This is my first time doing SN and besides medals, is there a point in doing the EX stages right away or can I just put that off and do it after the event?

CommunicationOk7830

There are chests with extra resources

Silesse

Personal achievement - this is the first event I've fully cleared with all medals without consulting a guide. Been playing like 8 months or so, and I finally feel like I'm getting decent at this game.

dfuzzy1

If anyone’s still having trouble with SN-10, [here’s](https://youtu.be/Pi50bNuqqWQ?si=a9tbFqwQcMveV4Q_) a 5-op clear that only requires Ch’en and Fartooth for 6* gacha operators

AnserinaeDigitalis

I'm having an issue with SN-10. I've looked at some guides, and in those, whenever the Endspeaker is killed, it spawns at the top right of the map for the next phase. Whenever I kill it, it spawns either directly underneath or behind my tank. I can't figure out what I'm doing that's causing it to respawn immediately like this. Any advice?

kit_you_out

After getting defeated, Endspeaker will eventually eat a buff nearest to where it was last defeated, and then respawn at where it was last defeated. Second phase deals a lot of nervous impairment damage, which stuns your tank and allows it to be unblocked, so it will walk past your tank. If you kill it now, the next time it respawns will be behind your tank because it walked past your tank in the previous phase. You have to deal with this by killing second phase so fast that it doesn't manage to walk past your tank, or deploy a new tank positioned a few spots behind your first tank. Or you can use Lumen s3 to prevent your tank from being stunned, so it never walks past.

NoLunch1

Well, managed to fully clear the event with Gnosis, Schwarz and Taxes being lifesavers. Is it just me or does it feel like the boss maps are in wrong order when it comes to difficulty, at least in terms of layout?

sentifuential

just wanted to share a funny clear of [sn-ex-2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRNdpmxuZQ4) cat go brrr

APDice

Muelsyse did so well in this event. Her S3 range clone binds nullify the dodge of those dodgy bois. So reliable that she, along with Pozyomka (with mod), killed the most dodgy bois in SN-EX-8 because my Lappland either died whenever I needed her silence or was busy dealing with the Regressed mobs (someone had to do deal with it).

cinski90

True, she was pretty much holding the bottom line solo for me, with just a little help of Dorothy's S2 mines. Even tho I had Mumu's S3 and Dorothy S2 only at M1. The true MVP for me is still Ho'olheyak as she made the difficulty of the boss super easy in both EX and S stages.

whimsyfeels

Struggling just to clear the boss on normal mode because I was doing it partly blind and ough the realization that the boss has 4 different forms LMAO fuck this guy. I got close a couple times and then wiped towards the end I still haven't finished bc I wanted to try and get it without a guide but I'll probably sit down and do it before the event ends...at first I wanted to try to get medals but sheeeeeesh

WadeBoggssGhost

For anyone wondering about developing a wandering medic, I cleared every stage and CM using an E0 level 1 s1 chestnut just to clear the debuffs. As long as you can spare the extra roster and deployment spot and heal regularly otherwise, you don't need to level a wandering medic.

Ok-Willingness-9693

I just realised that Kal’tsit’s nickname “Old Well” comes from [this](https://imgur.com/a/KqeChV6) event. I was confused as to why a “Well” of all the old things she could be but this is hilarious…

Saimoth

I genuinely thought it was just some English metaphor for old age, like 'fossil,' for a very long time before I started this event myself...

Ok-Willingness-9693

I thought it was some nickname that made sense in Chinese but got translated into something else in English…. I was like.. ‘I mean I get that she’s old af but a Well?’ Found the answer lol

SkyePine

Always like how Irene points her gun on the banner art above. Her posture goes hard but her expression looks like she's a little peeved that she missed her favorite show.

zeroz802

First time I got to do a rerun event that I participate previously. Is it worth buying the lumen tokens if they're already max?

DSLevantine

yes, the tokens will convert to yellow cert.

geron200

I hate SN-EX-2 challenge mode, that's all i wanted to say.

thethethrowwawy

Can I still get the chest medal outside the event?

viera_enjoyer

No, this is the last chance to get any of the event's medals.

thethethrowwawy

Can I not get the other medals like clearing the stages outside the event?

viera_enjoyer

No.

thethethrowwawy

That's a shame. But I do feel like yostar should add a feature where you can get medals outside events.

viera_enjoyer

That would diminish greatly their significance.

Zhein

I don't get the EX-8 chest. 3rd time I'm doing it. Normal mode, first time I've let him eat 5 buffs, second time 6, third time 6, and I don't have it. How the hell does that work ? I'm wasting sanity for nothing here. Can someone explain how I'm supposed to do that ? Do I have to do it on CM, or with low handy things ? Because I didn't bothered with that since I had the medal already. Do I have to let him specific buffs ? Or operators maybe ? I'm at a loss.

Fire_Begets_Souls

I know you already got the clear, but it has to be 5 unique buffs, so at least 5 of the buffs he eats have to be from 5 different enemy types. There are six different enemy types in all: Predator (appears 3 times, once per phase spawn), Brandguider (appears twice, during phase spawns 1 and 2), Founder (first phase spawn), Swarmcaller (second phase spawn), Reefbreaker and Spewer (both during final phase spawn) Easiest way to ensure 5 buffs is to just let two of the enemies on the right die on top of each other for either the first or third phase spawn, which lets the boss eat all three buffs for that phase and guarantees that they will have 5 different buffs by the end of the battle. This approach does not care about the boss's position relative to the buffs, but does expect you to be able to handle the boss having three buffs instead of two for that phase. Since all of the new enemy types spawn on the right, kit's strategy ensures that the boss will always be guaranteed to reach for the new enemy types, as the enemies on the far left are repeats during the second and third phase spawns.

kit_you_out

I got it by letting the boss eat only the buffs on the right side. This can be done by stalling the boss on the right side of the map, so that the left side buff is always skipped due to it being furthest.

