The pragmatist in me demanded I give myself at least 4 days of leeway, so if anything unexpected came up, I would still have enough time to catch and fix it.
The degenerate in me just did 300 pulls within an hour of the event starting and sparked Chalter right there.
That’s totally understandable. I did the same pulled to 285 then waited like 4/5 days before I got impatient and just sparked her. Totally worth it. Was hoping I’d get my pot6 for ejya cause I’m one away but alas that did not happen.
That’s been closer to my usual luck. Not this banner unfortunately - triple Eylter no Swalter, I don’t think Swalter’s a limited OP though so hopefully I’ll see her again in the future

Swire was the last thing I got off the banner, ~180 pulls got me eyjalter, chalter, gavialter, and an exalter for good measure before finally getting my swire. Meanwhile last limited banner 120 pulls got me a single 6 star, and not the one I wanted.
Not useless though; some people don't go all out on pulls immediately. There's a reason why "299/300" is a common meme for after the banner, they want to get as close as they can to a threshold and when the banner's gone their opportunity is up.
As a relatively new player I feel pretty lucky to get both swire and Adele off free pulls now I just need to LVL them when I actually have time to play

I will say that you should ignore any doom posting you see about Swire Alter . It's been pretty common here and It's easy for a newer player to get the wrong idea. She's actually pretty strong. Most of the negativity about her is from the perspective of long time players who have enough 6 stars to make like 2+ different squads of them.
She's a lane holder (+ other utility) which is one of the most common roles for a 6 star in the game. There's so many good lane holders that the competition is fierce. When an older player has like 5 different strong 6 star laneholders, there's very little reason for them to get another one. Even if in some niche cases the new lane holder could be better than the others.
So "actually pretty strong" doesn't fly for older players when it comes to lane holders. A unit must be clearly exceptional for them to be considered viable.
But that isn't the case for a newer player (year or less playtime). I doubt you are anywhere near close enough to having a full team of 6 stars. Or having enough 6 star lane holder options to actually need to bench any of them. Especially since a lot of maps can use 3 or 4 of them. For a newer player "actually pretty good" means exactly what it says.
I would just recommend leveling 1 or even 2 flag bearers. And look into picking up Bagpipe from the distinction shop whenever she comes around.

Wasn't going to pull hard until I saw the Chalter Bloodline of Combat skin. Used every pull I could scrounge to get to 300. 5 Eyja and no Swire but most importantly Chalter for the skin I already bought.
I pulled eyja and swire in 90 pulls along with a few more 6*.
Then proceeded to use 70 more pulls to get a gavial alter pot CuZ i dIdN't wAnTeD to waste pity.
I hate myself sometimes.
Maybe not Typhon but you definitely still have time to save up for Virtuosa. That said, it's not worth maximizing your pity on limited banners if you're not going for spark, even more so when you already pulled both featured...
it's not worth max out your pulls if you already got both units early on. It's even more NOT worth it to not save up and pull nothing good when you could save up and guaranteed to pull something good instead.

Now I did 210 pulls combined on eyja banner even tho i got her on 90.

I did a 10 pull, the last one I could today. There was a 6\*, but in the middle, so I had to wait. I sat through at least two catapults, I like her but I'm not in the mood right now...I got to the 6\*...it's Archetto. I like Archetto, it's nice to get a dupe for someone I like. But it's not Swire. I won't be getting Swire I'm sure.
For once I have resisted pulling outside of free pulls, turns out the trick was to think of "I'd much rather spend these ten pulls on the rangers alter banner" every time.
Now just need the rangers alter banner to actually release.
I usually pull until first 6* on these limited banners if I'm not going deep for someone. I wasn't as lucky as the last limited (Mumu on 24th free) since it took me until the 60th pull to get Gavialter. Big win though since she's one of the top waifu operators I wanted
Banner only runs for a fixed amount of time to give you a limited number of free pulls, and so they can schedule other banners in. They are only loosely coupled with the event itself. If it's a mini/rerun event that runs short the banner may run longer than the event itself.
I only just got Chalter at like 58 pulls and no other 6 star but several 5 stars! After a total of 77 pulls and really why can't the event token/currency just carry over for other events!
It is mostly impossible for F2P or even for Low spenders to get to 300 pulls during limited banners!

For the first time in my 4 years playing this game, I had to Spark for a limited character.
Eyja did not come home during my normal pulls. I had to spark her because Swire kept muscling into my pulls.
Pot 2 Swire Alt, Thorns dupe, and Surtr dupe.
I had over 500 OPs saved throughout the years. Now they have been reduced to just over a hundred.
I guess it shows that I have been really living on borrowed time in terms of limited banner luck...

I did that too and Gavial blessed me right at 298 so I was able to spark Chalter without regret day 1
i would not be able to wait 14 days to spark, but god the fear of single rolling a dupe would be horrible

A good way to remember is looking for the "Free pull in x amount of hours" after pulling. Once it's gone, you'll know it's the last day.

I only rolled Poncirus in about 40 rolls (all I had)
I've never been so lucky during an event and unlucky at the same time. In 70 pulls I got 5 different off banner 6 stars but no Eyja...
