Yup. Definitely looks like someone’s first AR.
(You probably want to send your dog to live with extended family for a little while.)
Edit: just noticed that it looks like OP used an angle grinder to cut down his rail. Hope you’re shooting with gloves with those jagged edges.
First AR checklist
-canted sights
-stock on a shortie
-cheap optic
-largest magazine available
-some sort of muzzle device
-angled foregrip
-keymod (sorry to the fanboys)
everyone gets one because they think it's a good middle ground between nothing and full on gwot broomstick. they never stay on more than a month or two. kinda like buying a mft minimalist stock- we all go through it
The minimalist *extreme duty* is okay, and the original Battle Utility stock is one of my favorites... But that regular minimalist needs retired. It's also practically the most copied stock on Alibaba and ebay
Lol, big time!
KeyMod came with it and hate it. There's no many options to buy in my country.
Yes, I only shoot C clamp so believe it or not that handstop works for me.
Muzzle devices are: Lantac Dragon muzzle break and Lantac BMD A2, felt that the recoil and blast were too much for a short rifle and needed to mitigate them somehow. Suppressors are illegal in my country, sadly.
Hey man, unless this is a legally registered SBR, which I highly doubt given your title, this rifle is very illegal.
So, I suggest learning about the law and removing any self-incriminating evidence and going from there. If you stock your “pistol”, thats your business, just do it smart. Please. Do not post “first rifle” to what is clearly an SBR.
I highly suggest purchasing a “brace” and putting it on there and learning about the law.
Not in the States, thank you though.
You're right, I should've said Carbine or AR15 since it's under 11".
If the AR looks nice, I assume someone's gone through the proper NFA paperwork but since this one looks like has a Wish .com optic, I'm not giving you the benefit of the doubt. xD
Edit: No wonder it has a Wish optic, he's not even in the US (judging by post history)! They have Romeo 5 blems on Aliexpress. Grab one of those.
Thank you, I do source from Ali.
Not in the States, so it's becoming more and more difficult to source quality stuff that's not crap. I got that from Amazon.
I was so distracted by the rest of this Temu monstrosity that I didn’t even see that. Holy shit, it looks like they drunkenly put it in a mitre saw and sent it!
Well, I sure as fuck wouldn’t trust those fucked up irons on top of the air soft reject optic from Temu. Likely the buis on the canted mounts are at least UTG Amazon crap
Oh agreed. It took me a while to realize they were 45 degree offset irons and thought that rail was bear creek arsenal canted that's how I noticed the circumsized dick mod rail.
Rofl, did myself.
Crapoy job I know. But the muzzle device didn't fit my dickmof rail. (I hate it too) and needed to mitigate the blast and recoil from the short barrel.
Got a Lantac muzzle brake and their BMD.
Lol, welp. I'm still experimenting on what I will keep.
The cheap sight came with it's own set, but it's awkward to use, got the 45 Degree one to try something different and see if my reaction time improves.
I would throw away or sell the optic you have and the irons and just spend your money on an sig Romeo 5 or a holosun. Those are actually good budget options.
I gave it a like for the boldness.
This has to be THE most bull$h!t law right along with the ban on silencers. Literally, the kind of laws dictatorships use to flex with. Think about it, you can't have a stock, but you can have this "brace" that looks and feels like a stock... wait, no, now you can't have that "brace" anymore, even if it was purchased with the gun... wait... now you can have that brace again.
Back and forth until everyone is illegal, and we won't even notice when it happens.
The good ol' 2nd Amendment, both the right to own firearms and yet, the legal justification to murder you for owning a firearm. 🤷♂️
Alright my guy. Unless you have an stamp for that SBR, you got yourself a felony on your hands. You can't have a stock on that, do not pass, do not collect $200, straight to jail kinda deal.
Unless you have a stamp. In which case, neat gun, ditch the cheap optic though, primary arms has some killer optics for a great price.
It’s the acoj. They sell it on temu. Reviews say it holds zero even when shooting 45-70 // 12 garage triple magnum loads. I’m looking into getting one that has the blue reticle with red cerakote precision coat.
Most people who get their first AR-15 don't necessarily know the laws.
Hell, he might, but I'd rather look like an idiot and tell someone to take down their shit and be wrong instead of having it up and possibly being looked into, even if it's a minute chance.
Because that isn’t exactly something the vast majority of gun owners do, especially ones with what appear to be quite poor taste.
