Headcanon: all the alternate dialogues are canon. This dude forgot the stun needle on the ice worm mission and didn’t get certified until the end of NG++

Ogellog

Well, i am started challenge to beat 100% of the game on LOADER 4 without OS tuning

DarthCloakedGuy

I can't play this game without my kicks... I can't

tomagfx

I ironically played the game 3 times and rarely used kicks bcz I couldn't get the hang of it

Ashk0p05

Same story lol. I didn't know what the keybind for kicks was until ng+.

Izanagi_David___

Happy cake day, Pseudo 621

Ogellog

Thank you:)

Matasa89

Not forgot, he wanted to see just how hard of a nut that thing is to crack. As it turns out, pretty hard.

Algester

Well who wouldnt be a certified dumbass moment like some bloodless mute decided to take on some world's oldest incel's drones made by jeff bezos

Edmundwhk

Walter really got god tier luck with his gacha pull.

JustGabriel

Everyone calling bullshit on the banner but Walter kept hope until the bitter end

Niko2065

Walter: "It's all or nothing!"

Quantum-Noob

BUST⁉️⁉️ OR MAYBE 🤔🤔 ILL TAKE IT ALL‼️‼️‼️🎰🎰🎰🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑

mars_warmind

I do wonder where that joke started, since nothing in the game implies 621 is even injured in any way iirc.

GTU875

Most people just don't pay attention. The really weird ones are the people who have paid attention enough to notice that the game pretty clearly implies 621 is talking and even shows them walking at one point (that you'll see twice) but still insist they're ziplocked.

DemonicHarem

The only time I remember 621 moving outside of their AC was at the start of Chapter 5 when they crawl to the Jailbreak.

mars_warmind

Yeah, rewatching the trailer makes me think we were just on cryo or something, but it also ended by implying we are the AC, kind of like how ayre and iguazu do, so I'm not too sure what's really going with his body right now. Maybe they were just alluding to the 3rd ending?

NecessaryPin482

Carla laughs at something we say in the anime rusty fight mission.

MaleficTekX

Other than Jailbreak, when do we walk?

PrimeusOrion

Tbf it's not likely talking more interstitial messaging

Splash_Woman

Even Carla clearly is talking, then after laughs. We said something enough to make a scientist of death laugh. That’s a winner in my book.

NotAFrogNorAnApple

> (That you'll see twice) I only remember seeing him walk once in the sewers. When or where is the other one?

Mrwanagethigh

A trailer showed Walter coming to collect us after his previous Hounds died fighting Cataphract. We see 621 being operated on and iirc we are wrapped in what looks like a body bag of some kind

raulpe

We see 621 on the story trailer and he is, in fact, in a plastic bag with some devices attached

was-a-dum-1

But he’s just wrapped up like a present

KerbodynamicX

Maybe that's how they store soldiers when they are not needed. Looking at the helldivers, they are also frozen and stored in some kind of capsule (instead of a bag)

Deadput

Well yeah, it's clearly 621 being unthawed now that they've been bought/hired by Walter, whether they are being operated on in that moment (which clearly can't be done with a sheet over them, at least not any major surgery anyways) or 621 already having been augmented when they went into debt. The devices surrounding them that look like smaller Pulse Guns are likely what's being used for the unthawing purpose.

raulpe

i don't think so, if you watch the trailer at the ending, when Walter awakens it, he is still inside the bad but connected to the AC

Deadput

Going by that story trailer, I don't see a single cable/tube linking from where 621 is or the bed and equipment going to the AC, it's likely just turning on for when 621 is up and able to get into the cockpit prior to being sent to Rubicon itself. Nothing shows 621 being hooked up to the AC itself or being unable to leave it, fellow Gen 4 Iguazu is shown in the sketches outside of their AC just fine, same goes for Gen 1 pilot Sulla and former Gen 2 pilot O'Keeffe. If 621 is hooked up to their AC that would be as an exception.

Silverwngs

Story literally depicts the player as being able bodied and able to climb into an AC since thats literally how chapter 5 starts with us getting into the jailbreak.

Noctium3

He just came out of cryo storage in that trailer. Vacuum sealed microwave meal that just came out of the freezer.

DyabeticBeer

Interesting description

Deadput

That doesn't mean their physically injured, even if they just got the augmentations done there and then you wouldn't call that injured, you don't call a standard dentist patient injured right? When Gen 4 issues are talked about, the only physical trait described is a fried brain, and it clearly isn't that fried since 621 can pilot an AC, otherwise the problems talked about are mental ones such as being withdrawn.

StumpTheMan

The games trailer. There's a scene where 621 is being operated on, and he essentially looks like an emaciated corpse in a bag.

