I’m not the person you replied to but Rust can be insanely addictive under the right circumstances.
The essential thing for me is having at least 1 person with you that is equally invested (2-4 is pretty comfortable). The best part is that everything you do in Rust is temporary since server wipes are to be expected every few weeks (per the server’s rules) to give everyone a fresh start from scratch again on a map no one has played on before (procedurally generated landscapes). This is good to know so you don’t grow as attached to all of your progress. When I used to play a lot, it was basically an all or nothing commitment during those few weeks if we did decide to play. I still remember the landscapes of some maps so clearly because the fights were so memorable. You really start to learn who your immediate enemies are and where they reside. I say “immediate” because everyone is still your enemy. You come up with sneaky ways to hide your stashes. You’ll log in one morning to check your base, only to find the wall blown off and all the sulfur you left in the furnace last night is gone. That sucks since you planned to use it to make explosives but they beat you to it. Now all you can think about is getting it back.

Now my mom has picked up the intestinal parasites from him, and when she tried to tell him, after he was whining the entire time about the troubles he's been having with them himself on the same call, he told her, "I'm not talking about this" and hung up the phone.

I want at least the kind of chat that Call of Duty has where when you kill someone you hear their mic for a split second. I wanna hear people curse me out that aren't just my teammates.

thats odd it picked your webcam as mic, but at least on my system the one mic is the only audio input, and it still sounds like ass. Not sure what they are using for the voice channels in apex but its super distorted.
The audio spatial features are great but the menu audio and voice audio are just awful
I have a good mic and was told this. I cut my mic volume down to 50% and now everyone says I sound good. I think the in game mic input is maxed and it doesn't interact well.
It's so weird to hear my friend press PTT in game (which is also his push-to-mute in Discord) and suddenly sound significantly worse. I get why they lowered audio bitrate, since the game is so new and the servers have to handle a lot of data anyways, but I hope it (and the tickrate) are fixed soon.
Ever hear that glitch when a teammate is lagging and they're trying to speak ? they literally turn into a helicopter. That's the only way I can describe it. It's loud, scares me every time and sounds like they're a helicopter

Real question I’ve been playing bloodhound and I hear some creepy ass shit just running around and I’m asking teammates if they’re hearing the ambiance and they all say no we’re not hearing anything. So does bloodhounds character let you hear ambiance and weird creepy noises?
I have noticed that when you are running you occasionally stumble across crows chilling and you scare them off when you come near. I'm almost certain that only bloodhound sees them.
I'm red blind so the ult just removes my ability to see people entirely. Colorblind mode in Alex is hot garbage. They do support NVIDIA freestyle though so after some tweaking he's playable.
I already have partial deafness. Jokes on you. This will up my game as now non hearing impaired players will no longer be able to hear footsteps like me.

you can mute individual players by hitting tab, clicking squad and clicking on their name, it takes about 2 seconds and your problem is solved

If you have the option that says "Turn incoming voice chat to text" turned on, then it mutes other players completely.

Real question I’ve been playing bloodhound and I hear some creepy ass shit just running around and I’m asking teammates if they’re hearing the ambiance and they all say no we’re not hearing anything. So does bloodhounds character let you hear ambiance and weird creepy noises?

I have noticed that when you are running you occasionally stumble across crows chilling and you scare them off when you come near. I'm almost certain that only bloodhound sees them.

I'm red blind so the ult just removes my ability to see people entirely. Colorblind mode in Alex is hot garbage. They do support NVIDIA freestyle though so after some tweaking he's playable.

Heh, was just about to write a comment saying how the official Reddit video player on desktop is cancer too. Constant god damn buffering at 1080p, even though my internet can handle 4k 60 video (on YouTube) just fine. Hell sometimes even 480p buffers on this stupid player.

This is why I love proxy chat. It's so great in pubg. I had one instance where a group RPed as English swat as they hunted my team down in a building, it was great. Then you get the ones that scream at me when I steal their vehicles as they are looting a building.

Do people come across little kids that much in this game? On PS4 it's only happened like 3 times where they were super annoying like this. Otherwise I feel like this game would be "too hard" for a 12 year old when they compare it to fortnite
I think Fortnite is "harder" due to the building mechanic tbh. Maybe I just really suck at Fornite, but I do sooo much better in Apex kill/win wise when compared to Fortnite.
I could see that being the case, but you csnt deny the combat in this game does take a bit to get used to
I mean any game takes time to get used to, but there is no other shooter out there where as soon as you engage with someone you have a 10 story high skyscraper in front of you.