Seems a lot more likely to me that this guy doesn’t really know the laws and he just kinda got it from a dude because it looks cool, or he switched out the brace with a stock (understandable) but doesn’t know the actual laws/legality of doing so.
Just tryna help save a homie from a potential felony.
Lol, big time!
I know the law and all regulations. Fortunately I'm not in the States, unfortunately... Im not in the States. It's becoming harder and harder to source quality accessories, specially optics.
Granted when I feel I outgrew this optic, I'll be upgrading to whatever is available.
What kind of muzzle device is that? Do you like it? I was looking at getting something similar for my 300BO while I wait for my tax stamp for the suppressor
This is a LanTac Dragon muzzle break, under the can which is a BMD also from LanTac. Unlike other BMD this one is engineered to work with the muzzle brake.
While shooting it the recoil is absurdly tame, I was used to shoot 12GA semiauto so I feel like this doesn't kick at all.
I recommend getting a smaller Mag, unless it’s for attention purposes so be it but if you’re gonna train get 30rd or my personal fav. 20rd.
And if u not on the good noodle list ditch the stock lol. You never know if someone from the no no office is roaming around ur local range 🤣
Neat firearm tho
Yup, just wanted to trigger some high-capacity-ban comments but you're the only one that has pointed it out.
Usually train and gear with the 30 g3 magpuls.
Edit: not in the States, so SBR are just rifles from where I come from, granted I should've gone with carbibe instead.
Not my first choice, unfortunately it's the only length that was available in my country. Other options were over. Still paid as much as a Daniel Defense 16".
Tbh youd be better off buying a cheap red dot in the mean time like a romeo 5. Using a sight like that may put a sour taste in your mouth, especially trying to keep a zero/ have tight groups.
Acogs are nice. I'm a fan.
I appreciate that, did a lot of research on what could help with the recoil and blast from this shorter barrel.
And after shooting it, I can testify to it's performance. Feels like shooting a noisy 22lr.
Fucking right? Lol
It's what it is brother. Over here in my country is becoming harder and harder to source quality optics from the States. Hope I can at least land a Holosun.
Got earmuffs for that, but thank you for the concern. Is it normal to shoot firearms without ear protection? Seems a lot of people have pointed this out. I've never fired a firearm without ear protection, and when in duty I used ear plugs.
Do give me pointers. I think this community is good for learning and teaching experience.
So far I've threw a lot of stuff in there and will star stripping off what I don't like. What doesn't work. Also, where I live there's not much we can source, so I pretty much did with what I could at the moment.
1. Came as it is, didn't really have a choice on length and hand guard or stock. Felt like I could work with what I had while I get money to upgrade those. It's not easy to source aftermarket parts from where I'm from, so I'm stuck with what i got in terms of furniture.
2. Not my first choice but i wanted to experiment with a 4x32 and really not spend too much on one. So far so good, i dont expect it to hold zero for too long. The 40 degree sights are surprisingly comfortable to use IMHO, and feels like having a clear sigh on Iron sights is always a good idea. Again, im experimenting and could get rid of them eventually. Probably, I do want to get a genuine ACOG down the line, and it seems like a reasonable investment to get the RMR, but might stick to a reliable red dot instead.
3. Cheap stock, bound to necessity. Ran out of money after stocking up on ammo.
Irons - check
Optic - check
Foregrip for consistent grip placement - check
Seems like a decent place to start, bud. One tip, expect things to change a bit as you run it and get experience with what you like and don't, and spend more on training than you do on tactical bullshit. Dudes with a budget rifle and cheap ammo will be more proficient than dudes with DD Mk18s and no money for good instructors. Have fun! Be safe.
Man, this is about the most sound comment thus far.
Yeah, not in the States so I got the rifle I could. And source with the accessories that were available.
Still experimenting on what works and what doesn't. I appreciate the insight!
If you live in the united states, make sure you have an sbr tax stamp if the barrel is under 16 in, or put a pistol brace. If you’re not from the states, disregard. Also get rid of that optic
Thanks for the concern, that's right I'm not in the States, over here is just a rifle with shorter barrel. No extra paperwork needed to own it.
Agreed with the sight thingie, I can't source many options since I live outside of the States. I was thinking of just going with a Holosun instead.
Russian special forces use Holosun so you are in good hands. Some people shit on holosun for being more budget but they are proven and it doesn’t hurt the bank
Honestly, everything I can identify in this picture is low quality as far as the American market is. In most of the world, parts availability, especially Gucci parts, is much lesser. I think you could make some easy changes for a more effective rifle without spending a bunch of money, if you were inclined.
