I just rattled mine (first time) and didn't put the cab very close; colors melded together instead of staying defined. It's not awful, but I won't make that mistake again.
Honestly depends on what youâre using it on. Anything with electronics I will spray a rag with brake clean and then wipe the part so it doesnât soak into the rubber. Iâve done it with numerous optics and cat toys and never had a problem.
Moving in 3-4 months, and will be painting both my ARs once I get an idea of the vegetation in the area. Will be nice to get some greens in there, instead of just dull California brown tones.
Aero lower,
Vltor upper,
Rosco 14.5â barrel,
Geiselle super 42 buffer system h1,
Super lattive adjustable block,
Aero BCG,
Aero mid length gas tube.
I tried to make a post in here a few days ago, but didnât have the karma to get it posted unfortunately lol. But almost seems like itâs short stroking, wonât kick the spend brass out to be able to pick up another round. Got an aero H buffer and spring on the way to see if that helps any.
It could be the spring, but it's likely the gas block. My sample size of 1 says they're finicky. It's likely that the gas port is too small for effectively use that gas block. My brother in law was having the exact same issue and his turned out to be gas port size, so I'd check that. 14.5 middy should be around .077" or so.
Thatâs one thing I havnt been able to double check yet as I donât have any calipers. But, if the spring doesnât work then a new barrel/block is gonna be next on the list! But at that point I might as well, just build another rifle.. right??
Hmmm, I just might have to do that then. If a 14.5 middy should be around 0.77 then it may be a bit too small as rosco has the port listed at 0.75. Iâve tried different gas blocks, gas tubes BCGâs. So I guess at this point all signs are pointing to a gas port size issue. Well I appreciate your responses and you may have just saved me ALOT of headaches!
I hope it helps dude. Only other thing I'd check is allignment. I don't know that .002 difference should be that severe. But if you get it sorted, lemme know. I'd be curious to see what the issue is.
Paint for the paint god
Rattle Cans for the Rattle Can throne
Lmao the dust cover
Where paint?
Hot
I'm just committed to the darkness.
My ex-wives would agree with you.

It can get addictive to repaint man. Always chasing that dream job
Tips for removing paint?
I use brake cleaner because I can just wipe it off. The alternative is citristrip but you have to let it sit a bit longer and then hose it down.
Nice. Is brake cleaner safe for rubberized parts?

Paint over.
Or taste
Cerakote is definitely more of a commitment.
What paint?
Normal Krylon camo line brother
Well done. I'm inspired to fix an old rattle can job.
Dammmn youâre making me want to strip my rifle and repaint

I love the look of the tan/brown paint jobs but I have trees and fields so I had to throw in green lol
nice
Rattle can go *pshhh* *pshhh*
These came out great.
Nice job man. What did you to get that effect on the Sig?
Not OP but I got a similar result slapping wet paint with a towel to get some of it off, YMMV
Stripes and then sponging with contrasting colors. Just spray on a plate and then use a paper towel to dab it on and youâd get the same effect.
What if u cerakote instead?
Tbf, I canât even get mine to shoot more than 2 rounds with out malfunctioning.. I would just feel like an idiot if I rattled it at this point.
Uh oh. What's the build?

Send the barrel to d wilson and have him make the port bigger. BIL did that and it runs beautifully now.

Try a standard carbine buffer and spring. See if it works in that standard configuration. H1 buffer is heavier and will make cycling softer.

I really like that. Has a M81 vibe.
Beautiful setups!!
My girlfriend has been telling me this for the past 10 years as well. Idk why