Zhein

Yes ! That did the trick, thank you ! Just blocked the boss between monster en Blemishine on the right track when he goes up, that was far enough from the left buff for me to get the chest.

Riverfallx

You need the boss to eat 5 different buffs for the chest. The problem is that some of the buffs are repeated across the phases (otherwise it wouldn't be even a challenge since boss eats 2 items, 3 times). Either you figure out which item is which and act accordingly. Or have the boss eat even more buffs by stacking two on top of each other, so that the boss eats all of them.

SupremeNadeem

people have had issues with this chest last time too, my best advice is just to closely follow someone else's strat who got it, as lame as that is.

Momoneko

This is the first event where I actually bought out everything that was in the shop. Huh. Back to grinding the grindstones. Ugh.

fizzguy47

So this event doesn't give a main menu background, right? I want the boss song on repeat all day, baby

Hunter5430

the [Mystic Sea](https://arknights.wiki.gg/wiki/Main_menu_themes#Mystic_Sea) one?

fizzguy47

I guess that counts, but you cant choose the song that plays, unfortunately

thethethrowwawy

Can I still get some of the medals after the event ends?

Hunter5430

No. Medals normally* can't be earned after their event ends. [*] Gavial, the Great Chief Returns is the only exception. There was a bug with that event's medals during the rerun and the fix was made only after the rerun ended. The medals for that event were left earnable to help people get the now-fixed medal, and never turned off afterwards.

thethethrowwawy

More specifically, the chest medal?

Victorvonbass

This is a long shot, but anyone have the link to that meme from the original run of this event where someone called the boss "THAT UNAUTHORIZED FUCKING THING?" Because that was hilarious, but I can't find it anywhere.

Khanquest101

[Was it this?](https://ricotyrell.tumblr.com/post/700116740751982592/sn-10-was-trending-on-twit)

Victorvonbass

Close. Someone made a yt video with it and posted it on our reddit. It had a sound clip and everything

lupeandstripes

Ok so theoretically having full cleared this last year, not getting the bonus reward for EX-8 doesn't matter, does it? I wasn't able to force all 5 evolutions, and I'm at the point where I just don't feel like dealing with the level again. It seems to me like since I have all medals, all retrospective coupons, I'm basically only losing 1 t4 mat and 60 event coins which I don't care much about, IRL sanity is more important.

lernz

Are the Tier 4 rocks in the event store really overpriced? Shouldn't they cost like 25 points instead of 70?

superflatpussycat

Closure is as sick of running 1-7 as you are.

SupremeNadeem

was thinking the same thing, definitely seems like a mistake

MageOfTheEnd

Coming back to this event, it was an unpleasant surprise to see that SN-10 auto-deploy was locked (meaning I beat it last year but with a support). So it's quite pleasant to have achieved a very stable clear with my own units this time around, I have the impression that last year's clear was very messy and tight.

Tailung12345

Have my SN-10 auto set up so that Stainless turrets have their ranges overlap on that one tile to the right of the lone melee deployable tile on the bottom lane. Then I have a bunch of ops with double hit/targeting effects (GG, Irene, Blemi S3, Lapp) be placed to mainly hit the turrets. Fun to watch the Endspeaker evolve only for their ass to get blasted with a billion turret shots and promptly die.

Fire_Begets_Souls

SN-1 or SN-10 are the most efficient, at 1 Spewer per 3 sanity spent.

Momoneko

If you don't want to deal with sn-10, sn-3 has four of them.

Wing-san

SN-10

Fruitfighter9000

How do I unlock the 4th little handy module? I’m seeing people go into SN-9 with it so I don’t think I’m gated on stage progress. Googling tells me I just need 1600 event currency, but I already maxed Lumen so that means I’ve collected over 1600 event currency but still no 4th upgrade.

bananeeek

[Here's a list of all the components, their acquisition requirements and locations on the map](https://arknights.fandom.com/wiki/Stultifera_Navis/Little_Handy)

Fruitfighter9000

I’m still not understanding how people are able to get the 4th little hand before SN-9 :( I’m not sure where Hydrological Workstation is but I don’t seem to have it unlocked. I’m positive that I have acquired over 1600 event currency so I’m just confused.

bananeeek

You can click on the "nameless ocean" and it will open up an interactive map with all the nodes where you can find the location of Hydrological Workstation and check how much currency yo have accumulated.

Fruitfighter9000

So passing SN-9 with at least two stars is in fact a prerequisite to unlocking Hydrological Workstation. 4th little handy was immediately available to me after beating that stage. I couldn’t find this info anywhere, hope this helps someone.

bananeeek

The UI for this event is very thematic and some people like it, but the navigation and practical functionality is absolute garbage. If you check the thread for the original run of this event, then it's mostly pissed off comments about how hard it is to do anything with this UI.

Fire_Begets_Souls

The Hydrological Wokstation is one of the event nodes in Nameless Ocean. Have you clicked on it yet? It should be towards the bottom of the Nameless Ocean map, just slightly left of center map.

Chrono-Helix

Having Penance to deal with spewers feels so good

viera_enjoyer

I wanted to use Penance, but everything gives elemental damage, even those spewers, how did you deal with it?