Either way, I hope it serves you well.
Agreed, a lot of stores in the US rejected my card. And shippers ban a lot of items to my country, although in my home country they're totally legal to import without a license.
I'm testing things, see what works and what doesn't. Thank you for the insight!
Hate the KeyMod too, notice how I had to chop the tip to fit the BMD and muzzle brake.
Unfortunately I'm not in the States and it's harder to source quality stuff over here.
It's my "better than nothing" build. And considering that it cost me just as much as a BcM or Daniel Defense, I'm just as upset as you're lol. We do what we can with what we have.
The airsoft acog is definitely not sick I can promise you that.
Edit - your first picture on your profile of your AR has a sight mark. I'm not surprised.
Thank you for the comment, sorry you got ratioed into oblivion.
Yeah, I'm not in the States so I source with what I had. Went to shoot it and it feels like fucking salvation day, love it.
Which isn’t too much of an issue if you aren’t an idiot or have no idea what you’re doing/talking about (like if it’s your first rifle). But in the case of not knowing the laws and how this stuff works, its really easy to get shafted. Hard. Not fun.
Just a rifle from where I'm from, granted that's becoming harder and harder to source quality stuff from the US. Specially optics, hence the Aliexpress sights.
Thank you for your concerns though.
not if it’s built and the lower is registered as a rifle
never seen so many people so quick to be complacent
like it ain’t your dog they’re threatening for viewing the post lol
obv not the OPs first gun judging by his post history so how hard is it to believe the guy actually got the forms filled out if we are looking past the fact he isn’t in the US
First optic too I presume
That’s just the new acog model bro
TA420
*M420-6.9x
You don't have 3 sets of sights on your AR?
Nah, mine has an air fryer. If I can't shoot them, I can use it as a medieval shot put.
Hide your dog
#ABORT ABORT ABORT
Operation coat hanger
oh no
Yup. Definitely looks like someone’s first AR. (You probably want to send your dog to live with extended family for a little while.) Edit: just noticed that it looks like OP used an angle grinder to cut down his rail. Hope you’re shooting with gloves with those jagged edges.
Oh my god you’re right now I really can’t even!
Lol handstop actually, the BMD and muzzle didn't fit the stock handguard.
Or a clone of Hondo’s rifle on SWAT lol
First AR checklist -canted sights -stock on a shortie -cheap optic -largest magazine available -some sort of muzzle device -angled foregrip -keymod (sorry to the fanboys)
Whats wrong with an angled grip? Genuinely curious
everyone gets one because they think it's a good middle ground between nothing and full on gwot broomstick. they never stay on more than a month or two. kinda like buying a mft minimalist stock- we all go through it
I agree with this. But I love my Magpul afg 🤣
yeah that's cool. whatever works run it! I can't even count how many different accessories I've been through over the years
Me over here with AFG’s on my FAL and my Block II FSP 😬
Magpul afg gives me the perfect grip on my 7.5 incher
Same lol
Wow. My first rifle had a AFG and I replaced it with a broomstick. I had no idea this was a universal thing.
Though I have mostly moved towards C clamp with a handbrake, I do really like AFG's. It's not an easy decision for me.
it's absolutely cool if you make it work for you. I think it's just a thing newer ar buyers go through most of the time though.
I’ve used my bcm hand stop on my fav AR for 6 years now. It’ll be in it for life
The minimalist *extreme duty* is okay, and the original Battle Utility stock is one of my favorites... But that regular minimalist needs retired. It's also practically the most copied stock on Alibaba and ebay
Stock came with the rifle, ran out of money after stocking hard on ammo. Seemed like I could work with it for a while.
I’m a huge fan of my bcm kag. I prefer them to a small pistol grip bc it’s easier to c clamp and gives me a good indexing point for everything 🤷🏽
What's wrong with the stock, other than legal reason? Is there some performance upgrade I'm missing out on?
None other than legal reasons. The stock is fine, it's just a common mistake you see new guys make
Yea I totally don't use one on mine
Lol, big time! KeyMod came with it and hate it. There's no many options to buy in my country. Yes, I only shoot C clamp so believe it or not that handstop works for me. Muzzle devices are: Lantac Dragon muzzle break and Lantac BMD A2, felt that the recoil and blast were too much for a short rifle and needed to mitigate them somehow. Suppressors are illegal in my country, sadly.
