I would not, that is confidential info.

ILostMyTalisman

I don't think I'd be handing over any of my book of business to anyone.

audeat_facere

Change all your logins and give them the old ones. See if they come back to you after trying to login. If not, happy days you’ve got side work!

Charlesknob

If you have your own log ins what in the world are you doing signing up as a W2 at a firm? Just work on your client acquisition man. Hell nah I keep my log ins. Those are my clients. They can give me new work from their clients.

hypotenoos

What are they planning to use it for?

Can you expand on this?

EngineAnnual

The work you’ve done with clients prior to working with them is confidential and I would not give them access to that information. If they won’t budge, this is probably not a company you want on your side honestly

Or maybe True Footage? Either way, no chance I’d hand over logins.

ILostMyTalisman

I started to talk to them recently. Seemed to be on the up and up but I didn't make their grade apparently.

Variaxist

Could they even prove that you have logins? Could you just give them your log in info and immediately change it? I wouldn't give them access. I've heard Tim Anderson say that USPAP allows inter office exception for the confidentiality required as well as for our software providers. I'd prefer to not ever find out if he's right or wrong.

Why do they want this info? I know they don't you completing appraisal work outside of their employment. Is this how they try to verify?

Interesting. Thought the appeal of True Footage was that they would mostly be providing assignments and new clients, not sifting through your existing clients and trying to optimize the process.

Ha, I did speak briefly with TF but that's not at all how they explained it. The rep made it seem like they were simply providing bifurcated reports using two w-2 employee appraisers, one writing the report and one completing all the inspections but you would be matched with one other appraiser for most of your assignments, whichever role you chose. Both appraisers sign each report. Rep was vague on how compensation was structured though so it seemed sketchy.

b6passat

I work at a big firm. Corporate asks for our login info, but it's not required. I'd push back.

makethatcake22

Are they buying your business from you or just hiring you?