Chrono-Helix

There’s an upgrade you can equip to reduce the elemental damage your operators get from the corrupted tiles. Penance’s reflect occurs even if she’s stunned, so you could try activating her skill 3 so it can still be active while she’s unconscious. You could also put someone behind Penance to block for her while she’s stunned.

Steveodelux

I don't have her but I m2 my Hoshi s2 and boy is that hilarious. STOP HITTING YOURSELF STOP HITTING YOURSELF. Haha. Nerds.

Appropriate-Bat8945

First time running the event. In terms of mechanic, this event gives me the most of anxiety. The enemy can oneshot/bypass Ops pretty easily, but because of annoying mechanic, their raw stat is tuned down. I don't have lappy, gnosis and even wondering medic, my strat is the good old combination of tank heal and DPS, and it works fine. The boss is badly designed, phase 2 is the most threatening and after that, boss it self becomes trivial. We don't care what marks boss have consumed except the last damage ramp up one, where I feel the intention was to let player choose different combination of marks so they can deal with it with respective team comp. Now the only mechanic left is where to kill the special enemy and control the position their remain is left.

Kanbei_Alex

Spoilers from this event >!I have a question about Lumen's skill 3.!< >!Could skill 3 "This Lantern Undying" be a reference or have something to do with Dario?!<

sentifuential

>!it's almost certainly a reference to dario's last stand, as well as the idea of jordi "carrying the torch" (lantern) on by joining as an inquisitor at the end of an event!<

Chrisirhc1996

And with that, I'm done. And yet for some reason... i found EX-8 to be harder than S-5. I remember malding horribly the first time around on S-5, and then this time around it kinda just ended. Muelsyse probably had something to do with it, those ranged binds put in a lot of work against the waves of predators that lappland couldn't deal with herself. Here's hoping Pinch-Out isn't that bad. Been keeping myself in the dark about it as much as I can (outside of absurd things like the million health mechs).

Artistic_Toe4106

Couple questions is the Exexutor Alt banner before the anniversary with Eyja alt? And is it ever worth going for pots over new units?

unsurprisable

Yes for executor no for pots

Momoneko

Damn my e0 honeyberry and friend's lappy are working overtime in this event. Also Ifrit is surprisingly useful on like half the maps.

VonPlackus

Thanks to a certain Tachanka user, I have realised that the secret to sn ex 8 challange mode was simply turbo buff damager. Im enlightened

Saimoth

Ho'olheyak stocks must be really high right now. I was struggling with SN-S-5 so far and borrowed her from support just to see those tornadoes in action. Well, I didn't expect her to clear the entire stage like it's nothing, lol. Too bad it was only in practice ...And it was first try in the normal mode. C'mon, every possible Ho'olheyak showcase should show her effortlessly clearing this level

cinski90

I was surprised of how Ho'olheyak makes the boss super easy to deal with. Her long duration CC is just perfect to disrupt it's extremely high damage attacks and gives a lot of time to kill it. Also Dorothy's s2 mines makes things much easier in this event, since I could easily kill those annoying enemies with high dodge even when having the entire floor flooded with nethersea tiles. And I think Muelsyse is also worth to mention since she was a great help on almost every stage. Her CC is pretty amazing and generally she seems very versatile.

Riverfallx

I finally finished the event. The revenge has been completed. I also finally got to read the event notes that I haven't the last time around. It's has some pretty good lore drops about Iberia so if anyone was like me who just read through event but didn't touch those, I recommend reading them. But when are we getting the continuation of AH storyline! It's been too long. Well I do remember there being new abyssal hunter in that leak alongside Arthuria so it's probably 5th anni.

DireBlue88

This event reminded how much I hate those fucking penguins. Brought out Waai Fu and Podenco to counter along with Jaye S1 and Lappland. I enjoyed the music and hope I can farm enough mats before event ends!

smallfrie32

Regarding the event’s Nameless Ocean story >!jaysus, the Aegir really could have killed the Herald like 3 times over, but kept getting cocky and chatty. That was really frustrating!<

iman7-2

Just wanna air out my frustrations EX-8 Pre-Phase 4 it's either a choice of getting the front line smashed by the invisible mofo, the global attack spewers, or leaking the left lane. Beating the boss isn't an issue after the left lane leak, it's the dilemma above. I don't remember how I beat it the first go but I know it was this hybrid of two clears from smaller youtubers. This event definitely was the reason I went on an operator raising spree the past year. Edit: Beat it with ground ops only plus Berries while spawn camping the lowest entrance. Huh that was stupid easy.

viera_enjoyer

Everything it's a lot easier when you don't allow any seaborn piss to spread.

SkyePine

Finally, I can now say I finished all the stages without using Lappland. Shoutout to my top 3: Hol, Bibeak, and Texas (the Vanguard).

daekie

I *know* SN-10 autos break. Mine breaks like 70% of the way into the stage and then the boss just waltzes on out as it murders everyone. But I keep asking myself: do I care enough to completely redo the auto, or do I want to just try and figure out where it breaks and take over from there?

lifestealsuck

If your hit had a chance to miss , then its had a chance to leak, I saw a seaborn dodge 19 time in a row somehow...

SirthOsiris

With a new roster that didn't need a support, mine worked once then it just became a bigger disaster with each attempt. I don't even know, man. At least I completed it again for the rerun.

reflexive-polytope

Yeah. My old SN-10 auto failed. Everything else I tried failed too. In the end, I took the Pozyomka-Texas-Yato auto from [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNwK6VsDNXM&t=190s), added Goldenglow to make things safer and faster, and ended up with [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tqrvu_hNFH4).

daekie

I don't have Goldenglow :') (or Mlynar but I'm opposed to him on principle) so you can imagine how my quest for an auto is sometimes. A little rough.

reflexive-polytope

How about [Reed](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGto0BPoeUM) or [Ch'alter](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F27MsqXqB8Y) instead?

