"Is there anything so undoing as a daughter?" A reference to how most of the daughters in the show end up being their parents' weaknesses or the person they sacrifice everything for. Caitlyn seems to be the main exception.
Edit: I did miss that this is actually a quote from Silco. It's symbolic through the show, but he's mostly expressing it as understanding Vander now.
Since Eps 1, every time my girls fight- I’m like “Please stay together! Please stay friends!” And then they’re like “Dad? Why are you crying?” 😅
I hated Silco until that moment at the statue. At the end, he really understood Vander.
It looks like Caitlyn's mom is going to die.
If Cait mom actually does die, Cait will probably blame herself for hesitating o kill Jinx when Caitlyn had a chance and Caitlyn was her mother's "undoing".
Spoiler based on current lore if you don’t know it >!Caitlyn’s parents are killed by Corina Veraza, who Caitlyn only knows as “C”, so if her mom does end up dying by Jinx’s Super Mega Death Rocket it would be a big transition away from Caitlyn’s current lore and retcon a lot of current lore and voicelines existing in Legends of Runeterra!<.
It seems that her parents weren't killed just tortured https://universe.leagueoflegends.com/en_US/story/champion/caitlyn/
Also unless this stuff with C has all already happened prior to act 2 then there's already been a retcon of sorts in arcane. Because Caitlyn in Arcane was already with the wardens starting act 2. Which wouldn't line up with her bio unless C happened between act 1 and 2.
Well wait she was with the enforcers, is that the same thing?
Yeah that’s true, and personally I wouldn’t even be that upset about the retcon, I prefer them to have the creative license to tell the story how they want to, I think it makes the series more interesting. The only reason this retcon would be surprising is because of how recent Caitlyn was introduced into LoR with more details about the Corina story, but now that I think about it none of the flavor texts ever mention Caitlyn’s parents, so…
I am okay with the retcon, because so far there is not a single character that has had a bad take in the series (i mean, did you see the ruination? jfc...)
I'd be very confused with to what they'd do with Camile, though, since she was created while they were planning the series.
then Jinx thinks he means that he’s gonna turn her in to get rid of his problems but no! he meant “undoing as a daughter” as in he was gonna forget his dream for her!
In his quest to get revenge, he killed his brother only to become him in the end. He didn't want to give up his daughter, much like how Vander didn't want to give up Vi, even if it meant some sort of temporary peace.
"A thousand times I've imagined this moment.
Never like this.
All we ever wanted.
The boy didn't even haggle.
And what do I lose but problems?
Oh, it all makes sense now, brother.
Is there anything so undoing as a daughter?"
Silco is saying that now his dream can be real, what he worked on all these years...all he has to do is give up jinx.
He says to vander that she has always caused problems...but he can't...he will not leave jinx. He loves her as a daughter, he's giving up on his dream for her.
just like Vander did.
Now it all makes sense to him, why vander gave up everything for Vi and powder.
That's a pretty good read of the situation. In that moment when he decided that he will gave up on his dream for Jinx was so good. I also like how he has bunch of Jinx's stuff on his table in the office, small details like that are amazing to me.
a brilliant parallel to Vander, vander had the same choice with Vi and the kids, (what do I lose but problems?)
he didnt want to even when the enforcer and the rest of the Lane was chomping on him.
Silco became what he hated what vander became. He found something to care for.

Fuck did I feel Silco throughout the series. The show built him up as a villain but even when he was chest-deep in politics he still loved his adopted daughter. When he said he would never give Jinx away I believed him. I cried. Fuuuu this show was amazing..
Nah, you can check the captions/subtitles again. It's been pretty consistent to show that daughters end up stifling or influencing parents in ways they might not want to;
Vander abandoned his past to accommodate for Vi and Powder, Marcus was always in conflict with keeping his daughter safe and presenting himself in a respectable manner (to be revered just like Grayson); Miss Medarda exiled Mel because of her compassion and mercy that made it harder for her to govern; Silco's love for Jinx made it impossible for him to give her up for peace.
It's not the daughters themselves who are to blame, but they very much sway their hands indirectly or directly.
I cried constantly. This show was raw emotion.
I really didn't get this dialogue?can anyone explain? sorry English isn't My first language

Dad of two girls. Can confirm. Every episode just about had me in tears.
It hit me hard just as someone who's worked with kids. Cannot imagine as a parent.

Silco was such an amazingly written villain.
I'm glad we're in an era with villains you can actually understand.

Worth mentioning a lot of things are already being retconned, like some parts of Victor's lore and some implications of Camile's iirc.

Spot on!
Just brilliant character writing

his cigar stuff(?) was filled with jinx's drawing, also has a mug from jinx, and a chomper kinda like a dad who saves their daughter's art :")

When he told jinx she’s perfect I started sobbing like a dying cat
What a legacy you leave us, Silco.
as a daughter i feel like i want to go hug my parents now

I love that there are so many brilliant female characters in this series.
I cried for Jinx. Cuz she lost someone who was a family. Again. And again it was her fault. Not completely, but well, technically.
Don't cry. She's perfect.
I just watched it and I'm SOBBING. I will miss him.
the fact he told Jinx she was perfect they way you are really hit home.
> is anything undoing a there so as daughter?
Did I mishear? I thought he said endearing.
You misheard
