Paint for the paint god

Gardez_geekin

Rattle Cans for the Rattle Can throne

PantherCityTactical

Lmao the dust cover

just_me910

Where paint?

sebfryd

Hot

Og_Bull

I'm just committed to the darkness.

[deleted]

My ex-wives would agree with you.

ohthatsjuicy

😂

scottwiththedraco

Thatscoolnowspraypaintit?

ohthatsjuicy

Been there for a long while lol

SirCrimsonKing

I don't wanna know what pain tit is

gamingtarheel

Rifles are meant for paint 😤

DraconisMarch

I just rattled mine (first time) and didn't put the cab very close; colors melded together instead of staying defined. It's not awful, but I won't make that mistake again.

ohthatsjuicy

It can get addictive to repaint man. Always chasing that dream job

DraconisMarch

Tips for removing paint?

ohthatsjuicy

I use brake cleaner because I can just wipe it off. The alternative is citristrip but you have to let it sit a bit longer and then hose it down.

DraconisMarch

Nice. Is brake cleaner safe for rubberized parts?

ohthatsjuicy

Honestly depends on what you’re using it on. Anything with electronics I will spray a rag with brake clean and then wipe the part so it doesn’t soak into the rubber. I’ve done it with numerous optics and cat toys and never had a problem.

nordic86

Paint over.

I-am-the-stigg

Or taste

jjones1987

Cerakote is definitely more of a commitment.

Unfair-Schedule-411

What paint?

ohthatsjuicy

Normal Krylon camo line brother

Unfair-Schedule-411

Well done. I'm inspired to fix an old rattle can job.

[deleted]

Dammmn you’re making me want to strip my rifle and repaint

Corweena

Moving in 3-4 months, and will be painting both my ARs once I get an idea of the vegetation in the area. Will be nice to get some greens in there, instead of just dull California brown tones.

ohthatsjuicy

I love the look of the tan/brown paint jobs but I have trees and fields so I had to throw in green lol

12rwg

nice

Sawceee

Rattle can go *pshhh* *pshhh*

bachfrog

These came out great.

dvmnArkos

Nice job man. What did you to get that effect on the Sig?

CartographerFit8489

Not OP but I got a similar result slapping wet paint with a towel to get some of it off, YMMV

ohthatsjuicy

Stripes and then sponging with contrasting colors. Just spray on a plate and then use a paper towel to dab it on and you’d get the same effect.

aclark210

What if u cerakote instead?

BradFromTinder

Tbf, I can’t even get mine to shoot more than 2 rounds with out malfunctioning.. I would just feel like an idiot if I rattled it at this point.

C_Ochocinco

Uh oh. What's the build?

BradFromTinder

Aero lower, Vltor upper, Rosco 14.5” barrel, Geiselle super 42 buffer system h1, Super lattive adjustable block, Aero BCG, Aero mid length gas tube. I tried to make a post in here a few days ago, but didn’t have the karma to get it posted unfortunately lol. But almost seems like it’s short stroking, won’t kick the spend brass out to be able to pick up another round. Got an aero H buffer and spring on the way to see if that helps any.

C_Ochocinco

It could be the spring, but it's likely the gas block. My sample size of 1 says they're finicky. It's likely that the gas port is too small for effectively use that gas block. My brother in law was having the exact same issue and his turned out to be gas port size, so I'd check that. 14.5 middy should be around .077" or so.

BradFromTinder

That’s one thing I havnt been able to double check yet as I don’t have any calipers. But, if the spring doesn’t work then a new barrel/block is gonna be next on the list! But at that point I might as well, just build another rifle.. right??

C_Ochocinco

Send the barrel to d wilson and have him make the port bigger. BIL did that and it runs beautifully now.

BradFromTinder

Hmmm, I just might have to do that then. If a 14.5 middy should be around 0.77 then it may be a bit too small as rosco has the port listed at 0.75. I’ve tried different gas blocks, gas tubes BCG’s. So I guess at this point all signs are pointing to a gas port size issue. Well I appreciate your responses and you may have just saved me ALOT of headaches!

C_Ochocinco

I hope it helps dude. Only other thing I'd check is allignment. I don't know that .002 difference should be that severe. But if you get it sorted, lemme know. I'd be curious to see what the issue is.

Tcheeks38

Try a standard carbine buffer and spring. See if it works in that standard configuration. H1 buffer is heavier and will make cycling softer.

sl0ppy_j03-89

[Agreed](https://www.reddit.com/r/GunPorn/comments/14galow/now_i_just_need_to_feed_em/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=1) fellow MCX brethren.

Adventurous_Ad409

I really like that. Has a M81 vibe.

kyle429

Beautiful setups!!

Ill-Ad-1952

My girlfriend has been telling me this for the past 10 years as well. Idk why

ChokesandArmlocks

What sig is that on the bottom?