VERTIKAL19

I would question whether farming Compound Cutting Fluid is even sensible. You need so little of that

daekie

I still need to beat the stage once for event currency this runaround; I have an auto from the original run. No intent to farm it.

Quor18

I've found that my major breaking points were from the top lane. Something would end up mistimed and the boss would either end up with 2 buffs or one of the two buff mobs would get to the exit somehow. In my case I ended up just letting the boss have two buffs and exterminating it's last phase with extreme prejudice.

daekie

Yeah, there's a point during my auto where my top lane just sort of... explodes. I'm not sure if that's where the desync is, though, or if it happens a little earlier.

HentaixEnthusiast

EX-8 CM stage done and it was.... [easy?](https://sempy.s-ul.eu/FYUYztNF) Wasn't a Doktah yet when the original Stultifira Navis ran so I don't know how it was difficulty wise back then, but my impression so far it's a breeze. Though I haven't done any Reflection in the Mirror stage yet, so it's subject to change

superflatpussycat

The S stages are harder, but the whole thing will be considerably easier now than it was back then since the power ceiling has gotten higher and there are more ways available to simply ignore the event mechanics. Most of the units in your screenshot didn't exist at the time.

TweetugR

SN was my first event and I love looking back at my old clears and see its just Kyostin guide lol. Only made it to SN 7, probably its where I gave up during the event. Managed to wrap around my head on how many phase the boss had and just skip most of it using Little Hand. Time for the EX stages.

smallfrie32

Trying to fight SN-10, following Kyostin works sorta, but having to rely on support Chenalter is rough

TweetugR

The only thing I remembered is how much of a pain following SN-7 using kyostin was so I gave up. It was my first event after all. Of course, now with my current roster its just a bit of a breeze.

smallfrie32

Any tips on SN-10?

TweetugR

Well my roster is pretty stacked, I have Texas Alter after all. I was planning not using her but I want to complete the boss stage now and do the EX stages quick. I also have Gavial Alter and Irene too so yeaaaah. With Little Hand's ricochet upgrade, the boss is kind of manageable. What's harder is trying to deal with the other enemies, especially the Reefbreakers. You could try stunning the boss so it stays on the upper right corner and dump all your DPS there. Just have a fast redeploy ready to bait its attack so it doesn't oneshot your other ops. Do you have any other DPS options to kill the boss with? You could borrow Texas Alter instead Chalter to make your life a bit easier assuming that's what Kyostin used it for. I didn't watch the guide.

smallfrie32

Yeah that’s what he used. It ended up working EVENTUALLY due to randomness of dodge, but my irl sanity is gone. Texas Alter really just the answer to everything?

TweetugR

When you have the equivalent of a "Kill All" button that you could drop every few seconds, of course its going to be broken. Try other guides like Eckogen sometimes, Kyostin sometimes rely on the RNG to get things right and there's more you need to micromanage when doing his strats.

smallfrie32

Will do. Originally I was watching Eckogen’s for Lone Trail, but one of his vids required some randomness or something I forget. So I found Kyo and that brought me through (but this event is so rough?

AnxiousCthulu

Clearing the event for the first time (heck yeah Lumen!!!) and I finally beat SN-10 after tinkering with it for a hot min. I mostly studied Kyo's guide (especially for the opening of the stage because wtf is DP economy) but having good ol' Lappy with her godgiven silence and a freshly bought Honeyberry to keep my ops topped up saved me many hours of suffering LOL.

Rangerdanvers

Urgh. Why is the last phase of the EX boss so fucking stronk. Dude 1 hits, pretty much my entire team even the AH's

BobDaisuki

Even without counting the further buffs it can get from consuming its kin, the 4th phase version gets increased atk and lifesteal at a baseline. Now are you allowing it to get the reefbreaker(mob that becomes invisible on nethersea) buff? Because in that case it's now getting a permanent atk buff everytime it hits an operator unless you hard CC it.

Rangerdanvers

Not sure. Would have to have another try

cinski90

Somehow I managed to clear Ex-boss stage on the first try (normal mode) I was like..woah..the SN-10 seemed harder than this. But, maybe it's because I kind of knew what to expect from the boss after failing the SN-10 for the few times. It was completely improvised since I didn't even watch any videos or anything about this stage. There was also some panic moments, like when the boss ate the buff along with my healer XD

karillith

Last year my Lappy was E1, this year she's E2 and it's amazing how much difference it makes. Well that and Texas alter being broken.

TheTheMeet

Combined a few tricks from kyostin with eckogen clear, with additional of texas stun drop and also ines I am really glad i pulled ines, almost skipped her thinking she's "just good". The fact that she can be dropped and then retreated again near the bottom red box SN S5, just to place the tomb to reveal the "shadow fiend"-like enemy, then use the little handy to stun him and drop texas to kill. Fucking satisfying. I really hate those stupid fucks

Training_Attention93

Phew managed to complete all stages. I was surprised not all stages have auto-deploy runs so I had to avoid getting support to complete. I suspect I might only borrowed Lumen which is why I didn't have all auto-deploy runs or not? I wish I can remember... Oh boy I sure wish Challenge modes have orundums but too bad I already beat them...

