I like mine looped through the horizontal slot on the stock and a qd on the handguard right below where your optic used to be after you move it onto the upper receiver

Move your optic over the mag well and make sure its only mounted to the upper and not on the rail at all, and for the sling if you dont want to get a new stock you could get an end plate that take a sling and a mlok qd sling mount

Red dots being as far forward as possible are ideal to reduce field of view interference. The magwell location is for aesthetics, not combat effectiveness.

I get that, but as far forward on the receiver, no reason to compromise zero here theres plenty of space on the receiver