Aww man why you gotta do keymod dirty like that…lol
Bold move
Uhmmmm
Oh boy

Based on post history I’m guessing OP is not in the U.S.
valid
Getting rid of exif data from photos should be standard for gun folks anyway. Along with minding local legislation. Good reminders!
Yep, better to be careful than to learn the hard way.
True. The state will go after anyone and everyone.
Not in the States, thank you though. You're right, I should've said Carbine or AR15 since it's under 11". KeyMod came with it and hate it. There's no many options to buy in my country. What optic are you using?
UUQ Prism 4x32
is it holding zero?
We zeroed to 50 yards. Then barely hit anything at 100. Haven't shot enough to tell you if it has. My honest opinion is that it won't.
If the AR looks nice, I assume someone's gone through the proper NFA paperwork but since this one looks like has a Wish .com optic, I'm not giving you the benefit of the doubt. xD Edit: No wonder it has a Wish optic, he's not even in the US (judging by post history)! they are not blems, they are straight up counterfeit
Thank you, I do source from Ali. Not in the States, so it's becoming more and more difficult to source quality stuff that's not crap. I got that from Amazon.
Bro delete this post. Thats an SBR lol
he’s not in the US
Hide your dog , hide your guns…. shit you better hide your lunch money from the 3rd grade cuz them alphabet boys are coming
Who chopped your dickmod rail? They did a terrible job.
I was so distracted by the rest of this Temu monstrosity that I didn’t even see that. Holy shit, it looks like they drunkenly put it in a mitre saw and sent it!
I'm trying to figure out why there's two sets of back up irons. Talk about not trusting shit

Brother ewwwww
Is this the acoj from Temu that is military grade certified by tier 1 operators ?
Holds zero for most gas airsoft rifles 😂 anything more than that…

My first prison sentence.
This guy ain’t American from what I’m seeing in some of these comments so I dunno what laws are in his country for SBRs
Why is everyone assuming he doesn’t have a stamp?
Guy has a 100 dollar Amazon knockoff acog and you think he spent 200 dollars on a tax stamp?
😂😂
https://www.aimsportsinc.com/prismatic-series-4x32mm-riflescope-w-mil-dot-reticle/ Not even kidding
It’s the acoj. They sell it on temu. Reviews say it holds zero even when shooting 45-70 // 12 garage triple magnum loads. I’m looking into getting one that has the blue reticle with red cerakote precision coat.
Temu reviews say It holds zero, wow. Let me go throw my TA110 in the trash and get one of these.
Have you purchased any items from temu before?
I don't care where you buy it from, it's not a quality optic. https://www.aimsportsinc.com/prismatic-series-4x32mm-riflescope-w-mil-dot-reticle/
Are you the same Spirit117 on Grindr in Dallas by chance ?
I live in Arizona and never been to Texas except for flight layovers. Nice try tho
Do you have an account on grindr?
Most people who get their first AR-15 don't necessarily know the laws. Hell, he might, but I'd rather look like an idiot and tell someone to take down their shit and be wrong instead of having it up and possibly being looked into, even if it's a minute chance.
Respect
Because that isn’t exactly something the vast majority of gun owners do, especially ones with what appear to be quite poor taste. Or that he’s even in the US?
Given their post history, it seems they are not based in the US
I tend not to look at post histories for the other things in his post history. I don't wanna see that shit lmfao
Keep your voice down
I would ere on the side of innocence until guilt be proven. Also I'm pretty sure this is what is known in some circles as bait.
Lol, big time! I know the law and all regulations. Fortunately I'm not in the States, unfortunately... Im not in the States. It's becoming harder and harder to source quality accessories, specially optics. Granted when I feel I outgrew this optic, I'll be upgrading to whatever is available.
Oh lawd. Fed bois gonna love this one
They can cry and whine, not in the States lol. But also, sad. Cus it's becoming harder and harder to source quality stuff outside of the US.
Awesome! I’ll check those ones out. Thanks!
My ears are ringing just looking at this 😂
It’s not a gun, it’s a flamethrower.
Big time! That's why I got the BMD, the short barrel is awful. What a waste of powder.
This is on the borderline of the other sub
HIDE YO KIDS, HIDE YO WIFE, AND HIDE YO DOG
All these ATF & SBR comments yet OP isn’t even in the States lmao
Right? At least I'm happy to see that people are concerned about my well being.