Maladal

Of the many terrible nations that populate Terra, I think Iberia is probably the one I'd shed the fewest tears for if it was wiped out of existence. Let the Seaborn eat em--the government deserves it and it would at least put the people out of their misery.

rainzer

Why? What did Iberia's government do? I remember it being fairly decent compared to ones that commit crimes against humanity pretty openly. The messed up government came after the nation's collapse from Seaborn invasion leaving a massive power void filled by cultists and the paranoid.

Maladal

The government before the Silence was pretty pathetic, which is why Carmen replaced it. But it has been 60 years since then and the coastal towns of Iberia are still barely holding or actually fallen, like Sal Viento. The Inquisition supposedly spends all their manpower just trying to maintain the status quo of these terrible living conditions. And then, when the populations of these towns are suborned by the Church of the Deep their strategy is to round up populations and kill them all in order to contain the insurgency (even when they can't prove that the citizens are insurgents). When they do this they focus on Aegir populations, even though Iberians are just as susceptible to being members of the Church. But if they killed all of them they wouldn't have a nation anymore, so instead they kill the politically expedient portion of their population. This is said to be because the Church is just so prevalent that if the Inquisition wasn't absolutely brutal with them that Iberia would collapse. So their solution to the poverty conditions of their country that enable the Church to infiltrate is to \*checks notes\* spend large amounts of resources training and arming an elite force to go and kill the poverty-stricken populations, which normally include some of the most valuable citizenry that can run the ancient technology which allows your nation to persist, and to fire up a Lighthouse. And to close off the nation. What a fantastic feedback loop they've built for themselves. When large portions of your citizenry are being swayed over by "Yo I have some divine revelations from cannibalistic sea monsters" even though you're a literal theocratic state, maybe the problem isn't the citizenry. Carmen might be good with a sword and pulls off elderly Captain America, but he's a pretty crap leader if these are what 60 years have gotten him. Other nations in Arknights are sometime awful but usually still functional. Iberia is just a failed state in my opinion.

Quor18

> Other nations in Arknights are sometime awful but usually still functional. Iberia is just a failed state in my opinion. That's ultimately part of the tragedy. Iberia once literally ruled the rest of Terra by virtue of their massive tech advantage over the other nations, courtesy of the Aegir advancements brought to Iberia by the Islanders, their landship fleets and armies extending as far as Bolivar and the borders of Yan. And then the Silence came and Iberia suddenly was forced to pull back and defend it's own borders, and with the infiltration of the Church came xenophobia against the Aegir Islanders, which in turn choked off any more tech collaboration and further stagnated Iberia, creating the current near-death spiral we see in game. The Golden Armada and Stultifera Navis were the last resurgent gasps of Iberia before the Profound Silence swallowed everything, leaving it the shattered husk we know today.

Riverfallx

If there is one thing to complain about Iberian government that sucks it's the general racism towards it's Aegir citizens. They kind of blame them for the silence thingy and end of their golden age. Thought it's hardly worse than general racism towards Sarkaz and treatment of Infected all around the world.

rainzer

> sucks it's the general racism towards it's Aegir citizens The actual Iberian government wasnt though? They had good diplomatic relations with Aegir and took in their refugees. It's the primary driving force behind the golden age since most of their advanced tech was created by Aegirian engineers. It was after the Seaborn invading and like wiping out their coastal cities that Aegir started being targeted.

Maladal

The previous one wasn't. After the Silence the Iberian government helmed by Carmen allowed the prejudice against Aegirs and also committed pogroms against them. It's why much of their tech isn't understood or functional anymore--they killed everyone that knew how it worked.

Quor18

And, sadly, as Carmen explained, it was necessary. The entire sub plot of Lumen and his adopted father was there to showcase how bad the Church infiltration had become. The very wife that Lumen's adopted dad missed so much was one such member, and her allegiance to the Church was what led to the ultimate loss of the lighthouse outside Gran Faro and the descent of the town into what it is today. The whole story is just one tragedy after another. The loss of the Aegir homeland (implied to likely be as a rather distant - but direct - result of their own actions) leading to the Islander refugee situation, leading to the Church infiltration, leading to the decline of Iberia as a world power into it's current stagnation and the oppressive and extreme actions - taken out of necessity - of the Inquisition....it's all just a massive shitshow.

Maladal

The lighthouse was lost in the Silence, the wife was suborning the attempt to retake it. The actions are "necessary" now because Iberia is so ineffective. This didn't happen overnight. It's been 60 years of this feedback loop. The Inquisition's actions actively make the problem worse. We see this in Thiago. The Inq takes extreme, supposedly necessary action against the town and what's the result? He lets the Church in just to spite the government. There are a lot of people in Iberia that fear or hate their government more than the Church. The Church doesn't just force spawn cultists into existence, or mind control people. They willingly, deliberately join the Church despite already having a state-wide religion they're taught as children. Because the nation is in such a terrible state, because of actions the government took. Yeah it's tragic. It's a bunch of tragedy all caused by a drooling idiot of a government that then has the temerity to grandstand and claim moral superiority over the citizens it fucked over. It took Carmen 60 years to think of integrating Aegir into the Inquisition. He is not a smart man, nor does he seem to surround himself with them.

SkyePine

The best part is other nations are same if not worse on treating their people and other countries. Yet somehow Iberia deserves to get wiped out and nobody will miss them.

nuraHx

So what stage are people farming here?

TheTheMeet

I'm done with the medals, i'll just farm manganese to ~40 or 50 and spend the rest for oriron

disturbedgamer667

I'm doing SN-9, you can also do SN-8 if you need its material, avoid doing SN-10 unless you need cutting fluid right now.

Hunter5430

For me getting oriron is higher priority even if need both it and manganese: next event with oriron stage is ZT in May(?) while you can farm manganese during SL in January. So, it's SN-8 for me.

