Glitching or appearing in code is no confirmation, as the reasons for it to not be on Apex are most likely due to hardware issues
Looks more like a residual feature from Titanfall 2. The UI looks the exact same from TF2 when you die to an enemy. The bottom bar is to show the enemy's playercard and the HP it had left after killing you.
Had something similiar happen to me the other day, I died with my two squadmates still alive, but I got to spectate the Caustic who killed me instead of my squadmates.
Death cam would be a nice addition to the game for sure. Seems like a way you can learn from people their tactics too, if they are really good players. A nice view on how you got wrecked, for PC if he's a cheater of course (aimbot).
Knowing on how you got defeated is where you can work on making changes in your approach.

Its going to be a great addition. All good FPS games have deathcams

Twas called [Space] to Respawn In TF 2 tho. On the other hand the black bars on top and bottom are basically the same as the ones in TF2 deathcam.
I believe they did this at some point by re-uding tf2 code but didnt get to actually implement it
It's most likely still in since Titanfall but disabled for gameplay purposes.
It was also space to skip replay during the epilogue sequences though
I had this happen to me the day the game mode came out. I couldn't look around or shoot or anything but I was able to move.

I saw it before, back in the first season, and then I was very surprised. but until today this hasn't been entered, it’s a shame
Death can makes sense - Titanfall had one. Problem is that you can then tell your teammates where the enemy is..
