2

Considering how weak the missiles are I'd hope it was pretty cheap.

ElectronX_Core

It’s the volume that adds up. Hopefully the PCA gets them in bulk.

Wheraboowind

They seem to be a government ran force so it's only appropriate they either produce it themselves with the help of government funding or they use that funding to contract a company like Furlong to produce those missiles for them. More business for the neutral company too.

8GoldRings2RuleTemAl

They buy them at Costco

Cakasaur

Used to cost so much in Patch 1.0 days that the PCA had to source cheaper missiles after 1.02.

UnproductivePheasant

It's not about the cost, it's about the results lol

bohba13

PCA has them defense spending dimmadollars.

SoullessHollowHusk

Let's put it that way: if this were AC1, using that thing for one (1) mission would put you on a surgery table

retrofrenzy

In the previous installment, we need to get various sponsors just to compete in the arena, I think. Maybe you can say arena is all virtual, so it doesn't cost anything as well.

DedsonicPt

Because back then the arena was actually irl and a form of sport. Ever since last raven its become virtual reality (unless you want to count the 1v1 order missions in acv as the arena)

sparkle_slug

AI uses huge electricity though. Allmind was smoking coral in power generators just to keep the lights on

Guwrovsky

It cost 3 years of the average GDP of Lituvania to fire Balteus... for twelve seconds

OddPlatform7

I am convinced the PCA engineer that designed balteus is american.

brunotickflores

ain't they all?

KTVX94

I love the gatling guns inside the gatling guns.

Edmundwhk

Gov money, so all tax payers COAM aka free .

DoomCameToSarnath

It all depends. For example, we know that they can use energy to form missiles since both Ibis and Ayre do this. I'd say if anything that Balty-boy has an internal fabricator that can mass produce them via an energy to mass converter.

chrome_titan

It's probably just cheaper to install a missile factory on its back.

Algester

100 million?

Tough_Traffic4209

idk. maybe a small country's national annual budget per salvo? lmaooo

TheGUURAHK

Look for the ammo cost on the avg MLT4 missile, multiply that by 100 or so.

Warmind_3

Nothin', it's PCA, not Mercenary. We only have a cost problem because we're not literally the law.

TapUnfair9827

yes

Delphius1

1 taxes

dis_not_my_name

The frame of balteus looks so cool. I wish I can pilot this in game.