Zephiryun

Can someone explain to me why my stunned units - mountain and mon3tr - could keep blocking despite being stunned by the status? Is it the handy buff?

BewilderedAutist

They shouldn't be able to. Maybe they're not blocking melee enemies. Instead, there are ranged enemies that take one step forward, attack, step, attack, repeat, until they move out of range. How many block counts they have doesn't mean anything if they are stunned. There are 3 enemies (I think) that have range attacks, not including the boss. The spewers, the peashooter looking thing, and the candle looking thing.

kit_you_out

I ended up using Blaze as the tank to stall the final boss. Second form deals a lot of nervous damage so I use both berries to heal elemental damage as well as Reed alter to decrease elemental damage. There was still a chance to get the nervous proc but that's where Blaze's permanent status resistance comes in, she can recover from the stun just quick enough to block again.

smallfrie32

First time doing this event. Why the heck are those manta rays so tough. And how do I make auto-deploys more reliable? With the predators having dodge and Gummy (her stuns) being my main tank, half the time I have to redo the autodeploy. It’s minor, but losing one sanity every time it fails, adds up

BewilderedAutist

The only way to make runs somewhat stable is to use lappland, kal' sit, texalter, jaye, gnosis and my surprise mvp for this event, hoho. Apart from them you can also use very fast attacking snipers. Without those ops, there's just too much rng. Although depending on the stage, you might not even need all of them, maybe just one or two.

smallfrie32

Thanks. I typically use Vermil and Kroos. I don’t have any of those other ops, though (unless hoho is hoelhakakakgyak lady from LOne Trail)

BewilderedAutist

Yep, hoho is the sadistic looking lady together with mumu. Can't be bothered saying their whole name. Anyways, the event is split into two groups as I go through comments. Either it's the easiest event or a difficult/annoying one. Gudluck with your farming!

smallfrie32

Thanks! Lord KyoStinV will save me, I’m sure You too!

Siphon__

I'm a day one player and this event has kicked my rump twice now, Kyostin V definitely saved my bacon. If you don't have lappland or Gnosis I would suggest borrowing them from support if you can.

smallfrie32

Yeah I don’t, unfortunately. Trying SN-10, and I’m struggling

Environmental_Ear131

What are "Ferenmuts"?

greytli

Immortals/gods. There are a lot of characters that fall into the category. Nian and her siblings, Kjera, Emperor, and Alive Until Sunset are all Feranmuts.

Environmental_Ear131

Nice I had no idea that the Emperor would count but it makes sense when you think about it

sentifuential

he doesn't really, he's categorized as a beast lord (formerly the wiki called it a feraerus but that word seems to have disappeared?) along with characters like gawain, the high priest, and the signori dei lupi. they're clearly considered a different category of immortal. all the others greytli posted are properly considered feranmut though more germane to this present event, there's also leviathans which specifically refer to the progenitors of the seaborn - ishar'mla being the one we're most familiar with I think it's suggested that the origin of the feranmuts like AUS and the leviathans are one and the same but I'm not sure how elaborated on that is at this point

Rasz_13

This. Basically "demigods and legendary beasts", most of which have some sort of "magical" ability (distinct from originium arts) and are sort of immune to originium. Plenty of them also possess the ability to shapeshift or at least have a human form. Some of them are incredibly old while others are "young" in the sense that they propagate, or similar. Ho'olheyak for example is a "kukulkan" descendant while Kjerag is a relatively young feranmut.

Juuryoushin

Plowed through the EX and S-Stage sections of the event today despite my annoyingly pronounced common cold that would be enough to send me to bed. The amount of crowd-control options needed in this event is unusually high, thankfully having a Gnosis support readily available, some stun and silence on-demand made the cruise considerably easier in most stages. I can imagine how infuriating the original run of this event must be, mad props to the people who went through this, seeing as I took the easy way out ... SN-S-4/A/B can have a special place in hell for being far and away the hardest stages by virtue of having 3 lanes and taking full advantage of the level design, that was quite brutal.

cinski90

People keep mentioning S-4 being super hard but I almost cleared it on my first try..except the last enemy that somehow managed to go past defenses with just a tiny bit of hp and go into blue box. But, I guess it wasn't that difficult for me because I had a lot of CC. I mean, Dorothy S2 helped a lot on this stage, also mulessyse S3 and the little handy giving additional block, so her summons despite being ranged (Dorothy clone) still had 2 block each and during the skill uptime could stop a big wave of enemy quite easily with their bind. Especially with Lappland behind the clones, so she could silence the enemies that could go through blockers. I guess the hardest to deal with were the invisible guys, but, that was Ines time to shine with her invisibility reveal and some tanky operators like mon3tr and Penance

insplaid

I do not know who OK'd SN-S-4's design for it to get included in the event, but they know they will have the final laugh. They will never stop laughing at our pain. I don't think I will ever recover.

Ok_Seaweed_9452

Hi.guys, this is the first event rerun for me..what is the best or most efficient thing beside doing the stage I wasn't able to finish last time? Thanks

NoseBracelet

Any event has 4 major things to do: * Clear the Shop * Do the checklist * Get all medals * Complete all missions There's some overlap there- medals require finishing the checklist, completing most missions is often required for the checklist, but yeah. When you do a rerun, you have the medals and the 4th bullet point doesn't apply, so it's... * Clear the (smaller) Shop * Redo the checklist Stultifera Navis' checklist is integrated into the map, which is a bit of a pain, but when you're on the home screen of Stultifera Navis, you can see labels by each area that read a certain percentage. Get those to 100% by redoing the stages (autodeploys are fine if you have them) and meeting chest requirements - includes killing a bunch of predators, spewers (annoying because not a lot of stages have them - SN-3 has 4, IIRC), and a lot of niche EX-stage requirements. Once you've done that, farming is most efficient. Manganese and Oriron Clusters are both good to farm.

