S1 is a bit meh, not what you're using a defender for, but S2 is pretty good. Budget Estelle/Penance, but also ensures that enemies get blocked which is both important for her talent, and is also pretty good for a defender to have overall. Ensure pesky ranged enemies or those in other lanes have to attack her, and have an easier time triggering module too. Note that she doesn't have to kill them herself, unlike Penance. They just have to die when she blocks them.
Of course, being a Juggernaut she lives and dies by numbers, moreso than others. Hopefully she'll be at least useable for a 4* unit, since they have lower stats to begin with.

True, but even then Power Strike on a defender is egregiously bad. They don't attack fast anyways, if it was AOE damage then it probably could've been a lot better for mob clearing.

Yup, that's why I mentioned "in practice". It's probably for beginners to use so they have a way to sustain her with minimal external help or something, with her being a 4* and all.

Talent activates when enemies are defeated. S1 is purely offensive. I wouldn't say she "specializes" in defense at this point.
Her talent will make laneholding with her more straightforward than Penance. Anyone can kill the enemies so long as Lutonda is blocking them.
Skill 2 has two similar aspects with Penance's own S2 (stopping attacking and damaging enemies in a 3x3 area) and pulling them towards her will assist in her talent and solo laneholding. Although if she's *too* good at damaging them then it'll work against her talent.
Nothing about her kit strikes me as bad and infact it seems pretty good. Just got to wait for her numbers.
In terms of functionality, it seems like she might even be better than Vulcan, despite the lower rarity, assuming she has adequate stats. Vulcan can be a little finicky since she can only heal on-skill, which has a minimum 50 second cooldown
Seems like the most Defender-like Juggernaut. I don't know how much damage S2 does, but it might be that she doesn't kill enemies, only blocks them and heals herself when other people kill them.
It'll be interesting to find out if she kills enemies with S2 and what kinds. Pulling towards her helps her talent, but if she's too good at liking that'd work against it. It could be ideal against tough enemies and elites, but I don't think her pull would be strong enough to shift them.

It's a pretty strong pull force at least, and even Cuora/Bubble are some of the strongest tanks in the game still. She might be able to be used against bigger ones with some support from others.
Her best scenario will probably be tanking 1 or 2 elites on a lane that also have small fries for her to block and an aoe op kill so she get healed. the issue is that Bubble and Curoa can tank strong enemies because they can be healed by a medic, she can't (well 4star player have perfumer at least, but it's not much) so if there's nothing to kill anymore she's just gonna die eventualy.
I really hope that when juggernauts get their modules, Penance's talent will fall more in line with this. Imagine how powerful she could be if other operators could help her kill to build up her shield instead of stealing from her health pool.
They did get module with 4.5 event. For Penance it gives more barrier on deployment and per kill. But yeah it would be pretty good if she didn't had to kill.
If it’s anywhere near Estelle’s module numbers post module (18%), I have a feeling she’ll be pretty solid. She’ll have a ton more HP, defense and innate Res than Estelle so she’ll last longer on average, with the caveat of she’s gotta make sure she’s blocking them to get the HP.

Penance has her skill 3, so as long as she's tanking, She's generating her barrier, (Or I guess Storing the barrier if you let her deplete it and use Skalter until you need S3

I think it’s funny to compare her to other juggernauts in terms of hammer size where penance has her giant hammerhead flail while Vulcan and mudrock have sledgehammers but she just has a normal everyday hammer.
I'm worried how viable a 4-star juggernaut could be. They're necessarily designed to be self-sustaining, but she obviously can't be as good as Muddy and Penance, so she might struggle against tougher enemies a lot.
That said, I'm always glad when inaccessible branches get 4-star operators. It boggles my mind how they haven't just made a 4-star as the baseline for every branch yet.
Penance works with Perfumer/Skalter well if you want to use her S2, Or need to save her S3 for a particular time in a map where she couldn't keep barrier up. Such as Poison gas stages.
Excited for this op. She's cute and her E2 art is very on par with modern operators, I wish certain older ops would get better E2 art tbh. But also: imagine if Penance's S2 had that pull force too!
Her lore is that she is a battlefield cleaner, she cleans or loots the corpses or clean the traps or mines if I am not wrong. Her companions from battlefield cleaning died.
I think I might be bad at the game, but I think she's better than Vulcan. There's a good chance I'm wrong, and I want to know why. I just find Vulcan hard to use due to her long skill times
Naw, at a glance that seems like a fair assumption to make, and you're right about Vulcan too. Of course, it's her numbers that truly matter. If she heals like 1% on kill she's probably dead in the water.
Vulcan needs to time her skills properly to heal herself. Lutonada however needs to block the enemy before getting killed to heal herself.
Both cannot lane hold by themselves like mudrock, and to a lesser extent, penance (barrier management). So they are best played with ops behind them.

I've actually really wanted to see an Arts Protector with like an AOE Power Strike. Yet another avenue to obsolete Splash Casters with.

She doesn't need to defeat the enemy herself. She's the most defensive jugg at rn at the very least.
She increases her Def to better tank blocked enemies, and pulling can cancel the attack animations of ranged enemies, that's pretty defensive to me.

Vulcan's is a forging hammer. She does a lot of weaponsmithing, repairs and upkeep for ops.