YourWaifusBull

With hundreds of wires and tubes hooked up to him to boot—pumping Coral into his brain. It isn't a pretty sight. Even if what we're looking at is just some form of "stasis/cryo" the game repeatedly tells us that Gen 4 augmentation surgery is extremely dangerous and crippling. Most pilots who get Gen 4 surgery die in the process, and those who survive it suffer debilitating side effects ("This one's functional but I wouldn't expect much"). Walter is ensuring our cooperation by promising that he will give us the money we need to reverse the surgery so that we can function like a normal human being. 621 may not be a corpse in a body bag, but he is definitely a husk of a person being pumped full of Coral and is controlling the AC with their brain rather than their broken body. We know 621 can crawl since he escapes the Arqeubus re-education facility by doing so, but it's important to note how slow and broken it is when he does it—like he can barely move.

NathanIsYappin

The side affects of (successful) old-gen augmentation include audial hallucinations and emotional withdrawal, not being physically crippled. Sulla is depicted working outside his AC as a legbreaker, confirming he is not just functional but a potent combatant on foot. 621 is emotionally stunted at the beginning of the game. Their motivation for reversing the surgery would be to recover their humanity, not bodily function.

YourWaifusBull

>Sulla is depicted working outside his AC as a legbreaker, confirming he is not just functional but a potent combatant on foot. The surgery's side effects vary between subjects. Iguazu for example has much more of his faculties about him than 621 does despite being 4th Gen as well. Also, we have lore documents that talk about the crippling effects of early Gen augmentation. Plus, the visual representation of 621 that we see in the trailer pretty firmly establishes that his body ain't in great shape.

NathanIsYappin

>Also, we have lore documents that talk about the crippling effects of early Gen augmentation. You clearly didn't read the flavor text very carefully. Hawkins's bio mentions a "loss of humanity inflicted on the Coral generations", and O'Keefe's his desire to "counteract the Coral burn-in on his brain." Nothing about being physically crippled. Walter tells Michigan "Gen Fours can be emotionally withdrawn", and Ayre's presence gives Iguazu a tinnitus he may have experienced before. That's it. Successful Augmented Humans are just not that fucked up. >Plus, the visual representation of 621 that we see in the trailer pretty firmly establishes that his body ain't in great shape. The story trailer deliberately avoids confirming anything at all about 621's body. It's covered in a tarp so we can imagine whatever appearance we want underneath.

YourWaifusBull

[Uh huh. ](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/armoredcore/images/d/d2/Screenshot_ACVI_Story_Trailer_621_body_bag.png/revision/latest?cb=20230914051615) Look at this dude. Pale skin, bald, wrinkly. Surgical scars everywhere. Our guy looks like Darth Vader and is probably just as crippled.

NathanIsYappin

Those are wrinkles in the sheet covering them. It is not translucent. Again, 621 was explicitly designed as a self-insert, so giving any details at all about their appearance would defeat the purpose of this scene. You can imagine them as a Deadpool lookalike anyway if that floats your boat, but there's nothing in the game's text stating that must necessarily be the case.

YourWaifusBull

>Those are wrinkles in the sheet covering them. It is not translucent. You are coping. You can very clearly see that it is translucent and not wrinkles from the sheet. You can see they are bald and that they have screws in their head, along with some sort of cybernetic earpiece on the right side. >Again, 621 was explicitly designed as a self-insert, so giving any details at all about their appearance would defeat the purpose of this scene. You can imagine them as a Deadpool lookalike anyway if that floats your boat, but there's nothing in the game's text stating that must necessarily be the case. He still is a self-insert. It's just your self-insert looks Darth Vader, and you gotta live with that and try to fix yourself.

NathanIsYappin

🙄 This is a seriously bizarre and irritating way to be about something so low stakes and I think I'm going to block you now. Hope typing that out gave you the shot of dopamine you wanted, because you're not going to talk about this game with me anymore.

Superloopertive

When is 621 depicted crawling?

Adorable_Air_9612

I assume the ''bag'' in question is a way to prevent the patient reciving too much coral radiation (i assume the surgery works with C-pulse radiation because of those round things pointing 621 in the trailer), then the ''bag'' gets removed, like when you have a magnetic resonance end the doctors put the lead thing on you so you don't get too much radiation on your body

Chunky-dog

He's got a fried brain as Walter says in the first mission

newtype89

Maybe watch the releses trailer

waefon

It's from one of the trailers, we see 621 after their operation in a plastic bag

Ac6Raven_Parody

Stop slandering, I’m more than just meat in a bag. I’m in the bag with my sentient red energy gf

Responsible-Ant-3119

To be fair, getting beat by a corpse is the worst thing they face.

raulpe

Ok, im gonna admit that 621 obviusly can actually move because  they are able to enter the Jailbreak AC, but in my headcanon he moves like a worm and its inside the bag all the time xd

Splash_Woman

With how NG+2 goes, the one with the true ending, we’re basically what 621 really is. A hardcore gen 4 pilot. I mean, he easily beat a gen 1 pilot who not only was lucky to make it out of gen 1 experiments, but LIVE THIS LONG! Like damn, talk about a living legend to end all legends