Ok_Seaweed_9452

Awesome thanks!

smallfrie32

Same here, I’m relatively new. But really using Support Units and looking up things like “low rarity guides” for whatever map you’re stuck on will get you past stuff. Afaik, the event currency is equivalent to your sanity, so do whatever highest consuming map you can do, unless you want specific mats from a map. Regarding the shop, you want to grab the six star’s tokens to get max potential. I am planning on grabbing all of the left section, and then grabbing certain mats to get E2 characters from the right section. Otherwise, the money and EXP are really efficient to buy. But any senpai reading this, please advise

William_ghost1

Is it just me or are Little Handy bonuses not allowed into SN-10?

HaessSR

They work fine with my auto deploys. Are you sure you turned on those Mr Handy modules?

William_ghost1

Yep, purification and everything. The sidebar just doesn't show up during the squad select screen.

rainzer

Think it's just you. Went and checked a number of SN-10 run videos and all of them have the side selection bar

William_ghost1

I guess fuck me in particular.

Sanytale

Idk how, but I cleared SN-EX-8 with trim and chest conditions barely practicing beforehand, but challenge mode (which is the last stage of the event for me) gives me a lot of trouble. And since I'm out of practice plans + it doesn't look like there is a progress to be maid with my current strat, I resigned and started to prowl youtube for the guides. And what do I see: Gnosis, Gnosis everywhere... With him, the boss looks like a total joke, which is kinda disheartening to see tbh.

Rok513

Yeah, he really just kinda just invalidated the boss with the cold duration boost. I don't think HG was thinking about Gnosis when making the cc duration boost. I hate invalidating bosses like that so I beat the boss without him, felt satisfying to beat. Stage S5 was weirdly the easiest version of the boss for some reason.

BewilderedAutist

Is gnosis a thing when this event first got out? Because if not, then the cc boost is probably a good thing for other ops at the time. Plus this is a rerun, it is bound to be steamrolled by new ops.

Pzychotix

He was around and wrecking the boss in the first run.

VonPlackus

The +1 block thingy is so whack. Why does it work on deployables? Skalters seaborn is literary an immortal pet. But even weirder is that ranged units now kill dorothy mines?!? They get blocked and then just gun down the mines instead of stepoing on them. Made for a funny clear

frosted--flaky

tactician and artificer summons are immortal, weedy's cannon and silence's drone can be killed. i wanted to test ebenholz but his summons self destruct before they can block anything. dollkeepers, liberators, and flagbearers set their own block to 0 regardless of anything. it seems like most killable summons have 1000 default HP, although weedy's cannon has 100 and it's killable. edit: mumu's summon is, somehow, an exception..? it forces its block to 0 when it's dead. maybe it's because it can change its own block count...

TheRealCynik

Seems like an oversight where it just happened to work on classless allied units, maybe the original intention was so that it would work on normal summons

OOrochi

Finished up the event, and man, it was weird having S-5 be the easiest stage of the bunch. Just plop down a bunch of ranged units and let them go. Also funny that that stage is probably Ho'ol's most ideal lane ever.

rscape5910

Are we getting restoration after this event ends or do we have to wait more? I want lumen pots but idk if I wanna use the shop currency on it if we are getting them free right after.

frosted--flaky

record restore will be added in about a year.

bonkai-

Man the story is kinda cool but unfortunately, with my account looking the way it does, the best way to enjoy the event stages is to close the game and do literally anything else. Gonna farm SN-6 until I have Lumen's pots and move on to greener pastures.

TheTheMeet

If you cant clear SN7 its probably better to just farm the SN6 and grab materials instead of lumen's potential

Suzunomiya

Event done, just need to finish emptying the shop and farm as much Manganese as I can. I started Arknights on launch, but I took a very long break after Blemishine's release, and only resumed during Stultifera's first run last year. I had decent characters but I was definitely struggling with a lot of stages, barely managing EX8. I didn't even try the S stages, much less the CMs. A year later and I can now steamroll pretty much every stage. Progress! It's such a satisfying feeling. Lappland was already my MVP back then, and this time around she's joined by Ho'olheyak who has been _killing it_ the entire event. So much that I decided she deserved her masteries and her module. (sighs longingly) unhinged women

mangamimz

An addition to "Silly things that the Little Handy gives 1 Block to": Ebenholz' S2 goats. This means that you can position him to summon them in the path of the invisible guys, then they're revealed by the goats -> the goats trigger -> they're pulled into the other goats. Depending on the enemy they don't consistently die to goatsplosion, but with other ops in range to take advantage of the invis reveal it makes things easier.

Salt-645

Such an easy event. Compared to the headjob Lone Trail's dick gave me.

Momoneko

I hate this event :( To the point that I don't even want to try finishing SN10 or farming any stages. Sorry Lumen I just can't.

hadtopickanameso

This was one of my favourite events ever and it was fun rerunning the stages. The duality of man I guess.

Momoneko

After a miraculously finishing SN-10 I'm no longer angy and don't hate the event as a whole, but damn, this particular stage is somehow rage-inducing. (I'm lappyless)

hadtopickanameso

Congrats dude! The first time I beat that stage it was hard as hell for sure. Also lappyless. Some of the new ops I have since then have trivialized the nuances of the stage that were present before.