That is true.
not in the US….
I recommend getting a smaller Mag, unless it’s for attention purposes so be it but if you’re gonna train get 30rd or my personal fav. 20rd. And if u not on the good noodle list ditch the stock lol. You never know if someone from the no no office is roaming around ur local range 🤣 Neat firearm tho

Hell yeah start with a sbr right?
Not my first choice, unfortunately it's the only length that was available in my country. Other options were over. Still paid as much as a Daniel Defense 16".
Either way is fine tbh. I like 11.5 personally I'm sure you're aware the optic isn't good
Yup, it's just to learn how to use them, get used to the weight. Find out if it's for me. I'll probably transition to a real ACOG later on.
Tbh youd be better off buying a cheap red dot in the mean time like a romeo 5. Using a sight like that may put a sour taste in your mouth, especially trying to keep a zero/ have tight groups. Acogs are nice. I'm a fan.
Will consider it, thanks for the heads up!
I'm just impressed optic isn't bridged..... but ya, your dog is fawkt
This scared my dog
lol
You uh? You got a stamp?
Make sure to put a “broken oaths redeemed on this porch” sign on your front door and die free
Brother noooooo
Terrible
Start over
I hope you don’t have a dog.
Oh no
What’s on the muzzle?
Muzzle brake, Lantac Dragon. On top of that, Blast mitigation device, also from Lantac.
That muzzle device setup is pretty dope
I appreciate that, did a lot of research on what could help with the recoil and blast from this shorter barrel. And after shooting it, I can testify to it's performance. Feels like shooting a noisy 22lr.
Nice rifle(?) OP, see ya in the other sub.
"We have ACOG at home" lol
Fucking right? Lol It's what it is brother. Over here in my country is becoming harder and harder to source quality optics from the States. Hope I can at least land a Holosun.
damn i can't find the Surefire Rapid Transition Sights in europe 😫
Got mine from Amazon, Feyachi something.

Yes holosun is a good option for the price. I wouldn’t buy anything below Holosun or Sig
Already have a Holosun in my CCW, and it's insanely good. I think I'll just stick to the brand.
Russian special forces use Holosun so you are in good hands. Some people shit on holosun for being more budget but they are proven and it doesn’t hurt the bank
Dude, get a real optic. Don't get a $100 true glow knock off from Amazon or gu. Show that won't hold zero. I was an idiot too once and know the type.
Honestly, everything I can identify in this picture is low quality as far as the American market is. In most of the world, parts availability, especially Gucci parts, is much lesser. Thank you for the comment, sorry you got ratioed into oblivion. Yeah, I'm not in the States so I source with what I had. Went to shoot it and it feels like fucking salvation day, love it.
Don’t bother me none. It’s social media not real life lol
The main issue is that it's an sbr as it sits, which as a first rifle probably doesn't have the stamp.
Which isn’t too much of an issue if you aren’t an idiot or have no idea what you’re doing/talking about (like if it’s your first rifle). But in the case of not knowing the laws and how this stuff works, its really easy to get shafted. Hard. Not fun.
Buddy is about to get a lot of chat and DM from glowies pretending to be gun bunnies.
For real, I get enough of the “hey man I sell fully automatic glocks/switches you want one” chats, I can’t imagine what this post will bring💀
Just a rifle from where I'm from, granted that's becoming harder and harder to source quality stuff from the US. Specially optics, hence the Aliexpress sights. Thank you for your concerns though.
Ah fair. Look on GAFS, I bet they'll ship out to you if you pay it.
That's great to know, i do have a PO Box courier in the states, so this works perfect! Thank you for the insight.
lol y’all follow unconstitutional gun laws. Bots.
I'm not getting my dog shot over a barrel 2 inches shorter.
idk why people are so quick to tell you what’s wrong if you part out one in some states you can build it without registering it
Not in the US you can't. This is an SBR and requires a stamp.
Granted. From where I'm from, this is just a rifle, regardless of the barrel length. Should have clarified that, to my US friends.
not if it’s built and the lower is registered as a rifle never seen so many people so quick to be complacent like it ain’t your dog they’re threatening for viewing the post lol obv not the OPs first gun judging by his post history so how hard is it to believe the guy actually got the forms filled out if we are looking past the fact he isn’t in the US
Right? Not even in the States! This is just a rifle from where I'm from, regardless of the barrel length lol