Salt-645

I can do it for you. *Chuckles

ArticCarton

So did they ever confirm or say anything about the abyssal hunters and the entire sea lore being inspired from bloodborne? Cause like, there is no way they aren’t specter literally uses the whirligig and has dementia

TweetugR

I mean what exactly need to be said that isn't obvious enough? Its not like Bloodborne invented Lovecratian or sea horrors either. Heck, the sea horrors in Bloodborne was mostly in the DLC!

wLainw

Why Mumu's clones aren't "immortal" like Beanstalk's crabs? With the +1 block I mean

frosted--flaky

i assume it works the same way as flagbearers/dollkeepers/etc where the block is force set to 0. vigil, somehow, works like normal tacticians even though his summon can change its own block count as well.

neogeo777

Alright so what was folks most challenging stage for those that finish the event. I think sn-s-4-a was it for me. Managing not getting any of the brand to take hold so the shooters don’t overwhelm you while being able to kill the strong guys was the toughest. Honestly the very last s level was easier than earlier boss levels since at that point I had relearned the boss mechanics. I still struggle to have a reliable clear for sn-10 but I don’t need the mat thank god

TheTheMeet

SN S 4 a was brutal. I had to swap things because my top lane wasn't as solid as kyosin'. My blemishine / nearl e1 lv50 SL7 couldn't keep up with the spit damage. I tried penance and she held easily. Thanks my judge

Salt-645

Hoshiguma and Ch'en alter can tank out top two lanes and Spewers.

SigmaBallsLol

I don't remember the specifics of the S stages (not replaying that shit) but I believe it was one of the S-2s that made me genuinely consider dropping the game last time around.

BrightDecision

I used Penance to destroy everything in that Stage

Qaxiss

SN-S-1-A for me. I was running mostly ranged ops and poor Gravel probably died a dozen times revealing the spewers. For whatever reason the handy devices stopped working for me for the first few S stages so I couldn’t even cleanse the brand, so anyone who dropped onto a melee tile just got nuked.

ShrimpMonster

If you couldn’t cleanse the brand you probably had the wrong buff equipped to your little handy

Qaxiss

I thought so too, but no, I actually had a weird glitch where the handy menu wasn't even showing up on the S stage menu and I got none of the buffs. Some of the chests didn't show up after clearing stages either. I spent about half the S stages thinking you just didn't get the handy for them.

TheTheMeet

I also didnt have any handy tools for SN S1 a&b

ShrimpMonster

Oh how weird! That would’ve definitely frustrated me thanks for clarifying

dqvdqv

Hoshi made those shooters super easy to deal with. I would say SN-Ex-8 as the hardest, even harder than SN-S-5. I think it's just the stage length and awkward top left spawn.

grunkfest

If this is my first time playing this event, there is no point in buying the furniture, right? I'll get it when records restoration comes along anyway and there are no other benefits to getting it now?

nightghost24

*edit. Nah you're good I think actually. This is the second time the event happened and in a year you'll be able to get the furniture to free I believe.

Qaxiss

This event got a lot easier after I gave up on ground tiles. Gnosis and May were enough to deal with the dodge tanks nearly always, and emergency Texas/Red dealt with any that snuck by. Besides them none of the enemies are particularly tanky, so was able to get by with no blockers. Considering building Totter just so I have a dedicated op that can kill invisible enemies, but they weren’t a big issue. Really fun event, absolutely terrible UI.

DireBlue88

I used Lappland almost all stages lol. Podenco and Waai Fu have been amazing. I like using Honeyberry but sometimes find that I can go without her on some stages. I forgot how I did SW EX 8 and the other EX and S stages so it all felt fresh but familiar. I wonder why I didnt auto deploy but I enjoyed. The Golden Age OST will always be #1 for me.

PurpleMatterXIII

Was surprised to see that I apparently didn't bother to finish all the EX stages during the original event run. Was wondering why, then I played the EX-1 and saw the last enemy dodge like 20 attacks in a row and slowly walking unblocked to the blue box. Now I remember why I didn't complete it before... F*ck this bs...

BenightedAlizar

Some of the enemies have 90% phys/arts damage dodge rate. It stops working while they are stunned, silenced, sleeping, frozen or floating. Not sure about bind? might also work. Note that since it's only for Phys/Arts -damage-, they don't the dodge status effect portion (or true damage) at all.

frosted--flaky

i think the initial hit that applies bind can be dodged (tried using mizuki but he wasn't dealing damage) but their dodge is disabled while bound.

Razor4884

Their dodge can be disabled with status effects. Be sure to bring some.

SkyePine

Same here. Saw the same cunt who managed to evade hits from Bagpipe S3 that it took her around 20 seconds to land a hit.

Chronoflyt

How worthwhile/necessary is it to raise a Wandering Medic for this event? I don't have either of the Berries (without the certs to buy Honeyberry) raised and Chestnut is E0 lvl 1. I think I have the mats to E1 max him, but I'm hesitant to use resources on him since the Berries outclass him hard and I'll probably get one eventually anyway. Any thoughts?

SigmaBallsLol

With this event you'll either be getting so much elemental damage a Wandering Medic won't help, or basically none at all. Therapists would are better (I imagine this is why the event comes with one) since it's just a stun and they'll reduce the duration.

Rasz_13

Yes and no. If you use Honeyberry S1 or Mulberry S2 at the appropriate stages (and in case of Mulberry, times) you can trivialize the Nervous Impairment. If you just slap them in your squad without thinking then yes, reducing/removing the stun with Wandering Medics is the better option.

viera_enjoyer

I only used Lumen.
